It depends on what type of IP address you are using. There are two ways to configure an IP address, one is static.Vivek Dayal's answer to How do I assign an IP to a new device in the network? And the other one is dynamic, i.e. the one that is assigned to you automatically whenever you connect to the internet. Whenever a dynamic IP address is assigned, it is always assigned with a term called lease time. This lease time is responsible for your change of IP addresses. If we remove this term, then the ISP will start running out of IP addresses. Since IP addresses are costly so every ISP purchases an IP and uses private IPs of that network class to provide you connectivity. If the ISP provides you one IP permanently then he can only serve a limited number of people. But if he provides you that IP with a lease time he can take away your IP and assign that IP to someone else therefore recycling it.But what happens if you are connected to internet and your lease time expires? When lease time expires, the DHCP server again tries to communicate with your device, if your device is still connected and replies, your lease time is extended otherwise your IP is taken away and given to some other device.

I would suggest you to follow these methods and check if it helps.Method 1:It appears that disabling the option to turn off the wireless card alone to save power isn't sufficient. Disable the USB selective suspend option under power settings as well and check the issue.Selective suspend is a way of saving power. If a hardware device is left idling for long enough, the computer automatically reduces the power sent to that device which results in the device essentially ‘hibernating’.Follow these steps:a. Click on Windows key + X, choose Control Panel.b. Type Power Options.c. On your selected power plans, select ‘Change Plan Settings’d. Select Advanced Power Settingse. Expand USB settings and expand USB selective suspend setting’f. Disable Selective suspend.Method 2:If that does not help, I would suggest you to remove the current power plan and create it again.http://windows.microsoft.com/en-...Let me know if it helps. If the issue persists, please reply, I will be happy to help you.

This is the procedure I would use if I had this expereince.Reboot the computer and cross my fingersCheck my interent connection… perhaps reboot the router if a problem..OPen another browser and check funtionality , even if its IE to be sure its just an issue with ChromeAm I behind a firewall with some limitations on browsing at my workplace? Talk to the system admin.Clean the browser cache and browsing history, and look recent cookies for removalRun my antivirus/malware scanner to look for susupicious stuff.Open the system folder and look in the Programs folder , sort by date for recently installed software and remove all that I dont recognize or run some web searches that describe the function and or possible issuesFinally reinstall Chrome after removing the current install. Some where along this line I would expect to see something that would guide me to a resolution, if not I would post the question on an appropriate internet forum , as I would be quite certain that iwas NOT the only person who has had this issue.Good Luck
