My Parents Wont Let Me Retake A Test

WHAT DO I DO? MY PARENTS WON'T TEST ME FOR ADHD!?!?!?

I am 90% sure I have ADHD! I have no idea how much it cost, I have all the symptoms, and my parents still won't take me. I have pestered my mom with this, so I think she will ground me if I ask her or my school councilors. I REALLY want to get into my schools gifted and talented program in seventh grade. They look at your sixth grade marks to pick them out... AND FIFTH GRADE!!! I know the reason my mom doesn't think I have it... I AM HONESTLY SMART! I don't see what that has to do with it. My dad has ADHD and he scored so high on the state tests, they made him retake it! I guess I have always relied on what I understand, and that luck is running out! My teachers have noticed that I kept missing asignments and scheduled a parent teacher conference. I am known for being smart only because I only listen to the first lesson of something, and then I zone out. My grades are suffering. I am WAY to embarrissed to tell my friends, IT IS RUINING MY LIFE! Worst of all, my teacher raided my locker and stole my notebooks to see my organization. I FEEL HORRIBLE! I have to get notes from the councilors every Friday and my mom still hasn't seen my teachers bad note about the notebooks... I hope she just forgets! I am telling you I am desperit! I can't focus, I am losing my reputation, and my parents don't believe me! I have something called sinestheria and having it even increases the chance of ADHD! I am super fidgety, can't pay attention, and all my friends think I have serious ADHD!

Parents won't let me drive to school?

Im 17 and a senior in highschool, got my permit a year ago and recently passed my road test on the first try. I took 2 months of drivers ed in the summer and two more months of lessons before my parents would let me take my road test. My mother and father both agree that I am an excellent driver and do not worry that I will cause an accident..They also say they trust me to drive safely and that is not the issue.

The issue is that I "lack experience", and that " Driving in the morning is unsafe and the worst time of day to drive". I refuted their argument stating that I NEED the practice of driving alone BEFORE I get hired (interview tomorrow) and have to drive through the inner city everyday to get to work. They will let me drive alone downtown other times of the day and even trust me in the car to drive alone with my little sister(12 years old). My little sister also says that she feels much safer driving with me than with my older sister(19 years old) who was essentially given her own car for free (that won't be the case for me) and also more so than with my father.

I've gotten excellent grades all throughout highschool, I stay out of trouble and am a very good driver who is aware of the idiots on the road. What more can I do?? I'm so frustrated at this point I thought I had done everything right and all for nothing now? I have a better chance at buying my own ******* car at this point and driving it to school than being allowed to drive the extra UNUSED car laying around 2 miles to school every day. I would also cover the gas cost (I am already of the cars insurance as a driver) and everything. My parents logic is so flawed it makes me want to drop an 80lb dumbbell on my foot.

Also..more than 80% of the seniors drive to school and over half of the juniors do as well (there was a survey taken by the school). It is the norm to do so in my school and I am being refused the privilege. At this point I'm going to ignore my parents and buy my own car after working two jobs for a couple months. Also I need practice driving in the snow as I live in upstate New York. I wont be allowed to drive in the snow unless I have to go to work. THIS MAKES ZERO SENSE...I should have the experience BEFORE HAND so I am confident in my ability to do so.

I got a 1560 out of 1600 on the SAT, my parents wanted me to get a 1600, what can I do about it?

Show them the percentile ranking.SAT Score Percentiles (High-Precision 2016 Version)With that score you are in the 99.8% of all students taking the exams. Getting a perfect score would only move you up in ranks by 0.18% which is basically negligible. That would only move you up 90 spots in a theoretical application pool of 50,000.The other aspects of your application would affect your chances at elite schools way more than a better test score than that could get you. Top level schools reject people with perfect scores in order to let in people with lower scores but better overall applications. Retaking the test at this point would be a waste of your time and energy.Best of luck

How do you get retakes on E2020?

I'm a freshman and in my algebra class we are on the site E2020. But I needed to retake my first quiz because if I don't I won't be able to move on to the next activity. But the site says I have no retakes. How do you get more retakes? My teacher and his assistants won't help me and my other class mates because they hardly know how to use the site themselves.
So how do you get more retakes on E2020?

My teacher lies to my parents to get me in trouble.?

I believe you. Teachers can get away with anything. My spanish teacher knew I took this one test, and admitted that she saw me take it, but because she couldn't find it she wouldn't give me credit for it. she wouldn't let me retake it either. She also had this rule where if you didn't do some classwork thing, she wouldn't give you credit for your homework. I did the classwork, but she said i didn't do it right and didn't give me credit for it or my homework, even though i had them both.

You're underage, so there's nothing you can do about it. You just have to deal with it and try to prove yourself. Pay attention to everything the teacher says, take notes, don't talk in class. You may want to kill her, but don't let it show. Prove you're the better person.

I was sick & my teacher won t let me makeup my tests?

So I had gotten really bad strep throat & I missed school for 3 days with a doctors note, my teacher has deadlines to when you can take test or make them up, & he won t let me make them up even though I was very sick & I was told to not go to school for he reason that I could get others ill, what do I do ? Or what can I do?

How can I tell my parents about my low SAT score? I got 1150/1600. I expected a 1250+. Now I’m not telling them about my low SAT score, and constantly lying that the scores are delayed.

Here’s your answer:“Mom, Dad, I didn’t do so well on the SAT this time, and I’ve been afraid to tell you because I didn't think you’d understand.. So here’s what happened:I studied for this test the way I study for all tests: I went over the material that the questions are based on, and I thought I knew it well enough to answer any questions they could throw at me. Unfortunately, the SAT is not a knowledge test; it’s a test of your ability to solve byzantine math problems and think deeply enough to answer convoluted questions on abstruse reading passages - all while being timed.I refreshed my knowledge of the fundamentals and practiced sample questions for months, and I got good enough to answer most of them correctly, even when timing myself. The problem is that when the test counts, the clock becomes a major distraction and the urge to rush is nearly impossible to resist. I know that’s how I lost points; I could feel it as it was happening.I know that there are people less affected by this kind of pressure, but I find it hard to stay calm when I have to perform when my mind is on the clock.”Find a way to say that in your own truthful, respectful words. Just don’t leave out the last sentence. (If your parents have ever had sex, they should be able to relate.)Lastly, IF AND ONLY IF your relationship with your parents allows, print them out a single page of SAT math and a single reading with questions. Tell them they can use their smartphones to look up any words they don’t know. Offer to do any math equations for them too, provided they can tell you what they think should be done. All they have to do is the thinking part, and they have fifteen minutes. If your parents are reasonable, this should permanently end the discussion.

My math teacher won't let me make up a test.?

So on the last day before the christmas break i was sick so i didn't went to school. There was a test going on. The test is a huge factor of my grade and i was absent that day. I show my absent note to my math teacher but he said its the policy you can't make it up. I was never absent or late for my math class but only this once cause i was sick. I was planning to get a good report card average and now my math teacher is being an *** help me!

My class average on a test was 62%. Should we be allowed a retake?

To be fair, no, there should not be a retake. Grades are inflated as it is, there is no need to inflate them more. As for the class average being low, it can also mean that the students have not tried enough.I’ve had a class where there were 2 midterms, both with class averages of less than 51% (50.X%). There was no retake or make-up options. I for one got 80s on both tests, because I studied hard compared to others. The first midterm with such a bad average should’ve been a wake-up call or learning lesson for the class. However, by barely improving on the next test, the class proved they won’t learn the easy way or the hard way.
