My Hair Is Very Bumpy And Annoying.

How do you get rid of hair bumps on your legs to get smooth skin?

These little annoying bumps are caused by ingrown hairs. (i know, it sounds really gross but its actually really common, lol) Ingrown hairs happen when the little baby shaved off hair grows into the side of the follicle instead of out through the surface of your skin (sorry for the science lesson but when I dealt with this, it was interesting. haha).

Now here's what you're really looking for...how to be rid of them:
Before you shave, exfoliate your legs with some sort of a mild exfoliant. you don't want to irritate your skin, you just want to get the dead skin cells off as they make ingrown hairs happen even MORE when you shave.
Another thing to do is you can shave "with" the hair growth...you know...when you're standing, you would normally shave up for instance, but instead, you want to shave DOWN. get it get it?
then you could (to protect against infection) dab benzoyl peroxide, hydrogen peroxide, or rubbing alcohol on your legs after. you can do this shaving either way...with or against the hair growth.
Don't forget to MOISTURIZE...*always* slather on a moisture-rich, not overly perfumy lotion after shaving. This will help prevent ingrown hairs from returning. :)

If that doesn't work (which I imagine it should), try soaking in a warmish hot bath for ten-fifteen minutes, then shaving, then applying the peroxide and the lotion.

How to get rid of hair bumps?

So I take a shower at night and go to sleep with my hair wet. Every morning I wake up, there is "natural volume" at the back right top of my head. It's annoying and gives my hair unwanted volume because I always straighten my hair. I have tried to straighten it but it does not go away. Any ideas on how to get rid this unnessecary volume? (I untagle my hair each night and DO NOT part it, I brush it back

Help with shaving? Bumps turn into whiteheads and it's very annoying!?

I just need some help on my shaving.

I use a gillette razor, gillette shaving cream and neutrogena after shave.

I wet my face and mustache with warm water then apply shaving cream to my mustache and cheeks. I then shave the hair with my razor, it doesn't hurt at all and I do a good job. I shave in the right direction, going down with the hair. I then wash off all the extra shaving cream, splash some water on my face, and apply some aftershave that supposedly helps prevent bumps.

About a day later I will have some red bumps around my mustache. I leave them alone but then they actually become whiteheads!

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but this always happens to me when I shave. What can I do to stop this? The whiteheads are VERY annoying and ugly and I just want a nice shave with no AFTER EFFECTS.

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong, what I must do or any tips to stop these bumps.

Dry skin and bumps on legs and arms?

I have really dry skin on my arms and my legs. Mt elbows and knees have little rough bumps on them. The skin on my legs is so dry and you can see little "cracks" of skin that is lighter than my real skin color. They are like thin lines. And the bumpy skin is really annoying. How can I get rid of these and the dry skin? Maybe a remedy? Anything that will make both go away fast, but if not fast, at least affectively?

Thanks!
