HELP!! MY brother is a mommas boy!!!!!?
omg everywhere my mom goes, my brother has to be there. just now my mom and brother left. also when me and my mom go shopping, he wants to come too. AND HE'S 16!!!! he loves her too much..ugh it makes me sick! what can my family do to make him less attatched to my mom? FYI she doesnt like it ( being followed around by her son)
Help!! my mom babies my brother toooo much?
OK so my brothers 8 and i have a older sister. My mom has like this protective bubble around my brother and my sister and i are on the outside. He thinks hes better than any one else. He bosses my mom around like hes older and she tolerates it. Its insane!!! So in the morning, when hes told to get up for school, He takes FOREVER even though my mom puts out the close for him and reminds him to hurry up every few minutes. The whole time though hes yelling down the stairs "_____ BE QUIET!!" "MOMMY MAKE ME SOME EGGS WITH CHEESE AND TOAST WITH BUTTER AND ______ JAM!!" But then on the weekends hes the first one down stairs in front of the TV and a bunch of wrappers!! He thinks he rules the house and theirs nobody stopping him from doing so. UGHH. And Him and my sister fight A lot, It drives me insane!!!! Hes always nagging on her and it just makes her furious. I would think shes on the same side as im on but with her you never know. Another thing he does is steal. OMG!!!!! like toooo often. Like my mom got this really cute heart shaped box of m&ms and one day its full the next day i go in my room its only got 2 left in it!?!?!? $@^^^##^@#^&* Ahh much better.... any way, hes got spacers an hes not aloud to eat sertain foods but guess what? Thats right He does it anyways!!! AND HE DOESN'T GET IN TROUBLE!!!!!!!!! Any time he does get in trouble he doesn't follow through. Like the time he got gum all over the TV!!!(When hes not even supposed to chew gum) He wasn't allowed to watch TV for a week But take a wild guess what he did!!?? He managed to wiggle his way through And watch TV EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK!!!!! Theirs PLENTY more were all this came from but this is just a small example of my evel brother. I need to find a way to stop this and i cant confront my mom or dad because its technically impossible and iv tried before but i just get yelled at and my brother just sits there and tries to lecture me also.( But if it were the other way around,i mean me in his conversations, HE YELLS HIS *&#%$E HEAD OFF LIKE HE DOES ALL THE *$&%^ TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... PLEASE HELP!!!!

That's awful! It sounds like a terrible way to live your life and I'm sorry you are having it so rough. I'd say the only options you have are to confront your parents about this (you don't say if your Dad is supportive- maybe speak to him about it first and see if he can have a word with your Mum, or mediate between you?) or you can say nothing, keep your head down and get away from your mother as soon as you are old enough, or tell someone else like an extended family member, a teacher or church member that you trust. The other thing I thought of was to get your brother on side. If you have a reasonable enough relationship with him, or even if you just think that deep down he is a nice guy and would support you if he had to, you could try telling him how upset and affected you are by feeling like second best, maybe he would stand by you and point out to your mum if something is unfair on you, or you are given into trouble for something that was his fault. If your brother is a bit of a handful, you may need to stress to him how bad this makes you feel. Don't shout or argue with him, just tell him that's he's your brother, you love him and you hoped he'd understand and be mature about finding a solution to your problem. I hope this helps you, although it may be worth just adding that my mother came down very hard on me, I always felt like the black sheep. Once I was an adult, I told my mother this and she said that the reason she had been harder on me is because of how smart and mature I was, she sometimes forgot I was still a child, and also because she expected more from me than my brothers, to be sensible, mature, get good grades etc. It infuriated her when I did wrong because she expected better of me. Im not sure if this is the case with your mum, but judging by your straight As and your brothers Cs, it could be!
My little brother hates me! help?
It's probably because your relationship with him has changed and he does not know how to accept this. Help him and you will help yourself, too. Think about the things he enjoys doing and then sit down with him when he is alone. Tell him you miss hanging out with him and want some one on one time doing what he/you like together. Just the two of you...and maybe five minutes alone with him a day can remind him of how special he is to you during these changing times. Remember to hug and kiss him everyday.
My brother can do no wrong in my mom's eyes?
I love my brother, but my mom loves him too much. He does so much **** and totally gets away with it and she doesn't even care. I get ONE underage drinking ticket and she hits the fan. I'm grounded for basically the whole summer now. Here are some of the things he does - smoke weed. seriously. my mom thinks this is fine because 'he's smart enough to know what's he's doing, and someone who works as hard as he does deserves some sort of break every now and then'. wth. it's like he could smoke crack and it would be fine. and he doesnt even work hard he's just naturally smart. he's pretty much a genius and going to MIT in the fall, but still insult others. he's not a mean guy, but he's one of those really quick witted types, so when someone says something stupid he'll quip something real fast. if i call someone out on being an idiot i get grounded stay out really late. like until dawn. my mom thinks this is okay because he doesnt do stupid things and whatnot, like just watching movies and stuff with his friends. eat everything in sight . he's real slim and stuff but i'll get brownie mix for me and my friends and he'll eat like the whole batch. so she's perfectly alright with him being a disgusting slob be gay. seriously. him and like one of his best friends since pre-k have pretty much been secretly together (not that secretly, but they wouldnt hold hands in public or anything like that, this isnt europe or san fran or something) since idk, sophomore year? my mom is totally okay with this and she thinks its sweet and stuff and at least they have each other. two guys having sex is pretty much disgusting. and she doesnt even care. ok so like i love my brother but my mom doesnt ever get mad at him for anything. how can i make her be more like this with me?

These people have difficulty accepting that they like some aspects of a person, but don’t like other aspects of a person, they are close to. So in order to handle their ambivalence, they split their children into two camps: this son I love, this child I hate. It helps them handle life without falling apart emotionally. It is easier for them.How can you handle it? Bear in mind that your mother, when she is hating you, is only 3 years old on the inside. She’s not an adult mother, she is a 3-year-old child that has been abused.Find somebody else to give you mother-love. Your mother is unavailable. You need mother-love. She won’t give it to you. i could of sworn you just told the story of my mine and my brothers relationship.Everything you just said is exactly the same things that goes on with my brother. I tell my parents and they never understand.He calls me names behind their backs too and he NEVER gets in trouble for it.And people say that all siblings fight...well not like this.He is so annoying. I know exactly how you feel. Although i am 13 and he is 9 it is about the same age difference as you and your brother.And he is such a mama's boy too. Whenever i try to make him angry he just laughs to aggravate me,and i get pissed so i hit him. So when i hit him he crys and i am the one who gets in trouble.
