I've never had a real conversation with my dad?
Not sure what to tell you. I m the same way. I feel closer to my mom than my dad. I can talk to my mom about almost anything. With my dad, it s more like "yep, uh huh, no, yep, etc." The only time I talk to him is if you actually can call it talk, is when we argue about something. I care and love my dad as well,... like I said, maybe you re just closer to your mom for some reason. Good luck. Maybe you re more comfortable talking to her than him.
What is the weirdest conversation you've ever had with your mom/dad?
This one is crazy because I am from India. A land where words like sex, sperm etc. are taboo when discussed between parents & kids, and donor, surrogate are borderline. A little back story: This famous Bollywood Star and his wife were in the news because they were considering having a baby through a surrogate.The conversation goes as follows-Mom: so did you hear about ***? He is going to have a baby. Me: (mental shields going up) yes... What about it?Mom: how do they do that?Me: (totally expecting an outburst about men wanting to have babies through more than one mom) it's his life, Mom. And he is rich enough to raise another child. If it isn't bothering us, why should we complain about it?Mom: but I don't understand. What is the procedure to do this?Me: (wait, what?) It is like, the man has to provide a sample and it has to be implanted into the woman's reproductive system. The pregnancy and everything else is same as usual.Mom: but don't you remember, in the movie 'Chori Chori Chupke Chupke' he spent the night with her and then she got pregnant?(Chori chori chupke chupke is the story of a barren couple who hire a prostitute to bear a child for them. The prostitute ends up falling in love with the husband and refuses to hand them the baby etc.)Me: Mom, that's just a movie! Mom: Oh...Me: Watch Vicky Donor. You'll understand how the process works. And it is quite entertaining too. This was probably the first time a child had to give her parent 'The Talk'.
My mom caught me having a dirty text conversation with my guy friend?
I REALLY NEED HELP FROM YOU GUYS! parents especially I do/don't understand why she's freaking out so hard. Shes telling me i can never talk to him again. When it's all a joke and i mean i get shes my mom to see those text messages shes probably so like embarrassed maybe. But im not a bad girl, it's not like i would ever do anything like that i stated it very clearly to the guy, i said i would never cause i want a good relationship with God, ive even brought it up while talking to him, im 14 by the way. I just don't know what to say to her that i already haven't. I want to make her understand that i'm 14 years old, and i want a little bit of a private life, she doesn't have to constantly be snooping, what would she do if she found out i was sexually active(im not and will not till marriage but just saying) its not his fault and she doesn't realize that he asked me if i was okay talking like that and stuff, its not like he pressured me and that im actually going to, so why are my words like breaking her bones. PLEASE HELP!!! i dont know what to do, hes a really great friend to have, and i dont want my mom not trusting me anymore :(

I listened in as my mom and dad talked dirty to each other while I was up getting a baloney sandwhich. It was weird and I cant look at them in their eyes anymore. Dude, they were talking about stuff having to do with the anus. Barf Anyway, have you ever done that? LOL! The listening in part not the anus stuff. Hehe.
