My Ipod Touch 4g Has A Broken Charging Port. How Can I Fix It

How can I fix my iPod Touch 4th Generation when it's not charging?

First you have to rule out the possibilities. Try a different cable and charger. Usually the cable is broken.Carefully clean the connector of the iPod wit a toothstick, it is a dust-collector.When all this doesn’t work, very likely the battery is gone. The 4G iPod has been around for a while and these batteries don’t live forever. That would be bad news, because the iPod is not valuable enough to justify professional repair. And I can’t recommend to do that on your own. I have tried that (and succeeded), but boy this was no fun!

How to clean an Ipod charging port?

The best way to fix/clean any dirty port like an iPod is to:
1 - Clean out big debris with a toothpick
2 - Put rubbing alcohol on a q-tip which has been slimmed to fit into the area (best to do this when dry)
3 - Pat the q-tip with a kleenex or paper towel/toilet paper until barely 'damp'
4 - Repeat steps 1-3 until you can see all of the connection metal for the charger

I will disclaim right now this will not always fix the issue, but it definitely helps. Also, going forward... you can buy the 'plugs' for the charger port from either apple or online to prevent things like this from happening. Take care,

Kindle Fire Has Trouble Charging?

This is the oldish Kindle Fire, not HD. Whenever I plug it in the charger, it won't charge unless I spend over 5 minutes trying to get it in the right position so it will charge. It has all my books on it, so it's hard to take care of that need when my only access is cut off. How can I fix this?

How do you fix an iPhone that won't charge?

Hi ,My Answer would be looking little non technical at first view but its as per my own experience in my service center .So many time in iPhone after using more than 1 yr the Charging Connector Slot is full of Dust and Small Particles inside which do not allow the charging cable to get connected and the phone doesn’t get charged .You can Use a Toothbrush and try to clean it . Other Best tool would be a needle which will pull the bunch of dust out of the charging connector . Which will mostly solve your problem .2. Now after this if its still not charging then … Sorry but its a problem of the Charging Connector Flex Cable in 80% cases . Here I am not doing any specific discussion about the Lightening cable because its very common sense that first to be checked is obveously charging cable and charging dock . Soo You can approach any good service center for the replacement of the Charging Flex which won’t cost you much (In India app 1200 Rs for iPhone 5s ) …3. Even after this the problem is not solved then it would be a Charging IC Problem which will be really tough job for you to find the perfect technician .In these 2nd and 3rd case the Authorised Service center Apple care would suggest the Unit Replacement only but its very costly …Good Luck !!!

I have a piece of rice stuck in my iphone 5 charger port help?

How do I get it out. I don't want to break something in there. The reason there is rice is because I dropped my phone in the tiniest bit of water and it messed up the speaker. They sounded terrible. But thankfully in some amazing way the rice fixed it and not it sound perfect. But I can't charge my phone bc of the rice, the charger won't even go in.

What can I do about an iPod that won't hold charge?

If it's an iPod Touch, you have a few options;Find a use for it somewhere where it can be permanently plugged inTake it into the Apple Store and have them replace the battery (probably your best bet if it's still under warrantyTake it to another repair store, this will probably be cheaper than Apple if your warranty has expiredIf you're feeling adventurous, you could attempt to replace the battery yourself. But only use this as a last resort! First, look up step by step instructions to follow and read them before attempting anything and buy a cheap battery and tool set on eBay (I bought an iPhone 4S battery with tools for AU$5). I bought such a kit for my 4S and replaced the battery myself (it was surprisingly easy) and it works fine! Because my battery was so cheap it doesn't last the whole day, but it works. Remember that as soon as you open the iPod the warranty is voided.Hope this helps, thanks for the A2A!

IPhone 5 Dynex charger isn't working?

I went to Best Buy to buy a new iPhone 5 charger because the one from the Apple store of course broke. Now it works great but if I move it the slightest bit while it's charging it stops charging and says "This Accessory May Not Be Supported" why is it saying this? Is there something to be fixed? It's brand new. And if it does charge without being disturbed it charges really slowly..

Why does my iPad say 'not charging' even when it is plugged in?

The problem: The iPad says it’s "Not Charging", and two things could happen:it is not chargingit's actually charging, but really slowly. The issue here is that iPad is receiving enough power from the charger to operate, but it's not enough to charge the battery. The iPad requires certain power level to charge normally. For example an iPad Mini usually uses about 1.7W-2.2W while you're using it. If the charger only passes this amount or less, then you’ll get the “not charging” message. To solve the problem, you have to check 3 things:chargercableUSB port/ outletThe problem is caused by one of these 3 elements.Your USB port could be old (not high-power), the cable can be damaged, or the charger could be a cheap, non-MFi-certified charger, or maybe an iPhone charger. If you use the regular iPad charger with the original cable + power outlet, you shouldn’t see this message. Also, in some cases on USB port of the computer will charge the iPad, and the other won’t.But if you turn off the iPad it will charge faster as it will not use energy while you are charging it.
