My Friend Hit Her Head But Refuses To Go To The Hospital Help

I got hit on the head and it hurts when I touch it, but there is no bruise. Should I be worried?

Yes. Go to the nearest Hospital right now, Please. I have had multiple Traumatic Brain Injuries. When your head gets hit, your brain hits the inside of your skull and bounces around, Your brain can bleed and swell inside your skull. You would not feel a bruise on the outside because you can’t feel inside of the skull where the damage is.Go to the nearest Hospital as soon as you can get a ride, do not drive yourself get a friend or relative to do so. A Taxi, Uber, Lyft or ambulance. Go to the ER. NOW

My friend hit her head, but won't go to the hospital! Please help!!?

My friend and I were walking back to our apartment after night class. We went down these concrete stairs and she tripped and fell down them she lost consciousness, but only for like 2 minutes. When she got up we finished walking back to my house and she said that she hit her head pretty hard and that her vision went all blurry. I offered to take her to the hospital, but she didn't want me to. I am really worried for her. She also can't remember the class that we were just in, but she remembers a lot of other things. She is in the bathroom right now throwing up. I don't know what to do she refuses to go to the hospital because she says she is fine (which I know she isn't) and wants to just go to bed. Should I let her fall asleep, because usually you shouldn't let someone fall asleep after they hit there head right? What should I do if she won't go to the hospital? Should I just call an ambulance anyway and let them deal with it?? Or just let her do what she wants?

I fell in the shower yesterday and hit my head right in the front, should I go to the doctor?

If you made it through the night and didnt slip into a coma you are probably over the worst of it. If the pain continues beyond a few days, or worsens go to the ER directly.

Its unlikely but you may have fractured your skull, although i imagine that if you did the pain would send you without question to the hospital. However, a small hairline fracture could get worse from swelling, causing more swelling and pain.

Its probable that you suffered a minor consusion, the pain is cause by the tissue that surounds your brain being swollen and irritated from your brain jiggling around.

more likely than nothing its just a bump on the head that will clear itself up just fine. Your vision shold remain the same, the pain should disapate over the next day or so, and your pupils should be the same size and contract with exposed to light at the same rate.

Youre on the right track with the motrin, avoid asprin and tylenol. asprin causes bleeding and keeps you from clotting, and tylenol wont reduce swelling.

I would make an appointment with a doctor, i doubt you have cause you rush to the ER as you are right now, but having the doc check your eyes and responces couldnt hurt.

The bump on your forehead is normal, its just a "goose egg" it'll turn purple and yellow and all sorts of icky colors, it'll probably be tender for a while.

usually the first night after a sever bump to the head is the scariest, but youre past that already. just monitor your pain, and have a doc look at you if youre worried.

:) get some rubber stickies for your shower!

My friend slapped my butt? i slapped her?

my friend is very, well sexual. im not, at all. i hate sex jokes and all things related because im a very prude person. Shes all ways making fun of me and stuff, like when i yawn she'll comment. (you know what i mean) And we'll be on the PUBLIC METRO on the way home from school, and she'll go up to someone we've only talked to like 3 times, and say "do you like ____? would you **** her?" and i get really really mad. she does it to get me pissed. we'll the past 2 days she's been trying to slap my ***. the first times she tried she only hit my leg, and she said "im going to slap it. watch." when we were waiting for the bus she did, and i turned around and slapped her. she was laughing, and i slapped her in the face \, she turned her head to get away and hit a brick wall. she had NO bruises. she got on the phone and called 911 and said "hello? im on the corner of _____ and _____. my friend just hit my head against a brick wall. i hope it was an accident." i don't even know if it was real or not, but i didn't hit her head against the wall, she did. she didn't even hit the wall hard, she just turned her head.
she texted me "if you don't tell your mom, i wont tell mine" she said she might go to the hospital.

i don't know what to do.

Help with mysterious lump on back of my head...?

I think the main reason everyone is going to tell you to go to the doctor is because if it is seriouse they don't want to be morally responsible for you not getting it checked out. I am on the same boat as them, but i understand becuase doctors can totally NOT have you rbest interest at heart and lead you in all the directions (Expensive ones) except the right ones. I would probably say firt see if you can have a friend or someone look at it or if you can with a mirror. Is it brused? Like red/pruple? If it is then your probably right you hit it in the night. Maybe i know it's gross but is it a pimple need to check that out too. But honestly i would say if after one more day or so you need to see a doctor. Maybe a free clinic? Or if your like me i will probe all of the nurses and physicians i know. Nurses usually know a lot more then we think , i mean they do all the work the doctors don't want to do. So they are a good source of pre-doctor visit information and help. Also i think most hospitals have a nurses hotline where they will do just that help you firgure out what's wrong (kind of) i mean they will always tell you they can't diganose you so don't be discouraged that is just a precotion. But you wil eventually and for your own safety have to see a doctor. So i hope all turns out well and it is just a bump from hitting it, but don't be too scared to make sure you know what your dealing with.

Have a blessed day !

I think my girlfriend has a concussion but I can't get her to go to the hospital, can I take her anyway?

My girlfriend and I were at the gym. We both were playing basketball, her against other females, me against other males(separate courts). I didn't see what happened exactly to her but all I know is she was running to the basket, slipped and fell and hit her head on the court. She was out completely,I went over there and it took a minute or two for her to wake up. When she did she didn't/couldn't remember what happened but she said I looked 'fuzzy'. After a few minutes she said she was fine besides a headache, wanted to get up. I helped her to her feet and we left. My plan was to take her to the hospital since she was off-balanced. She kept saying she didn't want to go and that she was fine, she just wanted to go home. I've been trying to convince her to go to the hospital for the past two hours but she refuses but I really do think she has a concussion since she'll ask me the same thing over and over, she's still off-balanced when on her feet and she says I look blurry.

My question is,since she is an adult but not really in her right mind, can I take her to the ER and they check her out anyway? I've had friends that have said yes and some have said no. I need an answer please!

How do I convince my parents to take me to the hospital?

I have had a headache for over 18 hours now, combined with nausea, dizziness, blurred vision, ringing in ears, sensitivity to light, and a constant shaking of my entire body. I hit my head really hard last night and got the headache shortly afterwards. After hitting my head, I blacked out for a few seconds and had trouble standing. I couldn't fall asleep last night until four in the morning, and when I did go to sleep, I cried myself to sleep because the pain hurt that much. I tried withstanding the pain all day today, but its still there. Advil and Aleve hasn't done anything, and I am crying again as I am writing this because I am in so much pain and out of options. My stepdad told my mom that there is nothing to worry about and I'm not in serious pain, but this is the worst pain I've ever had and I don't know what it is. My mom thinks its bad, and she made me feel soooo much better by telling me a story about a friend of hers who fell in the shower and hit his head, and he didn't think much of it until he suddenly dropped dead. I don't want something like that to happen to me. I can't even turn my head without wincing from the excruciating pain. My stepdad is a doctor, but for cancer patients, not head specialists. I really don't know what to do. How do I convince them that its serious? And do you think I should go to the hospital. I am only 15, so I can't drive myself. Please help!
