I'm 23 and My Parents WILL DISOWN ME IF I MOVE IN WITH MY BOYFRIEND WTF SHOULD I DO?
Ok im 23 and ive never lived away from home due to my parents being super religious and bascially kept telling me that living on my own would be too hard for me and i could live in their house till i was married and i didnt have to struggle on my own like most early 20 somethings anyways ive been with my boyfriend whos 32 and divorced for a year now and were talking about me moving in his house to see if we would be compatible for marriage his last marriage ended cause his wife cheated and he felt like he married "a stranger" and refuse to let that happen again and has emotional hang ups cant say he loves me cause he claims "i dont see you day in and out i dont know how i would be able to fall in love if you dont live with me" so i told my parents this and they went CRAZY telling me if i would fall for that crap they will never take me back they'll sell my car and they wont help me out at all (my mom takes me to work every day cause i have panic attacks while driving due to a bad wreck i had) anyways im torn i would love to have a chance to actually GROW UP and possibly have a REAL FUTURE with my boyfriend but at the same time my parents are my parents and i would be even more mentally messed up if they disowned me WHAT SHOULD I DO?? i dont want my boyfriend thinking im too young & immature for him
My mum says she'll disown me if I get a tattoo?
Since I was young I've always loved tattoos. When I was 16 I thought of my perfect tattoo idea, and now two years on I'm 18 and still want the design, so I know I definitely want it and won't change my mind. But my mum cannot STAND tattoos. She says they're ugly and horrible, and my dad got a tattoo at 17 and says he's always regretted it and hates it so I shouldn't do it. My boyfriend has two large tattoos and when he got them my mum was really disappointed because she hates them so much. Every time I mention getting one she says "if you do I will disown you" and changes the subject or even starts an argument. I'm 18 now and legal to get the tattoo I've always wanted but I'm genuinely scared that my mum might kick me out of the house or something? What should I do/say to her so that she will actually listen to what I've got to say and let me do why I want with my body?
My parents will disown me if i join the army....?
So my dad said 2 be that he'll disown me if i joined the army and don't tell me that my parents are going to come around because they're not. I KNOW they're serious about cutting me off. My dad said i cant go into the army because A) I'm muslim, my family is muslim and in Islam you cant go and kill another muslim which im not trying to do i just want to join the army and be a respiratory specialist so even if im deployed i'll be spending more time in a hospital rather than on ground or close to danger areas. Which is fine with me my dream is to be a doctor after serving B) I'm girl, so there for in my father's head I'll be setting myself up to be raped C) I'm Somali, and since the whole black hawk down thing happened a few years ago there's alot of somali angry people out there who dislike, no no, i mean HATE the US. Well that's all. I just need some help guys, how can i talk him out of it and don't tell me not to join Oh and im 19 years old
My dad has threaten me on disowned me. Can he?
i am only 14 years old and he first said it when i ask him for piercings he told me if i ever get them he will disowned me so i stop asking but this past few months i was doing bad in school and my mom and my dad were mad because the teachers called them this past week that i need to bring my grades up if not i will get kicked out of the school [i go to a early college high school] well my dad is the one that got mad he was saying on how ashame i should be if i got kick out of that school but i could careless because i am just staying in the school for my friends. well i haven't clean my room and well my mom got tired of telling me to clean it so she send my dad and then he told me that that i have to clean my room and then he blames saying i am the one that doesn't want a happy family and if thats what i want he can disowned me also because he doesn't want messy people in his house that this monday he will start investigating about it.

Okay, let me just say that I have the same fear as you for when I turn 18. I am a lesbian and I have a wonderful girlfriend, but my parents found out a few months ago and I was supposed to break up with her.I never did.We have a wonderful relationship and I love her more than anything. But when I’m 18 and I tell my father that I’m still dating her, I will most definitely be disowned. Luck for me, my parents weren’t married when they had me, so I have an escape route and can either go and live with my girlfriend or my mother.This might not help for your situation, but I would say that you do whatever the fuck you want to. Get the job you’ve always dreamed of. Find someone you love, do something amazing. Be yourself.(Super sorry if this doesn’t help)
