My dog keeps licking her butt constantly!?

Most of the time, treatment for hemorrhoids involves steps that you can take on your own, such as lifestyle modifications. Learn here https://tr.im/NE0pM

But sometimes medications or surgical procedures are necessary. If your hemorrhoids produce only mild discomfort, your doctor may suggest over-the-counter creams, ointments, suppositories or pads. These products contain ingredients, such as witch hazel or hydrocortisone, that can relieve pain and itching, at least temporarily.

Don't use an over-the-counter cream or other product for more than a week unless directed by your doctor. These products can cause side effects, such as skin rash, inflammation and skin thinning.

Hmmm… Many times, dogs that obsessively lick their paws are suffering from an allergic reaction or stomach issues. (Why paws? I'm not sure, but it's considered a tell tale sign of something wrong) I strongly suggest you visit your vet to ensure he’s not doing it out of some internalized issue. If all that turns out ok, I would do redirections. Every time you see him lick them, introduce a toy and redirect his attention to a short play session.I would also try and see if he grooms his paws obsessively during certain times/stimulis. Is it anxious reaction? Is he overstimulated? Try and see if you could troubleshoot the whys. If he does it regardless of when, how, who, and where, he could have some slight OCD (yes, dogs can get similar mental illnesses, and some breeds are more prone than others, ex: Pomeranians with OCD.) or anxiety that you can discuss with your veterinarian.Overall, the question is very much an umbrella and should be discussed with your veterinarian in case of possible health issues.

My Cat is licking her legs and belly constantly - what gives?

You need to see a different vet.......

If your cat is constantly licking, but doesn't have fleas and is not pregnant, then she probably has an allergy to SOMETHING! If she's licking because she ITCHES, a vet can give her a steroid shot to control the itch. Once the itch is gone, she should stop the "habit" of licking.......and her hair would grow back.

Have you changed her litter, food, or even the detergent/soap you use lately? She may be allergic to whatever you wash your bedding in......used a different fabric cleaner / deodorizer in the home, etc?

Even using a different cologne, talcum, etc, ON YOU......ANYTHING that your cat may lie on could be causing the itching. Think about what could have changed in the past few months.....you may be able to "narrow it down" and figure out what could be causing this.

Hope this helps.........Good luck with the "detective" work!

Why does my dog keep licking his butt hole and his stomach is making really weird noises?

Check your dog for tapeworms. Tapeworm segments, found on the skin and in the fur around the anal area, look like bits of rice. You may also find segments in his stool. Take him to the vet who will prescribe medication. If your dog is an avid hunter, there is more of a chance of him having tapeworms. Check him constantly if he does hunt regularly.
Keep your dog's outside play area as clean as possible at all times.

My dog has been licking her stomach ....?

There's lots of reasons a dog can lick. She could have allergies, does she have fleas or are there any signs of a rash or tick bite there? Also any chance of pregnancy? My sister, although she loved her dog really couldn't afford one. Her dog got stuck with a neighborhood stray and got pregnant. She started licking her belly like crazy when the puppies first started to move around and she could feel them. I think since it was her first and only litter(thank god) she didn't know what was happening in there and she would lick her belly to sooth the moving. It could be something like ring worm or some other skin condition. It could also be some intestinal or belly discomfort. So the best thing to do is call a vet and get their advice. They may want to see her to figure out what it could be. Good luck.

Dogs & owners, my sister is pregnant and my dog keeps licking her belly and smelling her belly button?

This same thing happend with my sister and her golden retriever, he kept licking her belly and was constantly at her side. When the baby was born he refused to leave the baby alone for any amount of time, they litterally had to kick him outdoors to go potty and then he would bark and want back in. He slept in the baby's room and to this day does not leave the childs side. The baby girl is now 4 yrs old. I hate to see what happens when she goes to school next yr heheh. He is a good dog and a very protective dog :)

Good luck

Without knowing more details, I can only offer you some things to check out with your pup.  When you say "keep licking", do you mean every 5 minutes, many times a day or just most days once or twice.  If your dog is licking constantly, then I would suggest you take him to a veterinarian since he may have something embedded in his nose, or some disfunction with the inner workings of his nose.  If he licks some every day, he might like the taste of food that gets caught on his nose when he eats, OR he may have allergies that cause his nose to itch or drip.  You might wipe the area with a warm, wet wash cloth, and maybe trickle a little water around his nose to clear it, and see if that helps.  Hope this helps with your pup.

He’s thirsty. Mine does that too when he’s thirsty. Just offer up some FRESH, cold water (bonus points for ice cubes in it. Mine likes his water cold.). You can later put a frozen blue plastic lunch pack cooler item under the cold water bowl, wrap the cold thing that keeps ur food cold & the water bowl with a towel. This way it stays cooler longer. Will have to change blue plastic freezer pack 2x a day.BTW, you happen to live in NJ (no offense to people over there), give bottled water. Mine doesn’t like Jersey water, but he likes NYC water.
