My Hair Keeps Falling Out

My hair keeps falling out?

Okay, first things first, hair loss can come from a variety of reasons, but before you get really upset, know that you lose about 60 hairs every single day, so that can be part of your loss. Now, if your diet is deficient in protein, vitamin A, vitamin B complex - then you can start to lose more hair. If you are under a lot of stress, you can lose more hair. If you drink coffee or soda, the acid in either of them can cause your hair to become brittle and break. If you are deficient in Calcium and Magnesium you can lose hair. If you are dehydrated you can lose hair.

So, first things first, get your hair trimmed about 1/2 inch to clean up the ends. Second, go buy a shampoo that has Keratin in it, Keratin is protein - hair is made up of protein and you need to be eating lots of protein for hair to be healthy. When it's not you can help it along with shampoo and conditioner. So, get some keratin shampoo - there's plenty out there, have a look https://www.google.com/search?q=shampoo+...

And, improve your diet by eating more protein, and reduce snacks, caffeine, soda and salt too.

To top off you need to be drinking a lot of water right now, moisturize your body but good. Get some multi-vitamins to take at least one daily to help improve your body's well-being. Follow all these tips and see how things are in 4 weeks. You should notice some improvement. And last, make sure you are getting enough sleep - not sleeping well adds stress to the body, and that impacts health, and yup, hair. Hair loss is a sign that something's wrong with the body, it's up to you to improve your body's health and the hair condition will most likely improve.

I`m 16 and my hair keeps falling out?

There are several reasons why your hair maybe falling out and it is dependant on your lifestyle and how it is falling out

If you are suffering from hypothyroidism you hair becomes thinner and more brittle and will experience more dropping off, this would be the cause if you are also gaining weight, suffering constapation, maybe a slight yellow colour to the skin, heavier periods or find you are more sensetive to the cold. Hypothyroidism will effect the hair on the rest of your body so you will notice the outside of your eye brows and other bodily hair has the same reaction.

Most likely and indeed what I first thought when I read the title of this question, is a syndrome called alopecia, there is relativly little known about this disorder but it is believed to be related to stress and a change of life style (so if your at a school being bullied, moving schools can stop this). There are various forms of alopecia, some you loose patches of hair on the scalp, to alopecia totalaris where no hair grows anywhere on your body.

As you probally worked out, a lot of people suffer from hair damage as a result of abuse, colouring (in particular bleach), straightening, frequent washing (once a day constitutes very frequent), gels (which freeze the hair root) can all cause damage.

One thing I must address, although it is unlikely but I do have to mention that causes hair loss is poisioning, you may have heard that chemotherapy for cancer causes hair loss, and I am not suggesting you are going through that but other drugs and poisions also do, maybe you are taking a prescription drug and its a side effect? Or an illegal drug which has been cut or bulked out with a rat poision? Contact with pesticides or other animal poisions or even a house fumigation?

I doubt you are being poisioned or certainally not deliberately but it is something to consider

I'm 14 and my hair keeps falling out!?

For a year now...i haven t really paid close attention to this problem. But i notice when im shampooing my hair or conditioning it i will grab hold of it and kinda pull lightly and a bunch of hair (like 8-10 strands) will fall out. I also notice between my thighs alot like big chunks....is this bad or normal?

I'm only 14 why does my hair keep falling out....?

Okay well I have very thick and wavy hair, and I mean it's REALLY thick. I got a japenese straightening about 3 years ago, although it grew out. I also straighten my hair every day. But I don't think that's the issue b/c my hair has been falling out in the shower for as long as I can remember. How do I stop it? Thanks :)

Why does my hair keep falling out?

I went through this & it got so bad for me that I actually called my doctor about it. I was told that stress causes it. My hairdresser told me use Pantene Restoratives & it has helped tremendously. I see MUCH less hair loss now.

Good luck honey, I feel your pain.

I'm 14 and my hair is thinning and keeps falling out?

i know how you feel. i used to be like that. you just need to use heat protecter. & get anti-snap from red ken ( you could get that from any salon ) & put it in after you shower, keep it in & your hair will feel healthy after a few weeks, hope i helped (:

Why does my hair keep falling out?

It sounds normal to me unless you have a big bald patch on your head. Everybody loses about 100 hairs everyday. You probably just never realized it before because your hair was shorter. It's easier to spot a long hair in your shower or on your brush than a tiny little one. I find a lot of hair in my shower too but I don't have any bald spots and my hair is very thick.

Why does my hair keep falling off after i got a perm?

You mean you had a relaxer. A "perm" usually means a permanent wave, that is, to have curly hair.

A relaxer only works on the hair that it touches. After a year, your hair will have grown quite a lot, and it will NOT be straight. Sorry to tell you. Whoever sold you that treatment made themselves a lot of money.

Yes, when you use the relaxer on your hair (which is a very caustic product --meaning it dissolves hair), it will weaken your hair. There is no way around that. If you have weak hair to start with, it will cause severe damage. Depending on how the hair was handled at the time of the treatment, you may be breaking it off at that weak spot every time you manipulate your hair. Every time you rub it during the shampoo, every time you comb your hair when wet, every time you brush your hair.. you are breaking off more hair.

What now? This will continue until all the hair has grown out and you have cut it all off. That hair is permanently damaged. You can use some products to keep it softer and hopefully some that will make it stronger, but basically, there is nothing much you can do about it now. Just treat it gently, try to keep it on your head for as long as possible. The good news is that your hair is always growing and the new hair will be as healthy as you can make it, so let's hope it grows really fast!!

The next time... well, I think you already know what you have to do the next time (if there is one).
