My Left Thigh Hurts Badly

My left upper thigh really hurts?!?

Even though you are not sporty, you may have pulled a muscle. If it is a pulled muscle, you have to give the muscle a rest. Continuing to engage in the same activities which caused the strain may cause further injury or delay healing. If a pulled thigh muscle is severe, it may be suggested you stay off your feet as much as possible. When sitting keep your leg elevated, which can reduce swelling.

Use ice. When a thigh muscle is pulled, swelling may occur. Applying ice to the thigh for 15 minutes a few times a day may reduce the swelling and the pain. Wrap an ice pack in a clean towel and place it on the part of the thigh muscle which is pulled. Avoid putting ice directly on the skin which can cause injury. Ice is usually most effective if used for the first day or two after the injury.

Wrap the thigh muscle in a compression bandage. This helps reduce swelling, which can contribute to discomfort. Although the bandage needs to be tight enough to help reduce swelling, making it too tight can cut off circulation. If you feel numbness or tingling in the thigh muscle, loosen the bandage.

Take over-the-counter pain medication. The pain involved in most pulled thigh muscles can usually be reduced with over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications, such as ibuprofen.

Undergo physical therapy. Most pulled thigh muscles will heal within a few weeks and will not require further treatment. However, if you have severe muscle pulls or if the muscle is repeatedly pulled, your doctor may suggest physical therapy after the majority of the pain is gone. A therapist may use ice, heat or water therapy to speed up healing. A therapist may also teach strengthening and stretching exercises to improve the range of motion and prevent future pulls

Why do my thighs hurt so bad from squatting?

When you squat, especially with added resistance, you are increasing the rate at which muscle is broken down and lactic acid is released to power the work being done by the movement. So that means pain in the form of soreness, now if the soreness does not decrease after two days, then you may have another issue going on.Considering you wrote thighs and not knees or hips, then you are most likely fine. You just need to stretch your quadriceps and hamstrings, eat well, sleep well, and do some light biking or walking or jogging for 20–60 minutes to facilitate the lymphatic systems natural clearance of waste. (Lactic acid mostly in this case.)Being sore is a sign of the muscle building process which is good in many cases.Buildimg muscle will increase metabolism, “tone” that area, and increase strength levels. To become really “jacked” requires a strong dedication for most people so if you have a worry about becoming too big, just understand most people make that a priority and focus much effort on it, it usually does not come easy.

Am I doing my squats right if my thighs hurt?

Depends on what you mean by “hurt”If you’re feeling it in your thighs it’s just an indication that you’re working your thighs. If you’re sore, it means that you’ve got some good eccentric contractions going on.You could be primarily hitting your thighs and still have bad form. This graphic doesn’t show it with weight, but the concept is similar. The largest difference is that the weight should move in a straight line vertically in line with the center of your foot. The weight should not be on your heels, rather your ENTIRE foot should be pushing.Note that the knees are in front of the toes. This isn’t something you should worry about…it’s perfectly alright for your knees to go in front of the toes. The important thing is to keep your knees stable — in line with the direction of your foot and hip — so that you are pushing up and down instead of in or out.Bottom line, it’s impossible to say based on what hurts if you’re doing a squat right. It’s a complex motion. If you need help, post a video or ask someone at your gym for tips…or just anyone you can find. It’s really hard to tell even looking in the mirror if you’re doing it right.

I am getting my first tattoo how bad will it hurt on my thigh?

Differs from person to person. I personally did not enjoy my thighs being tattooed, but in reality, I did not enjoy any of my tattoos. Tattoos hurt. That’s part of the process. As long as you understand that going in, it is a mind over matter thing. If you don’t mind, it don’t matter. Stay relaxed, remember to breath, don’t forget to eat before you get tattooed, you should be fine.

Why does my left leg hurts after I drive a car for 1 hour?

This is because your muscles are slightly weak and not familiar with this kind of workout much. When subjected to similar physical activity over high frequency they induce pain (due to local production of lactic acid). No need to worry, there is nothing wring with your legs!!You are a new driver, also tall drivers face this problem more. It happens generally with cars with heavy clutch. As you get habitual in driving, you won't feel any pain in your muscles. I know it is quite painful and your legs sore. There is one thing you can surely do. Cars have a space to the left of clutch. It has a dead pedal, if your car doesn't has you can buy them and get one fitted. You make a habit of resting your leg on that. As you have you leg streched, you pain shall soothe easily.(Source: Google Images)After a couple of weeks you won't feel any pain, till then exercise your legs!!!!

I hurt my leg doing splits. What do I do?

Oh dear hun, I have done this before on both my legs. You have pulled a muscle. I was sore for months and months i couldn't dance properly couldn't do the splits or anything. What you need to do is rest it for a while until it starts feeling abit better then you need to war up really well (No grand battments) just do abit of jogging on the spot to get really warm, try for about 5 minutes. and then slowly stretch it out (Don't go to far down just till it hurts abit) You need to do this everyday and eventually it will stretch out. I know how painful it is :( And when your better remember to do a massive warm up before doing this kind of stuff. Now i can do all splits :) And the for the pop, I don't think it has anything to do with the injury, it just happens sometimes :) Hope I helped.

Pain of thigh tattoo vs. ankle tattoo?

I have one tattoo, it is a quote on my inner ankle. It hurt SO MUCH, but it was quick--about 15 minutes. The tattoo I want on my thigh, is big, about 5 full-colored flowers and maybe text. Obviously this will take a while. Compared to my ankle tattoo, how would you rate pain?

Why would a doctor order x-rays for both knees, both thighs, left hip and lower back when only my left knee and thigh hurt very bad?

The short answer is that pain can often be referred pain, meaning that the site of the pain is not always where the pathology is.In my case, I have advanced osteoarthritis in both hips, and yet I feel the worst pain in my knees, and less in the other places. My surgeon tells me that about 10% of people with hip osteoarthritis get most of their pain in their knees. I also get shooting pains down my legs, which means that the sciatic nerve is involved. Pain from nerves can originate from anywhere along the path of the nerve.Unfortunately because of the confusion that can be caused by pain manifesting itself somewhere other than the source, there was a delay in x raying my hips at first. When they were finally x rayed, it showed an advanced rapid onset osteoarthritis, which means I will have to have a double hip replacement as soon as possible (in two separate operations). I even had to keep pushing to get this diagnosis, but I know my body. I knew something was badly wrong before they did.If it is you having all those x rays, just be grateful for having a conscientious doctor who wants to cover all the possibilities. I wish my doctors had been as thorough as yours.
