Were my instagram accounts hacked?
I was on the app, closed it, went to another one, went back to it and it said I had been logged out and that the owner had changed the password. I never did that. I tried signing back in with my usual password and it said it was incorrect. I selected to reset my password. The thing is, the email I used was very old(made when i was a child) and it was from a very crappy website. I signed into the email and tried clicking on the “reset my password” and that button wasnt working. I think it might be due to the crappy website of my email, but all the other links on that email works. A few minutes later, I logged into my other instagram account. I close the app, used another app, came back and the same thing had happened. The password i entered was apparently wrong and had been changed. The email i used for that one was a “burner” email. There is no inbox or website for it. So i can possibly NEVER get that account back. Then my THIRD account got hit with the same problem again. So i try my luck with the first instagram account i mentioned and check back with the reset link in my crappy email provider, and it still doesnt work (im on my iphone btw) . As im clicking, the page is enlarging and minimizing and i accidently click for the email to be removed from that instagram account. WHAT??!! So now I cant even request for a reset! I tried and it said it had sent a reset email/link to an email address i did NOT recognize! That account is now completely out of my hands.
Is Instagram resetting all accounts back to zero?
There saying now that not only are they taking away followers , but they are going to reset every account back to zero to get rid of spam accounts. Is this fake ??

My instagram sends the reset email to the wrong account?
I used the app "Instlike" which turned out to be a scam. Recently I have been trying to get ahold of my account and it just said "To secure your account, Instagram has reset your password. Please tap Forgot Password and follow the instructions to access your account". I did it each time. Now I know that the stupid app I got was a scam. Of course I deleted it and went to go change my password but when I went to get the reset email it sent me an email for the wrong account-- a really old one that I forgot about because it had 0 followers lol. I really don't want to lose this account though; I have about 500 followers. I'll keep trying but I'm about to cry omg if you have any suggestions please

You can’t! When you reset your Instagram password it will send a mail to the email you signed up with. Then you have to confirm that it was you who needed the password reset. Once you do that you can change your password but can’t use any passwords you might have used before. You have to put a entire new password and if you put an old one it will send a message to you stating that ‘this password was already used, please put a new one’.
