My Lower Gum Is Smaller I Have Big Problems Whit That I

Is my tongue piercing giving me a gum problem ?

Yes there is a very high percentage of gum diseases among tongue pierced ppl, you can see the pictures yourself online, gum disease can lead to teeth loss, not kidding

Top 4 Reasons to Have Your Tongue Pierced:

1. It's Cool.
2. Parents hate it.
3. Everybody's doing it.
4. Having a Teenage Brain

Top 7 Reasons Not To:
1. Chipped or Broken Front Teeth: The majority of patients we see with tongue barbells wind up with chips, cracks or fractures in their front teeth.
2. Gum problems : inflammation, ulcer, gum recession cuts..etc
3. Infection and, just possibly, death : The mouth is moist and full of bacteria, and the tongue has major blood vessels ideal for spreading infection to the brain and elsewhere. This can disfigure or kill you.

You decide the price of fashion. The best advice we can give you: keep it outside the mouth.

Do we recommend safe practices and a qualified operator? Of course. (We also recommend light cigarettes and cutting down for those who smoke, and helmets and mouthguards for those who choose extreme sports. No sense making things more risky than they already are. )

Do we recommend oral piercing? Obviously not. The risks are a bit high for a medically unnecessary procedure.

Is there a problem running less load to a large generator like 165 kva generator running 15 kva home load?

Yes and there are several ways to look at this.Start with the diesel engine itself. Diesel engines don’t do well without a load. They don’t get hot and as a result the exhaust is full of soot. The soot is a symptom of a bigger problem (the ecological impact aside) in that the poor combustion—in layman’s terms—gums up the engine. It will require an overhaul sooner rather than later. Now talk fuel efficiency. The big diesel engine will probably use more fuel just to idle than a 30kW generator at half load. Why waste all that fuel? At half load, depending on the generator and engine, this 165KVA generator will “probably” use 100-140 gallons of fuel per day at the load you describe. Meanwhile, a 30kW generator will use about 40 gallons of fuel in 24 hours operating at half load and a 20kW around 25 gallons.Operating under these conditions during an emergency at 10% rated load won’t cause long term damage if we are only talking about a day or two. I’m not an expert on diesel engines. My opinion, as expressed by others, is that this is a bad idea for a number of reasons.Bottom lineAssuming the generator set has the appropriate current options, short term emergency use is probably fine, although very expensive. I would recommend against it except for short-term emergency power. It would not take long before it became more economical to purchase a new or used genset correctly sized for the job - running a 15kW residential load. Figure $3.00 a gallon for diesel. Savings of 100 - 120 gallons or more per day = $300 - $360 per day. Cost of a 20kW Diesel for Prime Power ~~ 15,000 new, less used. You’ve justified the cost of a new unit in 40 - 45 days.(In order to calculate fuel savings, I have assumed that 18kW is the max load and that most of the time, the home will use less than half that load.)It would cost less than half to purchase and install a new 22kW home standby generator that runs on natural gas or propane.

Small hard white lump under inside gum (pictures)?

Hello possible dentists/istas,

I've had a very small white lump on the inside lower left side of my gums. it is about as big as a dull pencil tip, is hard, white, and painless.

should I be concerned about this? It has been there a long time but never hurt, moved or gotten bigger. I've never had any gum or tooth problems.

thanks!

and a bunch of points to people who respond

Why is my left jaw bigger than the right jaw?

Here is an answer I wrote earlier, although you are an opposite side the answer holds trueThe left side of MOST peoples faces are less developed than the right. I know that is hard to believe but when you are trained at facial orthopaedics or orthodontics you start to notice these things. When you have measured and plotted as many faces as I have you will see it quite easily. If you look at people you will see two major asymmetries, the left eye is set back from the right eye usually and the left ramus is usually shorter than the right. The ratio is about 60L:40R. These numbers are from my teacher Bob Kernott and are based on his patient records. I doubt they were ever published. It may have something to do with handedness and eye dominance, I am not sure. Bob thought it might be so but it was not data that he recorded. If yours is noticeable or extreme then go find a dentist who can work to make you more symmetrical. However it may be easier to get used to it and stop obsessing about it.For sure don’t go around telling everybody. One of the prettiest girls I ever met when I was a young man was a young Scottish lass. But after she had pointed out to me her facial asymmetry, I always felt a bit sorry for the poor wee twisted thing.43 Views ·

Why can't I keep my mouth closed? (Literally)

A2ALets go to basic, lets make an assumption since the topic is not precised and cannot be diagnosed without looking/examining into the actual case.I assume that whenever you try to close your mouth your upper and lower lip will suddenly get loose thus makes your mouth open, you are having a hard time to meet your upper and lower lip in touched? It is also exposing your teeth? Your gums and teeth? Or there’s a open space in between your upper and lower front teeth?common causes of this condition.you might have a short upper and lower lip with big teeth. Small or narrow Maxillary and mandibular arches with big teeth (small mouth with big teeth)You might have a short upper lip with smiling gums (gummy smile)You might have a severe open bite due to thumb sucking or longer use of feeding bottleYou might have a protruding mandibular jaw overlapping the upper maxillary arch. (Mandibular prognathism)Or Protruding maxillary arch (maxillary prognathism)See your orthodontist for an evaluation of your case, you defenitely need an ortho treament if one or more of the mentioned above are present in your case.In any case, if you have an ideal size of teeth, no open bite, normal occlusion. Therefore, Having a short upper and lower lip might be the problem!Hope i made sense!

What causes people to have big teeth?

Genetics! But big teeth are often an illusion- compared to facial features and head size and profile. Teeth pass from father to daughter appearing large; and from mother to son appearing small. Once in 30 years of thousands of patients I had 1 patient with truly large teeth. It was literally almost twice the work. My instruments seemed miniature. So if not big teeth, then the illusion is something an orthodontist considers in the full facial appearance. If the mouth is not too far forward, and the upper and lower teeth both show, and not much gum showing, that is ideal. Then the tooth size works out okay. Larger often looks better for a smile.

I have a bump on my Frenulum labii inferioris (the thing that connects your lower lip to your gums)?

Don't worry about it. It is called frenal tag and is a kind of reactional hyperplasia. If you do not have a serious problem with it , you don't need to do anything, but if it bothers you because of the size you can see a dentist to remove it with a simple surgery.
