My Natural Voice Sounds Too Seductive

What does your voice sound like?

A voice reveal, right?Alright, so.This video was due when I had hit 1000 followers, back in what, late September/Early October?Well, due to a lot of personal issues my animator friend was going through, and the software updating, corrupting the animation, the video got postponed for quite a few months. I mean, given that it’s February and 2019 now, and I’m at 2000+ followers, I feel like that’s pretty obvious.I could have just posted the audio, and honestly at times I kind of wanted to, just to get it out of my way, but! I made a promise, and I don’t like to go back on promises.Honestly I put a lot more effort into a voice reveal than I should have, but hey, I more or less really like the end product. So, first and foremost, the voice reveal is a reading of 50 Shades of Grey which I totally don’t regret doing. Nope, not at all.It totally isn’t cringe-inducing for me to hear the recording (Please note my sarcasm).Secondly, the reading was done in September, so my mic used for the reading is the older one I had, and of lower quality, when compared to the beginning and ending parts which were recently recorded with my newer mic.If you need to pick what sounds closest to my normal speaking voice, I recommend picking the beginning and end parts.Thirdly! The video is completely SFW (Safe for Work), but, given what I’m reading, it is a tad suggestive. Just a little, so keep that in mind. And, all that wait brings us to the video:I hope you all enjoyed! I’m usually not one to ask for gratification, but a lot of effort (too much) went into making this, so any like, upvote, or share would mean a lot. Thanks! And a special thanks to some Quorans who have been following my ride and have been supporting me for a while, and are honestly spectacular human beings that y’all should follow too: Elke Weiss, Sarah Preston, Emily Preston, Noah Herring, Richard Shaw, Dan Moskovitz, Aishah Hannan, Nish Jayram, Sanyukta, Allen Kinney, Mais Sabbagh, Abdul Hussain, Nish Jayram, and I’m sure many more, too many to name. Thank you all!And a very special thanks to my 1000th follower, a bit belated, but incredibly deserved: Adriana Jaden. You’re so incredibly awesome! Both on and off Quora. People like you make the Quora experience fun. Thank you again!Cheers all!Hopefully now you can put a voice to my writing.

My voice sounds a little sweet, but I want to say some sexy and stronge song what should I do? And how to sing with strong airflow?

You need better breath support if you want to add some power - but you shouldn't do that until you've been trained.  Trying to belt can damage your voice if you don't have healthy technique first.  It's fine if your voice is lighter naturally, you should be able to at least sort-of-belt in a mixed voice if you get your voice down solid first.  Most people do not use their voice to its full potential and when they take lessons, they can open up a lot more.

Can smoking make your voice sound deeper?

The previous answers should more than suffice, but if you are talking from a singing standpoint, maybe.  It may restrict your range.  It may damage your cords to the point you can't sing.  It WILL cut your breath control by at least half, probably more.  It may give you throat cancer. It may give you a deeper, raspy sound.  That sound often sounds sexy, right?  So let's say you start smoking to get that sound.  Let's even give you good odds of a 1 in 3 chance that you will have that sound.  Here's what comes with it:- Pain when you sing anything with any level of difficulty.  - Lack of breath, because smoking works on your lungs 100% of the time.- Shortened life span, because smoking has been proven to affect health 100% of the time.- Shortened life span means an even shorter singing span.- A lifelong habit that takes a great deal of time and effort to quit.  You can't just get up one day and say "I got the sound I wanted, I'm done with smoking."  Nope.  You only get to quit if you work really hard at it, and then, every time you see a cigarette, you have to tell yourself you don't need it.  You don't want it.  Because your body doesn't forget what that addiction felt like.- Stained fingers and stained teeth.- Possibly, a very painful death.  Let's be optimistic, a 1 in 3 chance of a painful death. If you feel I'm being harsh, I am.  This is a ridiculous question.  Why would you risk so much just for a deeper sound?  If you can't find a way to be an awesome singer without smoking, maybe you need to be doing something else.

How do I discover my natural singing voice instead of singing with the fake big voice?

This is a common issue for a lot of singers. Your perception of how your voice sounds, and also how you think your voice should sound often colours the natural resonance that would indeed allow you to sing with your natural singing voice. There are any number of reasons that you may be singing with a “fake big voice” - by which I assume you mean that you sound classical or Operatic and grandiose? This often happens with instructions such as sing with your mouth as wide as possible and even sing with an Open Throat - where the intention of this instruction is lost on the student and in actual fact with blind application of such acts don’t achieve what the exercise or technique is meant to achieve. As an example, Open Throat singing actually requires closure in many facets of your vocal mechanism, from the soft palate, vocal folds and also narrowing of your vowels. If you are trying to sing with a wide “Open Throat”, this will affect your natural resonance and ability to clearly sing words and vocal phrases in a negative way.Another reason you may find that you voice is unnatural is an unintended (or even intentional) mimicry of your favourite singers. Think about it, a guy like Chris Cornell wasn’t “trying” to sing like Chris Cornell, he was simply resonating to the best of his ability given his vocal strengths and technical prowess. If you try to sound like Chris Cornell, you are in essence singing in the exact opposite manner to him and will hence sound unnatural and forced. If you identify the elements of your favourite singer’s voice and then impart these techniques into your vocal approach, you will manage a touch of their inspiration while retaining the natural character of your voice. In short, I suspect a few elements of your vocal technique are in need of work, along with a shift in your perception and intention when you sing to allow you to resonate in the most natural way without sounding unnatural and grandiose.I recently detailed my own journey to find my real singing voice - how I found my TRUE voice (you won’t believe it!)

MEN, I need your help! *Bedroom voice...?

Do you ever use it naturally? For example, this guy who I find really attractive always stares at me, never talks...but recently said (DURING THE DAY) in a really slow, seductive voice and whispered kinda in my ear, "hey, how are you?" My friend heard it too! Why are men weird like that? He hadn't spoken to me in 8 months, stares constantly thou... but then randomly does that?? What's UP??! Shouldn't he think that I didn't respond since he never speaks to me??

And what should I do to show him I'm interested??

Do women find a deep monotone voice sexy?

Deep, yes, but monotone? Kind of weird. I like a little modulation and emotion in a voice. But the deep part is nice.

Are women subconsciously attracted to men with deep voices?

Why subconsciously? I'm very well aware that I do :)

Well, I don't know if I'm 'certain' kind of woman but deep voices give me goose bumps...pleasurable ones.

One of Amitabh Bachchan's greatest assets is his deep voice. Despite his looks being...hmmmm, just about average...he makes women weak with his bass voice!

For those not in the know, Amitabh Bachchan is a top (though aging now) star/actor in Hindi Film Industry!!!

Edit: Thanks Jen dear, for the info :) I was beginning to feel the odd one out here...sort of 'certain' kind that felt like derogatory, LOL! You are right, bass has more power, enveloping, esp. when whispered directly to your ears... you just can't have enough of it :))

How can I not sound stuck up and arrogant when I have such a posh voice?

I'm 18 so I don't think it's possible for me to ever get out of the habit of speaking this way now, but always find I have to work twice as hard when trying to get someone to like me because it just doesn't fit my personality and I can come across as being really serious when in reality I'm just messing around. I'm pretty shy and don't tend to speak that much because of it.. but this makes me seem even more stuck up I'm sure. It doesn't help that my voice is naturally pretty deep (im a girl btw) which is just NOT attractive to guys. I actually haaatte my voice and hate coming across as arrogant. Can anyone give me any advice please!?.. it's running my self-esteem deep into the ground atm :(

I'm 16 and my voice is too deep, is that good?

You lucky lucky lucky guy, I have pupils who would die for a Bass voice. Just don;t ruin it by even trying to sing high.
It sure aint a curse!!!!!!!!!!!
