My Great Dane Has Had Very Loose Stool/diarrhea With A Mucousy Like Substance What Can I Do To

My dog is suffering from loose motions and is vomiting too. What are the remedies to avoid this?

I’m guessing by now you would have taken the dog to the vet.So, when these symptoms are shown, it can mean that dog has eaten some foul stuff like garbage or other non-eatables . The best thing to do is provide the dog some open grassland where they can nibble to grass(it helps in digestion), giving them leaves like tulsi or mint also helps. I try to add green leafy veggies in my dog’s food as she also sometimes finds weird stuff to eat. Carrots are give away to dogs as chew toys and are really helpful for them. You should try feeding the dog laxatives, when you know they have been through garbage or dustbin, after consulting the vet.The conclusive answer to your question will be given with surety only by a vet.

Why would a dog suddenly start to drool excessively?

I'm glad to see you have consulted your veterinarian, and generally, sudden drooling, if your dog is eating and drinking normally, can be attributed to something caught in the dog's mouth. I am concerned that the dog has had excessive drooling for such an extended period of time. If something is caught in the dog's teeth, the problem should have resolved itself within several hours. There are many reasons why a dog starts excessively drooling. The most common reasons are due to dental issues. Tooth decay and mouth disease can cause drooling. Check your dog's mouth and look for tarter buildup that can cause irritation and drooling. Check the gums and see if they are pink and healthy. Make sure there is no foul odor, which can be an indication of infection and other problems. Dental problems can pop up quickly, especially if your dog is not a bone chewer. Dental problems left untreated can cause many other more serious problems. Other less common reasons for excessive drooling range from upper respiratory infections to injesting poisonous plants to liver and kidney diseases. Another possibility is the presence of a tumor. All of these cases require a veterinary check up.It is a good sign that the dog is eating and drinking normally, most likely ruling out the more serious reasons. However, it is concerning the dog has been drooling for three days. You know your dog's behavior best, and if the dog is behaving normally or not. If the drooling continues, it would be well worth a trip to the vet to get the pup checked out.

My pregnant dogs temperature has been 98 all day, when will she begin whelping?

My dog was bred from the dates of September 18th to October 9th. She is huge at this point and as previously stated her temp has remained right around 98 all day today. What should I expect next and how soon should the pups arrive?

Dead fish has grown a very thick coating of slime?

IT'S NOT ICH!!!!
Why is it when someone ask about a fish illness, people crawl out of the woodwork saying ich! There are many diseases out there and this has nothing to do with ich! The fish died and the bactieal started breaking down the fish, as it was left in the water and wasn't removed. This was part of the after death process, not what caused the death.

Why does my dog have excessive drooling and foul odor from its mouth and will not eat or drink?

Wow, I hope you have taken your dog to the veterinarian. Drooling is a serious clinical sign of any of the following; foreign body stuck somewhere in the mouth, pain in the mouth, inability to swallow, neoplasia of the mouth, infection, and nausea.Halitosis is a result of any of the above situations. Metabolic diseases such as kidney disease, liver disease, and pancreatic disease cause change in the mouth odor.Anorexia is a strong indication that not all is well. Please see a veterinarian. If you can’t afford seeing a veterinarian then borrow some funds or at least check with your local humane society for help.
