My Google Play Library Deleted Itself

I accidentally deleted the Google app store from my phone, what should I do now to restore it?

There are multiple ways to get Google Play back, depending on what exactly you may have done to the app.Enable from App SettingsThere are chances you may still be having Google Play on your device. It may have just been ‘disabled’. To fix this:Head over to Settings on your Android device. Then head over to ‘Applications’ or ‘Application Manager’ or whatever your phone calls it.Apps are usually divided into ‘Downloaded’, ‘On card’, ‘Running’ and ‘All’. Click on ‘All’.Scroll around and you may find ‘Google Play Store’ in the list. Tap to open.If you see a ‘Disabled’ configuration on this app – tap to Enable. That’s it. You should have your beloved Play Store back again.

Google Play Services takes up too much space (161 MB). What do I do?

Most Google apps have a single button in settings to clear your data or cache. However, Play Services deals with data from many apps. You may not have noticed, but you can actually manage stored data with much finer controls from Play Services. To access the stored data, you'll head to the same place you normally find stored data for other apps. Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Services.Typically, you'd find a button here marked "Clear data." For Play Services, though, you'll see a button that says"Manage Space." Tap this button. The menu you see will have options to manage or clear a variety of data. You can tap "Manage search data" to see which apps have stored search data, and clear them all at once if you wish (itdoesn't seem possible to clear search data on a per-app basis just yet). There are also buttons to clear data from apps using Drive storage, or other Play Services. If you have an Android Wear device, you can also clear data related to mirroring information to your wearable. It may not be useful for everyone, but if you're trying to scrape together some extra space, it's a nice extra option to explore.

If you delete photos from your iPhone, will they be deleted from Google Photos?

It depends from which app and how you’re deleting the photos. The safest (but not necessarily the most efficient) way is to do it directly from the (Apple) Photos app, since the deletion will not propagate to Google Photos. If you’d like to delete them all in one go from the Google Photos app on your iPhone:Launch Google PhotosTap on the three horizontal lines (≡) near the search barTap on “Free up space”Tap on “Remove (xx)”If you’d like to delete only some pictures from the Google Photos app, then:Select the desired picture(s)Tap on the three dots (top right corner)Tap on “Delete device original”If needed, allow the deletion from iCloud Photo LibraryIf you tap on the trash icon, then it will be deleted from both Google Photos and your iPhone. Please note that if you chose “High quality” as the upload size for your photos and videos, Google Photos has:compressed versions of all your pictures (even if their resolution is lower than 16 MPixels)videos resized to 1080p (even if you shot them in 4K)Unless you already have backup copies somewhere else, I’d recommend to plug your iPhone to a computer (Mac or Windows) and make a second backup before proceeding with the deletion from your device.Hope this helps!

Google Play Music: I have the "automaticaly sync with Itunes" option enabled for my Googlemusic account.  I assume that when I add a song/playlist/etc to i tunes it will automatically add them to my gmusic account.  What about when I delete the hard copies off of i tunes?  I would delete many of my songs off my computers hard drive, but not if this is going to lead to those same songs being deleted from my gmusic account, because then I would obvioulsy lose those songs entirely.  Thanks.

Google Play Music is like a cloud. It’ll update itself if it sees any new files, but once it is uploaded, it is uploaded. You could delete that song from the local drive, but Google Play Music will still have that track. Same goes for iTunes. If you want to delete anything, you will need to go manually and delete the track.

Suppose I installed an app, uninstalled it and maybe after some days, reinstalled it for use. Does that count as 2 downloads on Google Play Store?
