That is a gofer. You take files where needed, transport test tubes to lab. No you don't run but you do spend all day on your feet.
Does a Food service Job at a Hospital Drug Test?
I want to get a job at a hospital that either works in the kitchen or delivers trays to rooms. The pay is really good, but i feel that since it is a hospital that they probably drug test all their employees. Does anyone know if hospital drug test all their employees?
As a nurse, what do you wish hospital patients (and their families) understood?
I wish patients had more medical knowledge and then they would be more understanding when we can’t give them an immediate answer. I wish they knew how long it takes for some tests to be run and a result to come back. I wish the patients would understand that I can’t give there medicines on the same time schedule as they do it at home. I wish patients understood they aren’t my only patient and that some times I am on an emergency and I can’t come to them right away. I wish patients understood that I must prioritize my time and give those who are the sickest more of my time. I wish the public knew that I am not resting or sleeping at night while they sleep. This is when we do much of the paperwork or computer work now. This is the time when we get things ready for the next shift. I don’t need your newspaper or magazines to keep me awake. I am busy all night. I wish patients understood that I am not going to wake them up to give them their sleeping pill! Why give them the pill if they are doing fine without a sleeping pill and I am not going to give a sleeping pill past 2AM. I wish patients understood why they aren’t allowed to eat eight hours before surgery or when they have pancreatitis or they will be going for a GI procedure. I am sorry you are hungry, but we will feed you as soon as possible or as soon as your labs are normal. I am glad I chose to work at night. I don’t have as many issues with patients as the day nurse.
How do I quit my job via a text message?
My boss has been cutting my hours drastically and doesn't have the best people skills at all. I'm lucky if I get even 1 day of work a week, and to top it off she has cut me off the schedule and only calls or texts me when she wants me to come in. Last week she gave me the whole week off ASSUMING i needed the time to myself since my cousin is in the hospital with brain cancer. She recently texted me saying "I know your probably angry with the lack of hours as of recent. If there was anything I could do I would. Right now I have to follow or DM's direction which is cutting anyones hours that are still training or need assistance. I am really sorry." Funny thing is she just recently told me I am fully trained... I am feed up with the way she treats me, as well as my fellow coworkers and want to quit. But how do I word it in a text message?
Is it easier to get hired on the night shift?
Being available and willing to work graveyard (10pm-6am) is a big plus. Very few people are willing to do this work, so someone applying to do it voluntarily is kind of rare. Even if the store you apply to is not hiring for graveyard right now, your application will be noted for the next time there is an opening. Most graveyard crews are pretty small (3-5 people total out of staff of 30). If no one quits or gets fired, it may be a long wait. If you have open availability, I would put that down but express interest in late-night work. Even if you initially start on another shift, you could eventually end up on graveyard/get called in when needed. SIDE NOTE: Security can be an issue working late night. Things are definitely very different than daytime. However, the company has several procedures and policies in place for the protection if its employees. So long as the policies are followed, you should be very safe. It would take a very determined person to bring you harm.

Nice question indeedNowadays Government is putting lots of efforts in creating Jobs as there is a tremendous pressure on them.Now , If you see in market very carefully you’ll come to know that there is an decline in Plumber which we use to see in few years ago in Heavy number nowadays we have to make more efforts to find them,The number of Blacksmiths is reducing,The number of carpenters are reducing, the number of cobbler is reducing. This is happening becoz of they are now doing their labor work in Informal Sectors as a laborers. So Govt. can revive these traditional works in order to make them strong business in India and not as an Small Kind of work where only two or three persons have engaged.Nowadays Agricultural research is going on and In india to meet the requirement of Food demand by considering OVER BURDEN OF POPULATION there will be a requirement to have a huge demand of food products in future to come So it becomes very imperative to Use Food storage facilities very efficiently by giving value addition to them. So Entrepreneurship in Making Food processing industries and Cold storage can be a good step in making more Jobs.Promotion of MSME sector can be a good idea to create more employment.In villages of India now the time has come to revive traditional manufacturing of indigenous products which is of Indian Cultural Originality like reviving Crafts tradition like Saris, things made up from wood which can create employment in rural population.And in Urban area there are chances re revamp underdeveloped areas like textile industries,Leather related industries, Garments etc to create more employment for laborers.As entrepreneurship is gaining momentum in Only Metro Cities it should be also given momentum in Other states where adequate infrastructure can be created so that more employment can be generated.So these are few initiatives through which employment can be created.
How do I quit my job at Burger King?
I've been working 5 days at Burger King. I am 16 and have a busy schedule with school. The whole staff is pretty trashy and the managers are rude and irresponsible. My name isn't on the schedule and I'm expected to come in last minute. Point is I really don't like it and I should not be treated the way I'm being treated. Please help.
