My monitor turns on and off byitself?

You probably have something, maybe network request, waking it from sleep mode.
Check your power saving settings

My laptop turns off by itself but only when I plug the charger in. What could be the problem?

If it turns off immediatley when you plug in the charger ignore the rest of this message...

It's possible the laptop, especially the CPU, is over-heating when plugged in. Most laptops power-management keeps the CPU running at a slower speed when it is running on battery power, compared to being plugged in, to increase battery life.

If you have a dust build-up on the CPU heatsink, it may be able to keep just cool enough running at the lower power-saving speed to not shut itself off, but when you plug it into the charger and the comptuer allows the CPU to run at full speed, it over heats and shuts itself off.

Get a can of "compressed air" and, with the laptop off, put the nozzle of the air in the vents where the warm air normally comes OUT... you want to blow in the reverse direction that the air normally flows, to blow the dust back out of the computer.

After you do that, I'd suggest blowing in any other crack and crevice you can find to get more dust out of the machine.

This may not be your problem, but it's a likely cause of the machine shutting down when plugging into the charger (but it should NOT be happening immediately when you plug it in. If that is the case, you either have a defective charger, defective charging circuit in the PC, or in the battery itself.

My computer monitor turns on and off?

The bulb interior your liquid crystal show has a finite existence, so only like a common mild bulb, in case you circulate away the show on for hours and hours and hours once you're no longer utilising it, the show screen will die faster. I see your component in regards to the nifty show saver,i've got seen some outstanding ones myself. you should evaluate placing the "turn off show screen" timer at something like 3 or 4 hours as a stable compromise between playing the show saver and the existence of the show. this way it is not on for quite some the time you're asleep or no longer living house.

My screen turns off(LG)?

Hello,
I have a 3-5 year old LG monitor, Flatron M228WD.
Lately (for about half a year) it has started to turn off itself whenever I turn on my computer connected to it.
If I have something bright(for example a full screen white folder open it will turn off almost instantly, while it can stay on for about 10 seconds if I don't have anything on my desktop and a black background.
The screen does not really turn itself off completely, rather the screen goes black (as if it was turned off) but the power light is still on.

The problems go away if I just leave it for about 15 minutes, turn off the screen, turn it on again and wait for about 5 minutes on my desktop.

Any ideas?:)

Monitor shut off by itself and won't turn back on?

It sounds like you either need a better power supply or a better graphics card. Since you bought a new computer it probably came with an integrated graphics card and around a 300 watt power supply. Check the requirements for running the game and I bet it requires a better graphics card and recommends a better power supply (PSU).

You can get a decent graphics card for around $100 nowadays and they are easy to install. Don't be tricked into spending over $200 for a graphics cards because you probably don't need something that powerful. Power supplies are easy to replace as well.

My laptop monitor randomly turns black!!?

its either a short in the wires or ure liquid crystal are going bad make sure also that the connectors in the laptop are connected to your motherboard good well im guess u dont no how to do this since your asking for help so u might want to have a technician to it

My Desktop Monitor randomly shut off and won't turn back on?

I was on the desktop computer earlier today. We've had this computer for YEARS now. I was browsing the web earlier today and the monitor randomly just shut off on me. I tried to turn it back on, but it won't turn on. I checked the power cord to make sure both ends were secure and they were. The computer itself still works (I can tell because the blue light is still on for it). It's just that the monitor itself is completely black and the light on top of the monitor is not lit up at all (not blue, not orange, just totally off as if it is not powered).

What is wrong? Is my monitor just dead? Do I have to get a new one?

Hmmmm, If your TV works at your friend’s house but not yours, think about anything that might be different. Are you using your original HDMI cable, set top box, coax wire, antenna, DVD player in both locations? Is the cable connected to the same input jack on your TV in both locations?Without an array of fancy video test equipment, you can simply substitute every component and cable from your house into your friend’s TV setup. One possibility if you are using a TV antenna is that the antenna, antenna amplifier, signal splitter, or coax cable at YOUR house is defective and your TV might be producing a “solid black screen” until it receives a good video signal. If you are using an antenna amplifier, posdibly the “wall wart” power adapter has died or gotten unplugged. If you are older than dirt (like I am), and you are using the output from an old VCR video recorder to your TV, you might need to verify your TV is tuned to channel 3 or 4.You might take your friend’s TV, cables, and input devices to your house and confirm that your friend’s TV, cables and devices work in your house.Working together with your friend, you should be able to isolate what works and what doesn't work at your house.
