My Kitten Was Born On April 20th And She Is Infested With Fleas.

HELP?!!? HOW TO GET RID OF FLEAS?

OK, so our house has a terrrible flea attack. my poor cat is full of fleas, i have bathed her with kitty shampoo and most of the fleas die but nomatter how hard i try there is always one or two alive ones left that i cant get out that keep causing her pain. we went out today and bought Hartz (only to find out it has killed many cats) thankfully i did not use that. i cannot afford anything expensive but i guess i will just have to suck it up and go but some frontline for my cat. here are a few questions:
1) My cat is POSSIBLY and PROBABLY pregnant. is this safe to use on her? please don't say "ask a vet", i will do that too but need advice asap
2) Does using frontline on my cat rid my HOUSE of fleas? the fleas have been biting my litle brother too and we cant sleep at night feeling those little things crawl up our backs and legs. its nasty no matter how many times we shower, vaccuum, whatever, they don't go away.

please keep in mind I can't afford much. it has to be a good investment that will rid my CAT and MY HOUSE from fleas. BTW: My house is really big, and i am afraid the fleas have gotten every room in the house at this point :/

What are some mind-blowing facts about Japan?

A lot of things have already been said! But I will share a few more based on my personal experiences & visits to a few Japanese corporates!Gifting is a religion there. The companies overburdened with souvenirs. a) Tokyo Stock Exchangeb) CITIZEN Factory: A famous Japanese company for Digital equipments. They welcomed with Cap, good luck charms, pen etc.c) TCS Japan: Not purely Japanese but the Japanese branch of an indian company2. Heavy reliance on Seafood / Non-Vegetarian: Being an Indian vegetarian, it can be very difficult to survive in Japan without prior preparations. A funny incident happened when one of my friends asked for vegetarian options in a hotel to which the waiter replied if “Ohh, you are pure veg! So only egg or fish will do”!It’s just a huge tuna fish-head. Nothing worth seeing :P3. Strong focus on detailing In India, we don’t really know what detailing mean. Apart from warm-seater toilets and technologically advanced traffic system, even their menus are detailed for various spice levels.4. Tokyo Stock Xchange: They must be the only stock exchange who use opposite signs. The stocks which are improving are shown in red while the falling stocks are shown in green. They have interesting reasoning for that! Want to take a guess? Comment section, please!5. Indian Food: A little bit of patriotism is necessary, right! For a risk-averse person like me who doesn’t take risk when it comes to food, I searched for Indian restaurants. I finally stumbled upon a scene in a Tokyo Hotel which was mind-blowing! India-Pakistan rivalry is well-known but who knew the two flags can be seen together on the streets of Tokyo. This restaurant was run by Shaikh Sahab, a Pakistani who got so emotional to know that I am an Indian. He offered a delicious free tandoori chicken! What more can you expect? Much love, sir! <36. Cars: The most exquisite models of cars in any country. McLaren, Porsche, Ferrari etc. you name it!It was an extremely interesting country for me to explore! I wish you all the luck for the Tokyo Olympics 2020.Last but not the least, it would be a shame to not show the beauty of Tokyo and what their cleanliness is all about.I will keep adding !Thanks for reading :) . Have a nice day!

What should you do if a stray cat keeps hanging around your house?

Observe his behavior. Not all stray cats are feral. Does the cat appear in need of rescuing, that is not feral but abandoned or lost? How involved do you want to get? How close is the cat ‘hanging’? Does the cat appear healthy and well fed (probably not abandoned?) If so post a picture on a neighborhood website, he may be a beloved pet. If not, is the cat scrawny, flea infested? If the cat is friendly and seems in need of rescue, there is probably a vet nearby who could check to see if the cat has an identifying microchip (lost) and is in good health and can update the cats rabies shot. Tell the vet the cat may be feral before you let him loose. The vet may also (as my vet did) be able to hold the cat for adoption. Be a mensch.

What to do when your cats in heat?

Calm your cat. The simplest way to calm a cat in heat is to devote extra physical attention to her. Petting, brushing and cuddling your cat will help satisfy her craving for sensory stimulation.

Help keep the cat busy. Cats in heat appear to have extra energy that can be assuaged with playful distractions. Provide your cat with new toys, preferably ones that will inspire her to jump toward or run after them.

Seek assistance from a veterinarian. Your cat's veterinarian can inject her with hormones or other medication that will prevent her from having a cycle. This choice may be preferable for owners of pedigreed breeders or those who want to stop the cycles temporarily.

To shorten the heat cycle, consider mating the cat. Unsuccessful mating will result in a 7- to 10-day cycle with another cycle recurring every 2 to 3 weeks. Successful mating will shorten the cycle to 4 days and prevent future cycles during the gestation period. Once the litter is born, another estrus cycle can occur within 1 to 6 weeks.

To permanently stop the heat cycle, spay your cat. In addition to preventing heat cycles, spaying can help protect cats against uterine infections and cancers, including breast cancer.

Do not spay a cat that is younger than 6 months or is currently in heat.
