My Laptop Audio Wont Work

My laptop fell on the floor and the audio jack doesn't work?

This morning I was plugging in my computer and the charger snagged and caused my computer to fall on the floor. I guess it dropped on my earbuds because now the little metal part is pushed in and I can't get it back to normal.

Is there anything I can do besides hire someone to fix it?

Why doesn't the volume work on my laptop?

I have a Dell Inspiron E1705 and mine does the same exact thing. Like it makes system sounds. And when I say that I mean if I'm typeing something in Yahoo Messanger and I hold backspace down and when it is all gone it will start beeping but no sound works any other time. If you find out what is wrong or how to fix it could you please email me and let me know.

Why is the sound not working on my HP laptop?

There might be two reasons for that and they are:Your Audio Drive needs update. To update your audio Driver, go to Desktop, search for “My PC, This PC or My Computer”. Then, right click on it and select “Manage”. Then choose “Device Manager”>“Audio inputs and outpts”Click on it and update the driver. For this, you should have an internet connection.2. 2nd Possible Reason is that, you need to troubleshoot the Audio Settings on your HP laptop. You can check what is happening in it. For this, on the bottom right corner, you can see an audio speaker. Right click on it and do “Troubleshoot”.If there is no any problem with the audio driver, then, you need to change the new Speakers on your HP Laptop.

My headphone jack isn't working on my laptop?

Same happened to me. It's not the headphones, I think the jack is messed up. Around the headphone jack is supposed to be like a metal ring or something and mine fell off, so it just doesn't work and the computer doesn't detect anything. Check the jack and compare it to the microphone jack. Also, bring it in to a computer shop and they can probably fix it up.
If you have anything on your computer (like illegal music downloads) make sure to delete them & store them in a flash drive or at least make sure there is a password on your laptop, if the computer shop decides to take the computer overnight. Some official places might actually report you if you have anything bad, like porn. It happened to my friend. >.>

Hope I helped! (:
