My Hair Blow Is Broken And My Diffuser Wont Fit On My Other Hair Blower What Can I Do

How do girls everywhere have awesome hair that is silky, flowy, shiny, with no split ends? How do I achieve this with no frizz or flyaways?

Are you referring to girls in movies, commercials etc? Well, they have army of hairdressers with them on sets and everywhere to manage their hair for them. But we can achieve manageable hair up to certain extend on our own. With my own experience I can safely share some tips with youIf you have extremely frizzy, unruly hair then go for protein or Keratin treatments. Unlike permanent straightening, Keratin work wonders in taming hair.Dont use products meant for straight hair on curly hair. There are many products available specially for curly hair, invest in them.Never wash dry hair, always apply oil a night before or atleast 2 hours before wash. You can use good quality Argan oil instead different serums and curly hair balm.Fight dandruff with good anti-dandruff shampooAir dry hair instead blowing them everyday. Use heat protectant and give break to irons time to time.If you have any specific queries, post them in commentsP.S:My hair before keratin treatment. After treatment:

Why isn't my blow dryer blowing hot air?

I put it on the hottest setting, but it just blows cool air. I've plugged it into 3 different sockets in my house so I know it's not our electricity that's the problem. It sometimes blows hot air, but it only lasts like 3 minutes and then it blows cool air. Is there any way to fix this?

Is it bad manners to go out of the house with wet hair?

As an etiquette consultant I can tell you there is no etiquette rule regarding wet hair when going out in public. That being said, it would not be proper to attend a religious service, wedding or funeral with wet hair as it would be showing disrespect for the occasion. If you are simply going to school, the store, etc... there is no rule regarding this.

You may receive odd looks from people, but they would be rude to stare or comment on your hair. If you tell any of these people that your hair is none of their business, then you as well would be exhibiting rudeness. Simply smile and say something like, 'Ran out of time this morning." or, "Blow dryer is broken..." whatever you wish, then move on. They have no business telling you what bad manners you have, they are simply being examples of bad manners themselves.

Why is my hair better looking 1-2 days after being washed?

When you wash your hair, you strip all of the oil and dirt out of your hair to make it clean. The oil is what keeps your hair shiny and lets it stick together in nice looking locks.Do not stop washing your hair, because stripping all the oil and dirt out of your hair periodically keeps it from building up into a gross, excessive amount. Use a leave in conditioner or put a tiny bit of oil (like argan oil, rosehip oil, or cocoa butter oil). This lets you skip right to how your hair will be at the three day mark, when your body has created enough oil for your hair to be rehydrated again.Blow drying your hair also makes it seem more messy because the heat from the blow dryer exasperates how dehydrated your hair is right after you've washed it. The heat can also damage your hair in general, but I've never seen too much damage from just using a blow dryer. The really bad cases are from constant flat ironing. If you do use oil instead of leave in conditioner, do not apply the oil when your hair is still wet. This makes it hard to gauge when you should stop adding oil and its so, so easy to overdo it and make a greasy mess. You need a tiny drop, rub it around in your hands until its just a thin film you can't see but can feel, then run your fingers through your hair. Repeat this until your hair is the way you like.Air drying your hair can take several hours (mine does but my hair is THICK.) This is the worst case scenario but I like the effect air drying has on my own hair.I hope this helps! Thanks for the A2A!

What are the disadvantages of using a hair dryer?

When you use a hair dryer, the hair follicles get damaged due to heat, it becomes fragile and it opens the pores of scalp that increases the hairfall in a long run. Anything that is heat destroy the hair. It makes the hair frizzy but many people do use it for styling purpose. But proper care of hair would not need to be styled. You should do oil massage your hair, an hour before steaming. Keep a hot towel on head for steaming and then shampoo and condition as usual. Conditioning is important as shampoo dries up your hair. Also oil treatment is important as it moisturizes the scalp.

Your Opinion: Spiral Perm or Hair Cut with layers?

I have the same problem!

My hair is very straight and right past my shoulders. I would do anything for a little lift or body!! Anyways, I would not recommend perming your hair. I have a friend who tried it recently, and the curls came out small and 80s ish, which is normal for any perm (even if they tell you that it wont happen!).

Instead of a perm, I would highly recommend getting layers. Nothing is better for summer then a fresh haircut with bouncy layers. Tell your stylist that you prefer choppier layers (so that they dont end up in a straight line), and to take a couple inches off your length. When styling your hair, add a bit of volumizing moouse or texurizing product before blow drying. Blow dry your hair upside down to get major volume and afterwards spritz with a volumizing spray to keep your style in place.

Also, with a hair cut with layers, you have greater versatility. instead of your hair being constantly curly (and damaged from the perm), you can switch from straight hair to curly each day! Have you ever tried scrunching your hair? If you are looking for a softer curl/wave, use volumizing moose, and blow dry your hair with a diffuser hair dryer.

You can find all of these products at Walmart, Target, and your local grocery store, and they are not expensive.

Good luck with everything!

I have horrible, ugly, wavy hair and i don't know what to do!?

aw, you sure are hard on yourself. Really, it sounds like a good shaping is in order. Layers, mostly long layers; as it will shrink up if it is that curly. If you get the right cut, I'd say for school, go ahead and streighten your style a couple times a week- but invest in a good tourmaline strieghtener. On other days (or second day, dont shampoo) wear it in a messy bun or french braid, but curl, wave or strighten the bangs and face pieces. To keep dryness and friz down, wash every other day, even tho you may be showering everyday-( I do this to keep my natural oils in.) If you think a perm would help you to go wavy withought heat tools, do it. and dont let anyone talk you into something you dont want. If you only want a partial to match your natural wave, find the hairdresser that is listening, and do that. If you want to change the overall curl, like say to bigger waves and more consistent, do the purplle to peach rods- a good stylist can give you a directional perm making the waves go in pretty much any direction.- but then wearing using cuticle smoothing products WITH finishing jel are REALLY neccessary. ( but im thinking you already do this-)
You have alot of options- dont dispair. Just decide if you want your look to be flexible this year, then pick 2 or 3 ways you will do your hair, and then start with the cut/shaping. Try to get the stylist who knows wavy hair,( cutting it dry/ barely damp)
cheers
