My Friend Wants To Know Of A Good Laptop Under 300 Dollars That Can Run The Sims 3

For $1,200, what’s a good gaming laptop?

I’d have to go with the ASUS GL703VM-WB71. This laptop definetly holds its own with an i7–7700HQ, GTX 1060 6GB, 16GB DDR4 RAM, and 1TB storage. The only drawback is that there’s no SSD. If you were to buy the laptop by Monday, you could get it with a 256GB SSD for only $50 more. If not, don’t buy the ssd version at full price for $200 more. The link to both will be at the bottom of the answer. Also, if you want more confirmation, I asked a few professionals that I know and they said the same thing. “SSD would be really nice, but an overall solid laptop”Laptop: Are you a human

When browsing desktops, what type of graphics card should i be looking for?

Off-the-shelf computers in the $600 price range won't have good graphics cards. They'll either have integrated graphics or low-end cards like the Radeon HD 6450 or GeForce GT 520. While those are enough for Runscape and Minecraft, they aren't enough to play games like Starcraft 2 or even easier games like WoW on max settings. You'll need to buy a graphics card separately.

Your best option is buying a starting computer with a Core i3 processor, then upgrading. Intel's processors are much better than AMD for gaming purposes:

So start with this:

Then add this:

That combo would easily play Minecraft & Runescape maxed. SC2 would play on high settings. The Radeon HD 7750 doesn't draw much power and works fine on your computer's factory 300 watt power supply.

Truthfully for SC2 maxed a $600 computer really can't do it... you'd need at least a $130 graphics card like a GeForce GTX 560 SE or GTX 460 (which require upgrading the computer's power supply) and preferably a $170 card like a GTX 560 (regular non-SE version).

So for higher performance, go with these instead:

Of course that means you'd be spending around $650 total.

Starcraft 2- For reference, the GTX 560 SE performs identically to the 768B GTX 460:

Should I switch to a MAC??!?! im SOOOO fed up with WINDOWS VISTA!!Tell me things that make me buy it!!?

I don't see why people are telling me that macs are more expensive lol. My computer when I ordered it was 1,300 from HP. The Mac is only 1,500. what is 200 dollars?? Nothing when it comes to what product makes you happier lol. plus it's not like i have any other expenses that I need to keep track of...my cell phone is on a family plan, no car payment, dad pays insurance and for college... sooo, im all set reallyyyy... my 4000 dollars is pretty much to pay my credit card bill in full every month.... and the only things i buy are food and clothes loll. and gas.
