My Minecraft Server Is Laggy Help

How can i stop minecraft lan server lag?

WinMTR is basically just a connection analysing tool. I use to get horrible lag on one of the machines only at certain times(with no people on my server I was measuring from the warning cannot keep up which should not happen unless another server was doing something to cause this)

Once I moved servers I have not experienced lag at all, not once. So some people might be maxing out their server and it will cause a strain on the others, in my case I think it was the disk IO as RAM and CPU were always(except for restarts) below by 20-50%, and 40- 80% respectively.

The OP is having problems with both Bukkit and non-modded vanilla. So this is why it is a bit of a problem as with his specs he should not be seeing it.

Why am I lagging on my own minecraft server and how do I fix it?

Hey. So recently, I made a minecraft server for me and my one other friend to play on. I'm not very educated with this stuff, but I don't believe it is a hamachi server or a bukkit server. I did all the legit junk with the port forwarding then downloaded the server off minecraft.net. So, right out of the gate my minecraft server was laggy. But, as it warmed up, it would get better, almost to the point of no lag. However, recently the lag has gotten INCREDIBLY bad, to the point of no playability. I can't walk three steps without lagging like crazy. As I said earlier, I play this with my ONE friend. He doesn't lag at all though, which I find quite strange. My minecraft server log and chat has the **** spammed out of it with "[WARNING] Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded?" It's even spammed with this message when no one is on the server! I run the server from the same computer I play on. It is a Compaq Presario CQ50. I believe it has 2 gigs of RAM and is 32 bit. I know its not a good laptop, but I thought it could atleast handle a server for two freakin people! If you have any advice or any ways you know of that can fix this, please tell me. Idk if I need a new laptop or what but just try to help out! Thanks!

Why is my Minecraft so laggy?

If you are referring to your game noticeably stuttering during play, both in single player and multiplayer, your GPU is having a difficult time displaying the game, which can be rectified by lowering your graphics settings or buying a new gpu. If you are referring to stuttering that only occurs in multiplayer, you have a slow connection between your computer and the server. To fix, first make sure your computer is not doing any sort of background downloads. Next, if that doesn't make any difference, make sure nobody else is downloading or streaming anything. If the above don't help, the only real way to lessen the lag is to get a faster internet plan from your ISP. Some stuttering is normal for minecraft as each chunk is loaded, and is most noticeable when you load a world or join a server, as the game must load all chunks that are in visual range of the player at the same time, which is taxing on the processor.

Why is Minecraft so laggy on my computer?

Everything looks good except for your GPU.
Unfortunately though, because your system is a laptop, you won't be able to add a new graphics card or replace the GPU.

What I recommend if you haven't already is:
- Installing the Optifine Mod: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EeK04kU6...
- You could also try updating your graphics drivers.
To do this go to Computer>System Properties>Device Manager>Display adapters>Intel HD Graphics>right click and click on update driver software.

Hopefully the game should run better once you've done this, if not there isn't anything else you could do :(

Good Luck :)

How much RAM do I need for a 4-person Minecraft server?

Hi, Vanilla Minecraft doesn’t need much ram. You can start with 512MB or 1GB and it should be enough. If it is laggy you can always upgrade your plan. However a server doesn’t only need lots of ram to run well. My server has 6GB ram and has 20 people online and about 30 plugins without lag.We have experienced some chunk loading / world lag and we’ve fixed that by switching to a hosting provider that offered SSD hosted servers. Also server specifications such as RAM type/speed, CPU and Storage (HDD or SSD) can be taken into account for the overall performance of a server.

How do I make my Minecraft PE lag free?

I see that your device(Xperia D2212) has an okay amount of RAM to play Minecraft PE, so thats not a problem.Solutions:-1. Some Maps have really huge structures with a lot of blocks in a small area, a lot of creatures roaming around and etc. These entities can cause some lag. A temporary solution can be to move away from that structure so that Minecraft doesn't load those entities and there will be less lag.2. You might have set your Game Settings at high quality. You should lower the render distance and switch off the fancy graphics, animated water, beautiful skies and the view bobbing options. Thanks for the A2A.
