My Facebook Photos Are Public But People Who Are Not My Friends Cant Like Them

Why can't my friends see my photo album on Facebook?!!?!?!?

Sounds like you have your photo privacy settings set too high. Go to the privacy page by clicking on the privacy link at the top right of any facebook webpage. Click 'profile' and then make sure that your "photos tagged of you" setting is set on friends or friends of friends. Then click the "edit photo albums privacy" link right below that and set that so that who you want to see it can see it.

A Facebook friend uploaded photos and tagged me, but the photos do not appear on my photo page. Why?

You are not able to see photos in which you tagged because your settings not allowed it.I suggest you to change your Facebook settings number 3 and 5( from the top) and Set it to off button.Change the setting is the only one way because if you are using facbook in app you're not able to review posts because F.B. app restrict your some activity. But If you are using Facebook in browser there's no need to change your settings because when someone tage you or post on your timeline you will get notification on to review post.Image source: mobile gallery

Why can't I view public profiles on FACEBOOK?

That's very weird....

The only thing I could come up with is that those people you are looking at, have friends in common with your friends.

People can make their profiles completely private, private, completely public, or available for "friends of friends" to see.

Completely private- no one can search you, no one can see your profile picture (if they are not friends with you). Only YOU can invite friends, because no one can even find you on facebook.

Private- people can search your name, find you, but they cannot go any further than seeing your profile picture and networks you belong to if they are not your friend. They can invite you as well.

Completely public- everyone can find you and see every bit of your profile, and even comment on things if they are not your friend. Basically it means every person that has a facebook has friend benefits with your profile.

Friends of Friends- Only people who are friends with your friends can see your complete profile, but they cannot comment or post anything to your wall. However, they can see all your pictures, all your information you have on your page, and everything friends have posted.

Maybe you do not have mutual friends with these seemingly "public" profiles... Where they are set as "friends of friends" can view it...

I hope this all makes sense.

If that persons profile is TRULY public, you should be able to see it. Not everyone has a public profile so I don't know how you can tell if a stranger is public or private...

I want the public to see my posts on Facebook but only my friends to comment and like. How can I do that?

There is a little globe symbol at the top right of the page that shows updates.  Go two spaces over to the right and there is a little down-arrow icon.  Click on this and when it opens up the new menu click on "settings."Now, on the left side of your screen click on "privacy."This will let you set it up easily.

How do I hide my likes and comments from my friends on Facebook?

You can't set custom audiences for comments and likes ("C/L"); rather C/L are generally visible to anyone who can see the post that was commented on or "liked"; this means that if you C/L on a public page, your friends could (and for that matter, theoretically anyone at all, though it's much less likely that a random non-friend would) see that.  FB maintain a database of actions, including comments and likes.  A handful of these will turn up in your friends' News Feeds.  You can see what actions you've recently done by going into your own profile and clicking "Activity Log" (so far, this functionality is somewhat limited in the mobile app).  You can right-click on the time of the action and bring up a window that looks like this (approximating what your friends might see):This will tell you who can see the post (in this case people who are friends with the person who posted it).  If you have poster's remorse in that you think someone could have seen what you did and you don't like it, you can "delete comment" or "unlike" the post from the little pencil in your activity log as so:I kind of agree with the earlier comment in that I don't worry about this for myself.  That's sort of the whole point of Facebook.  But if you absolutely MUST "comment" on or "like" a post without your friends knowing, you could make a second Facebook account or unfriend the people you don't want to know (technically, though, making a second account is against FB's terms of service).

Can I hide the names of people who liked my pic on Facebook?

Facebook doesn't have this feature where you can hide all or selective people who likes your pictures. This feature if available might work exactly opposite of what facebook algorithms dies now hence such a feature won't get introduced till they exists.Facebook is a copy cat, if some other app provides it's feature and the analysis proves that it's working in the interest of app then they might simply copy the feature. If I was able to you you do not forget to upvote and follow.Thank you.

Can I hide the likes and comments on a Facebook cover photo?

On the cover, no.. but on other pictures, yes, if you change the privacy settings before you upload them ( I usually upload from my wall, what I do is select the picture, and edit the privacy to Custom, and I choose who should and who should not see it )..

Why cant people see a video i shared on my wall on facebook from my friends wall?

Thanks for the reply, so he needs to make his video settings "Public" not just to "Friends" coz obviously its gonna be able to be viewed by people who he isnt friends with when its on my wall right?

How do people lock their profile picture on Facebook so no one can like or comment, just view?

Click on your profile picture. It will open in a picture viewer of facebook. On the right side below your name, near the date, there will be a symbol(by default the globe symbol). Click on this globe symbol, a dropdown of  "Who should see this ?" will appear. From this drop-down click on "Only me". The globe symbol should now be changed to the closed lock symbol. Done, your profile picture is now locked.

How to hide Facebook timeline from public?

I want non-contacts to see only the display photo and nothing else on my timeline. I don't want them to be able to click on "Show Older Stories" and see my timeline stuff. Is this possible?! Please tell me how.
