Always wait and think before you rush over to a victim of electrical shock to prevent yourself from being electrocuted.1. Assess what the cause of the electric shock was.2.Check to see if the victim is still connected to the source of the electricity.3.Keep well away from any water as it is a conductor of electricity.4.Call for emergency assistance immediately if possible.5.If you can, shut off the source of the electrical current.6.Do not touch the victim if the electrical current is still running.7.If the source is cut off, then move the victim away using a non-conducting item such as a stick.8.If the source was lightning, you can touch the victim as the current has gone.9.If the victim is conscious, place in the recovery position.Assess using A, B, C, and perform CPR if necessaryWould you know what to do if someone suddenly collapsed next to you? Personally, I think that the greatest life hack the world has seen is the amazing invention/ discovery (not sure what category it would fit into) of human organ donation and transplantation.Think about what a life hack is, we have found a way to cheat death. Not through a magical pill, but by utilizing a recently dead body, we can harvest parts of it and put it into others bodies to cure them of virtually any disease, even in late stages. It's sheer genius and I have seen this feat of science cure so many lives, that I can't even count.I have seen my father literally minutes away from clinical brain deadness (by the doctor's calculations) who was saved in his final moments by the gift of an organ transplant. My father was in a vegetative state to the extent where you actually have to ask yourself the definition of death (it's a deeper and more difficult question than you may realize), to see which side of this life you consider him to be on. He spent 2 years in the hospital, the last 6 months he was completely bed-ridden, the last 3 months he was in and out of a coma, and the last month he was "alive" only with the help of about 25 different machines. Within weeks of getting a liver transplant my dad was back at home. Within 3 months, he had pedaled a 50 mile bike race.
