My English Bulldog Has Diharrea

Can I Give Chamomile Tea to My English Bulldog?

YES!!! You can, or you can go to a specialty pet store or online and get one of these two items.

The first is called Mellow Mutt. It is like a beef jerky chew treat for dogs with chamomile in it. It does pretty well.

The other option is more like a supplement vitamin called Healthy Calm. It is a supplement based on weight that has chamomile and a few other natural ingredients in it. I actually use this one myself for my black lab. She has horrible separation anxiety and we had her on xanex and doggie pheromones to calm her down. What we found works the best is giving her the tablet before we leave, and we also use the DAP diffuser which is like a plug in air freshener, except it releases dog calming pheromones into the air. The combination of these two items keep her in a much calmer state of mind and keeps her anxiety at bay. The DAP is a little pricey, the Healthy Calm is about 20-25 for a bottle of 60 tablets. It's given by weight, so that will probably be 60 days worth for your sized dog.

By the way, my vet recommends the DAP plug in diffusers and collars, and when I told her about the Healthy Calm and wanting to try it, since the xanex wasn't helping she said it was fine as long as we followed directions properly.

BTW, for the posters saying tea has caffeine in it, yes but Chamomile tea DOES NOT! It is completely herbal with no caffeine

Good luck and I hope this helps!!! It really helped us!

What to give my English bulldog with diarrhea?

You may give your dog a tablespoon of Pepto Bismal. If that doesn't stop it, give him another one. Then, just give him once tablespoon every 8 hours if needed. This came from my vet. I've used it on my dog with great success.

Good companion for a 2-year old English Bulldog?

Personally I don't think that the 2 breeds you named would make an ideal companion for a boisterous English Bulldog. CKCS's are somewhat fragile not the type for "rough play", and dachshunds have such long backs that are very easily hurt... a harmless wrestling match between that and a Bulldog could easily go wrong. If you want a small dog, I would stick to one of the bully variety -- French Bulldogs and Boston Terriers for instance could easily hold their own with an English Bulldog. A small, feisty terrier-like breed might also be a good match -- I'm thinking along the lines of Manchester Terrier or Min Pin.

If you do end up going with one of the breeds you mentioned, I would go for the CKCS over the Dachshund, simply to avoid the back issues that come with that breed.

My english bulldog has had diarrhea for 5 days.?

My four year old female english bulldog has had a bad case of the runs for about 5 days now. We took her to the vet two days ago and he put her on albon and she did have a slight temperature but since then she dosent seem to be a whole lot better. She is on interceptor monthly but never been wormed for tapeworms. she is current on vaccines also. and also has no fleas, etc. I don't see any signs of Blood or Tapeworm in her stool. The vet did want to put her on puriana overweight managment dog food because she is about 15 pounds overweight. So we have made a slight change in her dog food. We introduced it slowly but she cant keep anything down now. We are going to take her back in the morning but i am wondering if anyone has ever went through anything like this? Just looking for Advice. thanks

Is loose stool normal for a 9 week old English Bulldog Puppy?

Sometimes breeders give a bag of premium food with the pupppy, while they use other food in their kennel. The sudden food change then almost always causes diarrhea in puppies.
Anyway, a small breed puppy formula is NOT recommended for bulldogs. Your puppy would need puppy food for medium breeds. It is important that puppies of medium and large breeds, and especially bulldogs, do not put on weight too fast as this may cause bone and joint problems later on. That is why bulldogs (and medium or large breeds of dogs) should be fed a formula especially designed for them. Many brands have a special formula for medium breed puppies, for example Royal Canin.
If you want to change formula, this should be done VERY gradually to avoid further problems (see the article below).
If in doubt or if the situation persists, don't wait until the next visit, but take your puppy to the vet.
Make sure your puppy is wormed regularly.

My English bulldog's jowl is a little yellow (probably because of his constant drolling). What can I do to make it white again?

I knew there were products to whiten dogs fur. There is actually a lot of them. They mainly are used for tear stains or dirty paws. I did find an article that has several solutions. The ones that that address the dogs diet may change your dogs saliva to stop future staining. The problem with the cleaning products are somthing that you don't want your dog's toungh to make contact with. It might be something you have to do daily. It wouldn't hurt to check with your Veterinarian to see why your dog's saliva is making his fur yellow.

Why is my English bulldog vomiting white? It is not foam.

I dunno. Call the vet. What a dog vomits can be what they have ingested in various forms of digestion, or it may be fluids and secretions of the GI tract.I can think of a hundred white things you dog may have eaten that he is now vomiting.I can think of several things from the GI tract (like worms) that are white in color. If the vomiting is more than a one-off then I would be at the vet’s…

Should you walk a bulldog since they have breathing issues?

Long time bulldog owner here. You should walk them bc they’re pudgey lil monsters;)They have weight problems and they’re lazy as heck. They need excercise bc if you do not give them physical stimuli they will become fatter, lazier lil monsters.Their breathing problems come from their smooshed faces. Dogs release heat through panting. Bulldogs have brachycephalic syndrome. This is partially bc of their elongated palette. So, they release heat through panting less efficiently than other dogs. This makes them very prone to heat exhaustion. Therefore, short walks in less than 85 degrees Fahrenheit.FYI: panting is like humans sweating. It cools the dog down during activity in which their bodies overheat.Excercise your bulldog in short intervals. Always have water for them and be prepared to carry their fat frames when they get tired.Bulldogs require a lot of care but they’re more than worth it.Ruger approves this message

What should I do if my dog has diarrhea after eating vanilla ice cream?

Stop feeding it vanilla ice cream as it can lead to gastrointeritis if not pancreatitis. Give bland diet and 1 Imodium tablet every 12 hours for 3 days max. If the dog seems painful in the abdomen, see a vet right away. If the diarrhea does not clear. See a vet. Good luck.
