My Laptops Speakers And Head Phones Randomly Stopped Working

My laptop speakers have stopped working. What should I do?

If you don't want to take the laptop to a repair shop and pay to get it fixed, and it is off warranty... have you tried headphones?  If they work, you can always use external speakers.  They make portable ones that are amplified, requiring to be connected to a USB and the headphone jack.Otherwise, if the entire sound component is damaged on the motherboard (no sound from the speakers or the headphone jack), you can purchase a USB sound card for less than $10 Amazon.com: Syba SD-CM-UAUD USB Stereo Audio Adapter, C-Media Chipset, RoHS: Computers & Accessories and connect external speakers to that. All this assumes you have first performed a factory recovery to rule out software as a possibility... that, or booted to a Live CD of an OS like Main Page - Linux Mint to see if the speakers work there.  In which case, if you did install Linux on a flash drive, with something like YUMI - Multiboot USB Creator, and then booted to Linux and found that your speakers worked just fine (by booting, connecting to your router, and going to YouTube or something)... then you could fix your sound problem by performing the factory recovery.

Laptop speakers won't work but headphones do?

My computer's sounds were working just fine. I put it to sleep, as usual, but when I went to use it again later the built-it speakers would not work with any computer sounds.

I tried plugging and unplugging headphones (which i can hear the sound through fine), restarting the computer, checking to make sure the right audio device is defaulted. it still won't produce sound through the speakers.

Help?

Why does phone's speaker suddenly stops working and the sound comes from the headset plug?

I think its because the default setting is from headset http://plug.So we’ve to change it to speaker.

How could I get my speakers and headphones to work at the same time?

If you had a desktop it would be easy, but with a laptop there is only one thing. You can get a USB sound card. It plugs into a USB port and has a small headphone jack. They go for around $20-30. The only thing is how you set it up. You will have to do some research to find one that you can specify what program is using it so the same thing doesn't come out of both.

Laptop speakers not working?

My laptop speakers just stopped working over night and I was using them fine yesterday without any problems. Now they make no noise. I was check my computers sound settings thing and it thinks when im playing music they are still making noise and working fine. My earphones stopped working in my Lenovo laptop. What settings do I change?

There are many reasons why the earphones might have stopped working and you will need to check all those problems.First check if there is a problem with your earphone itself by connecting any other earphone or audio output device. If that is working fine then it means there is some problem with your lenovo laptop itself. Now if the problem is with your laptop the it could be either a software problem such as a device driver failure or a hardware problem such as the port itself has been damaged. For software issues you can find out your problem by simply troubleshooting. For windows 10 open settings menu, go to system, sound and then troubleshoot the speaker system. If there are any problems it would be detected and the system will either solve it or ask you to take some necessary steps. However, if this still does not resolve your issue then the problem is probably with the audio port in you laptop and you will need to take it to your nearest Lenovo service center for thorough analysis.

I keep hearing voices through my laptop speakers and headphones whne plugged in.. and its not the radio?

Every now and then I hear voices and music through my laptop speakers... if i plug in headphones i still hear them... Earlier I heard a Bruno commercial.. I keep winning Walmart gift cards, and the weirdest one sounded like a horny phone call... I am weirded out and confused.. I didn't change anything, but this just started randomly occuring..

I want to know why this is happening, but if your are going to say demons, or ghosts, or I have something running in the background then please don't.

What do I do when my laptop's internal speaker suddenly stopped, but not the headphone sounds?

Well, you could send your laptop in for repair, but it’s probably gonna be around a $300 repair. if you really want to use speakers, then buy something like a Beats pill to plug into the heaphone jack. If you mostly use headphones, though, you didn’t lose much.I personally don’t use my laptop speakers all that much, so if they stopped working, I’d just dust my shoulders off and keep on moving.

Laptop headphone jack not working?

the laptop speakers always do the audio regardless of whether headphones are plugged in or not. I went to control panel, then hardware and sound, then under the playback tab I have both the speakers and headphones things enabled and set to default device. I can't be missing a driver since this just started happening. What is it then?
