Should I report my mom's BF for animal abuse/neglect?
My mom has been dating this guy for 3 almost 4 yrs. I do not like him for her and neither does anyone in my family. I can go on and on about why I don't want him around my mom but this is about one of his poor dogs. When he moved in our house I already had an indoor cat here. My mom's BF trained his dogs to 'get' cats so she couldn't come in the house. So during the day she stays outside and at night she comes in the heated/air conditioned garage. Well I'm 20 and I have my own things going on. I haven't been home in a couple days except for at night and I noticed I haven't seen his dog outside or even seen him go and feed her.. so I grabbed a bag of treats and walked to the garage. THIS IS WHAT I SAW (PLEASE LOOK AT THE PHOTO) I AM SO UNBELIEVABLY disgusted and outraged. I understand he has no money but you don't leave your dog like that. Plus she had NO FOOD. She swallowed those treats whole and almost choked on it! I went to giver her food and I didn't even see a damn food dish. I'm so pissed off and this is just so typical of him. He just said the other day that if my cat (who is pregnant) doesn't take to her kittens that we'll drown them. WTF?! WHAT DO I DO YOU GUYS?!?!?? He's a damn saint in my mom's eyes so I can't talk to her about it. I'm a huge animal lover and I think if you choose to have a pet it is your obligation to take care of that pet.
My mom treats me like an animal and i hate it can i go live with my dad?
they're divorced and everytime i make a B on a report card, my mom trips and wants me to make all A's. It's hard for me to do that but I try, I really do. Well if I get in trouble for something else, she'll beat me like a puppy that used the restroom on the floor. And she'll talk to me like I'm stupid. I hate it. Recently she beat me so bad that I have bruises and open wounds on my legs and stuff. I told my step mom and she talked to my dad and said when he comes home from over seas in Iraq, we're going to talk to each other face to face and my dad will take it to court so I can go live with him. But I'm scared of what my mom's going to say... what should I do? I hate living like this.. I'm tired of always lying to my mom just because I'm scared she won't accept me or my friends. I'm living in fear constantly.. Is it my decision? Like totally up to me?? Please, help me.

And I’m sorry you’re having to deal with it.I have family with hoarding issues and while they never hoarded animals, I’m familiar with the shame, anxiety, and worry having a family member who hoards can cause.I’m afraid telling your mother to stop or taking the animals to a rescue yourself won’t do much good. She will resent you, and even if you force her to rehome her animals, she will just go and get more.The best thing you can do is pick up the phone and call your local humane law enforcement department, police department, animal shelter, animal welfare group or veterinarian to initiate the process of getting your mom—and the animals—the help they need.People who hoard need therapy. As horrible as the situation can seem, they’re not criminals. They’re not doing this to be cruel or malicious. They have a mental illness that compels them to live this way. I know it can be difficult to call and anonymously report your own mother, but she, and these animals, need help. And the help they need is far more than just you or I can offer.
How can I convince my mom that anime is not bad?
I hate when mothers do this to kids -.- uh. My mom let me watch whatever...because if it turned out to be bad she talked to me as a kid why it was bad! IF she takes it away from you it's like saying " now dont eat that cookie while im gone, I wont know if you do for sure but just dont!" eat the damn cookie-.- . I dont see how anime is bad, it's made me a better persone. It teachers you a lot of life morals and makes you question a lot of things..in a good way. Simply point out that your not watching something inapropriate like family guy. Gosh, fruits basket is no where near bad..it's the cutest thing ever! You need to find out what exactly is bad. Deathnote bad? No, say it teaches you that you cant change the world by yourself, and whats good to one persone may not be to the other persone. Host club bad? Tell her it teaches friendship and what to look for in other people! I dont see how anime can be bad, nothing against your mother. Just plain out tell her you love it, your not out doing drugs and alc, it's not porn..your not watching shows like southpark. It teaches good lessons! Thats all I can really think of.. and if all else fails..just sneak watching it...I know that sounds bad but anime shouldint be repressed by the world..it should be accepted more and the world might just be a better place!
My Mom is mean to my cat?
My Mom is being horrible to my cat just out of spite to my dad. You see we have a cat and a dog. The cat is my dads favourite and the dog is my moms favourite. My parents are going through a 'rough patch' and my Mom will often do mean things to the cat to get back at my dad. For instance she will spray a little water on her, yell at her, kick her out into the rain, purposely step on her tail etc. I love both my pets and I really hate how mean she's being. I've talked to her about it and she says something like, "well tell your dad to clean out his office then," or "I'll stop if you tell your dad to build an extension." Any advice is greatly appreciated.

My mom's trying to make me eat meat?
Re; Ashley's response, visiting a local farm won't mean a thing unless you are buying products from that local farm. Nothing in your regular supermarket comes from a local farm. Meat is an industry that is set up like any other mass production and it is completely unrelated to cute barns and cows on pastures. Those aren't staged videos portraying rare worst-case scenario situations. That is the truth of what is going on, of the only thing that CAN go on to supply millons and millions of gluttonous people with meat every day. People who insist otherwise are uninformed and trying to save themselves guilt. Some people make nutrition arguments over why you should eat meat. These are typically just not factual as it's easy enough to get vitamins and protein on a vegan diet. But since you are eating fish, there is just absolutely NO argument over why you should be eating other meats. There are NO health benefits to doing this, quite the opposite. I would suggest researching this and showing your mom the results. So many people are misinformed about this subject and REFUSE to learn, because it would shatter the world they've know all their lives and it would make them feel like they've done something horrible. So theres constant denial. Check out the book "The China Study" - it may be a little heavy reading at 13, but if this is something that interests you, it is a good book about this subject. Anyway, tell your mom that she should be proud that you have ethical, moral beliefs and that you are standing up for them. Stick to your guns, she'll get used to it. If anything, it wouldn't hurt to help with the cooking! Good luck!
