My In Car Dvd Player Won

Why won't my DVD player play a CD?

All DVD players are intended to be downward-compatible with readable, properly-formated (Red Book standard) CDs. That is, commercially-produced read-only (silver) audio discs. If your player won’t read ANY such CDs it is possibly a non-standard player or (less likely) broken in some unusual way.If there is one particular disc, or a subset of discs that won’t play it might be:The disc is scratched or otherwise damaged. Different players have different levels of sensitivity to such damage, and often a DVD player is actually more sensitive than a CD-only player. The disc is a burned CD-R or CD-RW using a disc type that your particular player has trouble with. Different blank discs use different dyes and different burners and burning speeds can affect the ability of a particular player to read. The disc is a non-standard audio CD - some players can read and play data-formatted discs with .WAV or .MP3 or other format files, but many cannot.

How can i run my car dvd player while driving?

You should have a wire designated for the e-brake hookup. Take that wire, and put it in each pin of the diagnostic port while the car is on, when you find the one that makes the dvd play splice it onto that one. You may have to put a toggle switch in line so that it will fool the player. That is what I did and may not be the best option. Hope it helps.

How can you fix a DVD player that won't read a disc?

Sometimes if you are lucky a DVD player or drive that won't read a disc might not be broken, instead might just need a cleaning. I had an old server that stopped reading discs in its DVD drive. When I looked more closely I saw it was quite dusty. Even though you shouldn't touch the lens, I went ahead and gently swiped my finger across the lens and that fixed the problem. I was able to do this because my drive is like a laptop drive where it comes out and you can see it, many players/drives won't do this. In the picture you can see my finger swipe in the dust. My recommendation is if the drive might be dirty, spend a couple bucks and get a CD/DVD cleaner. I do have one somewhere and it's basically a CD with little brushes on it that will sweep of the dust. Good luck.

Car DVD player....?

It's called noise, or signal interference. Check with the place that you had it installed and tell them about the situation. Usually they will install a noise suppressor. Essentially what is happening is your alternator is feeding magnetically charged power into the DVD player, which crops up in the audio system as static-or the whistle noise that you are hearing. It used to be a huge problem in car audio. Good Luck

The disc won't spin on my portable dvd player... how do i fix it?

Try wiping down the lens to the laser with a q-tip. On some players, after a while the lens clouds over and can't see the disk. You might moisten the tip with just a little (Very little) moisture, but dry it off with the other end op the q-tip...do not use alcohol as it will ruin the laser lens.

Check also to see how fresh your batteries are....some laser diodes are very voltage fussy...yeah, the motor will spin the disk, but the electronics won't 'see' the disc.

My RCA portable DVD player won't work?

I have had this portable DVD player since christmas. It's worked fine for months, but then one day it stopped turning on. When I have it plugged in there is a green light on like it's charging, but then when i try to turn it on, nothing happens. I have also tried putting a movie into it before turning it on, but nothing. It hasn't been dropped or anything. I don't understand why it won't turn on. Anyone have any ideas?

Clarion VRX765VD DVD player won't work?

How can I make my DVD player play sound through car speakers?

If The DVD Player Has A Headphone Jack, Then...
1. Go To Walmart And Buy An FM Transmitter For $15.
2. Set The Transmitters FM Station.
3. Tune Your Vehicles Radio To The Transmitters Desired Station.
-And There You Have It, The Easiest Way To Get Audio Through Your Vehicles Speakers.
-Unless Your Vehicle Has An AUX Input, Then Just Send The AUX Cable From the DVD Player To The Vehicles Radio Component. So Theres 2 Ways I Guess... Lol...

My overhead DVD player in my car won't transmit to my wireless headphones....?

I just installed a DVD player in the headliner of my truck. The guy who sold it online said it was IR compatible, but nothing in the papers say that it is....all it shows on one page is "FM wireless headphone-optional" So, I bought 3 pair of IR headphones that do nothing. Should I get a different kind of headphone? Have you even heard of an overhead using FM wireless?

My Portable DVD Player won't work properly?

I bought the Goodmans Portable DVD player about 2 years ago (model GDVD67W4LCDK). It works perfectly when i have it plugged in at the wall but even after days of charge, when i remove the plug it stops working and won't turn on.

I want it for a long car trip next week and my dad won't let me use the charger that connects to the cars battery because it uses up petrol.

Thanks:)
