My neighbor makes me uncomfortable?
I'm a teen and I recently moved back to the house I had previously lived in two years ago. One of our neighbors is still there, a middle-aged man with a young son and wife. He's a strange guy who purposely turns his head to avoid making eye contact or having to initiate a conversation with my parents. My parents will honk and wave when they drive by but he acts like he is deaf. The other neighbors around us also say he is strange and rude, he told an eight year old boy I babysit that if his cat were to get out again he'd let his dogs loose to kill it. The man's son likes to peer over peoples fences and stare at them, I'll admit to "accidently" spraying him with a water hose one of the times he has looked over our fence. The thing that makes me uncomfortable about my neighbor is that even though he avoids eye contact with other people, he stares at me. I was standing outside yesterday watching my sister ride her bike and I glanced over and saw that his head was completely turned and was full on staring at me, he looked like he had been doing it for a few moments. I just awkwardly nodded my head and later told my dad about it, who was pissed. My neighbor does this whenever I walk by. I honestly don't know what to do about this, I made a smart move by telling my dad but is his staring harmless or should I ask my dad to mention it to him? MAIN POINT: My strange neighbor has a habit of staring at me and I don't know if it's harmless or if I should ask my dad to mention it to him.
My neighbours make me feel uncomfortable?
This is very strange but my neighbours make me uncomfortable. Its like as soon as I know they are there in their room. I am not myself I do not feel free to do all the things I want to do in my own room, such as study or move around freely. I always have it in my mind that they can hear me or am making noise. What do you think I could do, move? Because this is really frustrating me and making me uncomfortable.
Uncomfortable Neighbors?
Thanks for the feedback! It didn't dawn on me I may be causing my own problem. To respond to a previous comment, we have a shared backyard, and given second hand smoke will hurt my family more than the person actually smoking, I have every right to take the high road and ask for them to move downwind. I assumed they didn't know the door was open; however, their behavior since then are their responsibility. Thanks again!

Is it against the law to make someone feel uncomfortable?
The police just rolled me up cos I tarred and feathered my neighbour after he wouldn't give me my frisbee back... Some people just can't take a joke...the tar wasn't that hot, I am sure his skin will grow back
Do you stare at your neighbors?
Are they really staring, or just looking at you, watching you? When I first moved into my house, I kept to myself, and really minded my own business generally. Then I got burgled. And I realized that I need to make my presence felt. So now, I will open my blinds whenever I hear a really loud noise outside, or hear people speaking loudly for an extended period of time. I also get out there, on my front lawn, on my porch, in the backyard, as much as possible. If you have nothing to hide, you should actually be grateful that your neighbors are keeping an eye on you, even IF they are not doing this with the best of intentions. What they are doing is letting you, and everyone else around, know that they have their eyes on the street, which keeps the neighborhood safe.
What if your neighbor is intentionally making you feel uncomfortable when you go out/when you arrive at your house? They laugh. They look at what you're doing. They say things and make noises that really makes you feel uncomfortable.
That may not mean anything. They were simply curious of you. Your name described you are Asian, and you might be a newcomer in that neighborhood of yours, the reason why these people watched your movements. If you had been living in that place for long time, they are aware of your different tradition as regard character, personality and your custom which may be new for them.Do not get too much self-conscious. You will get over it in time. You cannot just question those people they maybe long time residents. If you were in a north american country they were only curious. As an Asian, they truly will be curious. You may have a different culture than them. More so, if they were the same age as you, they will be curious. These people have freedom of expression, and they probably feel free to make opinions of you among themselves. You know, like girls giggling because they see someone from another culture who may have different traditional practice. And if you were good looking, nothing to wonder about.Photo credit : Huffington Post
Why would my neighbor be ignoring me?
My husband and I moved into a duplex 6 months ago. My neighbor is a single mom with 2 kids. I have 1 kid. When we are waiting for the bus. I m friendly. I said hi to her at least 3 times and recently I stood beside her and said hi. She gave me the cold shoulder. Then when my husband takes our daughter outside to wait for the bus they talk about many things. She came over last night. My husband answered the door and she asked him to take her broken tv outside. It s been a few weeks since I said hi to her. So today I looked at her as she crossed the street and she rubbed her eyes and totally ignored me. I was hoping she would say something. The silence makes me uncomfortable.
What to do about a creepy neighbor who stares and I saw masturbating while watching me?
I moved into my house 3 years ago and I live alone. Almost immediately I noticed my neighbor staring at me any time I was in my back yard. The way that my backyard is set up, if I am in it you can see me because my fence sits lower. I can not add to the fence because of Home Owners. Anyways the guy creeped me out a little but nothing too crazy. Recently I was out side and I looked over and he was staring at me and masturbating. I finished bbqing and got inside. WTF!!?? I didn’t call the cops because he was in his house and I didn’t think that there was anything I could do. Last night I was outside and I saw him peaking around the blinds to look at me. Is he watching me from inside his house now? What do I do? I want to yell at him but once again I live alone!
