My Laptop Isnt Playing Sims 3 Aswell As It Should Be

Good Laptop for Playing the Sims 3?

So, I'm currently in the market for a new laptop after two miserable years of dealing with a temperamental Macbook. Basically, I want something that I can install Office 2010 on, play the Sims 3 + expansion packs, and maybe play some Nancy Drew games on. I also want my new laptop to be durable and last me awhile since I'm going into teaching within the next 2 or 3 years and will need a good computer. After months of searching, I think I found what I want:

HP Pavilion dm4x
Operating system: Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit with Service Pack 1
Processor: 2nd generation Intel(R) Dual Core(TM) i7-2620M (2.7GHz, 4MB L3 Cache) with Turbo Boost up to 3.4 GHz
Graphics Card: 1GB DDR3 Radeon(TM) HD 6470M Graphics [HDMI, VGA]
Memory: 8GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
Hard Drive: 750GB 5400RPM Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
Primary Battery: 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Battery (standard)
Display: 14.0" diagonal High-Definition HP BrightView LED Display (1366 x 768)
Primary Optical Drive: SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support

So, what do you think? Will I be able to play the Sims 3 smoothly and at a high performance level? The only thing I was a little unsure of was the graphics card...

Wanting to buy a laptop for sims 3...HELP!?

Your biggest concern is to get a graphics card that will work!

Sims 3 Broke my laptop?

first off.........

n well, the sims 3 isn't so heavy so its good that your laptop crashed now coz it would've later on.

So its ok. If this laptop is good then yes, play your game.

Will sims 3 crash my laptop?

In most cases, no. unless you arent running at least the minimum required hardware specifications. Then, yes it can actually cause windows to do funny things. most of the time though, if you dont meet or exceed EA game requirements, your game itself will crash or not load followed by some sort of directx warning.

A bit on pirated EA Games...

If you have a illegitimate code, and you ever access the internet with that game, it enters a funny mode where you can play part or the game and then suddenly without warning, completely lose the game. like, GAME OVER. happened to me while messing with lord of the rings: battle for middle earth. difference is that i actually own a retail copy but was messing with their cd code editor that is comes with... haha.

Will an ASUS 17.3" laptop with 8GB memory allow me to play The Sims 3?

Use Google for questions like this.I searched on: hardware requirements sims 3Here is the first results page. When looking for such sort of detailed information, Google will, almost always, give you information more quickly than Quora. On Quora, you have to wait for someone to read your question and then for someone to answer it.Google will find the information right a way, provided you use appropriate search terms.

When i play sims 3 on my laptop, it always overheats :(?

1. Get a cooling fan for your laptop.
2. Set all graphic settings into low.
3. Don't 'high performance' your laptop's battery.
4. If you like to play it in home, charge your laptop and pull out the battery.
5. Upgrade your RAM.
6. Close other applications except for your game.
7. Minimize USB-Ports connections.
8. Give your laptop a break.
9. Set your NVIDIA or ATI graphic cards to prioritize performance than graphic.
10. Don't play that game.

Whenever i play sims on my laptop fan gets really loud?

Sometimes yes, and sometimes no.
Whenever you have a game disk, like the sims 3, the computer is working harder to read the disk, so it generates more heat and the fan is just trying to cool it down.

If you haven't checked the fan in a while, I would clean it out, either with an air-can or with professional cleaning help to make sure that there isn't any dust blocking it making it overheat.

I have an HP Pavilion touch smart laptop. Can I run The Sims 3/4 smoothly or will I need to upgrade something?

Sims 4PC MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: REQUIRED: Internet connection required for product activation.OS: Windows XP (SP3), Windows Vista (SP2), Windows 7 (SP1), Windows 8, or Windows 8.1PROCESSOR: 1.8 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, AMD Athlon 64 Dual-Core 4000+ or equivalent (For computers using built-in graphics chipsets, the game requires 2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2.0 GHz AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-62 or equivalent)MEMORY: At least 2 GB RAMHARD DRIVE: At least 9 GB of free space with at least 1 GB additional space for custom content and saved gamesDVD-ROM: DVD ROM drive required for installation onlyVIDEO CARD: 128 MB of Video RAM and support for Pixel Shader 3.0. Can you play Sims 3 on Safe Mode?

My laptop currently isn't working right, so I'm on Safe Mode with Networking. My sister wants to know if she can use my laptop to play her Sims game. I told her I'm not sure if the game will run, or if it will run properly. I don't mind if she uses it to play her game, I just want to know if you're able to actually play it? Thank you.
