My Internet Has Been Very Strange- More Details In Description- Help

How to disable Internet access restrictions?

For some strange reason, my Internet access has disabled at 7PM everyday, and I can't continue my researching, gaming, and etc. Access doesn't return until the morning. This has been causing slight setbacks at school and even in my social life. I figured that someone put up some kind of time restraints on my Internet usage through probably security settings. I'm not sure. I'm not a techie. Anyway, it'd be cool if someone could tell me a way to bypass this time restraint so I can get more work done and talk to my friends a little longer...and play some more games without sudden stoppage. >_>

If any further detail is needed, e-mail me and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

My roommate keeps bringing home strange men from the internet! Help.?

My roommate has been bringing home strange men off the internet for the past couple of weeks. How do I address this situation and basically tell her to stop?

For the past few weeks, my roommate and child hood friend has been bringing home complete strangers she meets on the internet. Some of the men are nice, while others are creepy. They come over and hang out, have sex, and sleep here. Sometimes the men she brings home STAY OVER A WEEK. We live in a very secluded area in the mountains, so I don't feel safe at all with these me here. However, my roommates seems comfortable and fine with all these strangers.

I know my roommate lives here and pays rent too. But this behavior is making me very uncomfortable. She has never met these men before, give them our address, and invite them over! They could be dangerous men (or harmless) and it really bothers me to have these strangers in the house all the time.. I don't feel safe with these strangers afoot.

Help! My internet connection is acting weird?

is cause all the wireless devices used up the DHCP table (this allows a number of devices to connect to a router and saves these settings till a router refresh) unplugging it and plugging it back in helps but if no change then look below for a solution

Definition of DHCP from wiki
(The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is a network configuration protocol for hosts on Internet Protocol (IP) networks. Computers that are connected to IP networks must be configured before they can communicate with other hosts. The most essential information needed is an IP address, and a default route and routing prefix. DHCP eliminates the manual task by a network administrator. It also provides a central database of devices that are connected to the network and eliminates duplicate resource assignments.)

what you can do if you have access to it
is go into your routers settings 192.168.1.1 and put in the log in and pw

right in the main page it should show something like this

DHCP # with a fill in box change the number there to a number you feel that would allow you and the other computers to connect

once changed refresh everything and it should all go back to normal

when unplugging the router unplug the cable or dsl modem to refresh the ISP connection

*how to refresh a modem and router*

unplug the modem first wait 30 secs then plug it back in
after the modem is stable plug the router in

if you have a B wireless router your likely not able to go far from the router
if you have a G router try not to go more then 50ft from the router
if you have an N router well DHCP is your solution

wish you luck and hope it works out

What is the most interesting website that you found on the internet?

Akinator. (Available on Pc as a website and on Smartphone as an app)It is the most interesting, weird, amazing, unbelievable website which I have ever found on the internet. But wait, have you heard about it earlier?I know most of you are hearing it for the first time, so let me introduce it little bit:Akinator is an AI based website, which tries to guess the character you have chosen at random by asking you several questions, for which you will have 5 options as an answer:Yes.No.Don't know.Probably.Probably not.Believe me, it's 99.9% accurate!Let me elaborate it with an example:(It's completely random)I chose “Sunder pichai, CEO of Google” in my mind.I opened the site,The first page will be about your age. You can type anything between 1 to 100.Then it will ask you directly the first question, which is most of the time “Is your character linked with cinema?”(Ignore those bullshit ads)With the help of it's database, it will try to ask you questions about different categories, so that it can reach to your character's field easily,(By answering “probably” or “probably not” ,you can confuse it too.)Sometimes the questions are very weird, like this one: “Is your character a real person?”With answering about 3–4 more questions, it gets closer and closer and closer..(I really don't know how, with that ease)Just answered 2 more questions, and here it is,Ta daa..It's really very hard to digest, isn't it.This website is made only for fun and indeed it's very addictive. It's AI is very powerful, very much like Google Assistant. So, try not to visit it in your working hours it will suck your important time.Try it on your friends to amaze them!Cheers.Edit1: I know many of you had beaten it but you know what, this will make it's AI stronger and stronger!Yes, you are living in 21st century!

Internet connection acting weird lately.?

I have the default cisco modem and a netgear N600 router. lately my internet has been acting up. When I test the connection the upload speeds are really low.

I know that's the norm, but this is to really unusual levels. On a normal day it ranges from 3-5 mbps, but lately it's been coming up at 30-60 kbps.

I've done some things to try to help but nothing seems to help (doesn't help I don't know much about the subject so did a lot of vague things). I've done the unplug/replug, I've rebooted my router, I've flushed my DNS, and even installed a firmware update I didn't realize I needed for the router. It still does this.

My internet explorer won't play any music?

First of all check your speaker connections and make sure everything is tight and well plugged in. when you are confident with that, try to play some music using windows media player. If it works the problem is the site not your speakers. if it doesn't work, look @ the icons on the bottom right corner of your scree. You should have a speaker icon there. Click it and make sure the volume is turned up and/or it isn't on mute.
