My Pc Starts Up In Vga But When I Put It To Hdmi The Screen Goes Black

My sansui tv screen goes black at random times?

There could be a problem with that HDMI port or the cable you're using, otherwise the TV internally might have a fault in that circuit that controls that ports input and video/audio processing. Now if you're connecting the Laptop up to the TV via VGA port and the cable box via coax cable wire etc then it may explain the problem is indeed in the HDMI port/ports or HDMI cable or it's inside the TV video/main board or in the power supply.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way be sure to try different HDMI ports and cables.

What does it mean when your computer displays a "VGA No Signal" message?

It means that the monitor is working but does not see the computer is turned on. The message means your monitor is working okay but is not getting a signal from your computer. The best thing to do is make sure your computer is powering on. Look on the back of your computer and see if you more then one video port on the back. They will look like the blue one or the white one. See if you have 2 of the blue or 2 of the white. If you do then move your monitor cord to other video port and see if it works or not.If that is not the problem then there is something wrong with your computer is not turning on or you have a problem that you are getting any video from your computer.

Why does my computer screen/monitor sometimes not give me a signal?

I have had a Samsung S22D390 screen/monitor for a couple of years now, and I've noticed within the last month or so that sometimes when I go to power on my computer tower and then turn the monitor on that I won't get a signal on the screen. It will just stay black or just constantly flip flop from 'VGA' to 'HDMI'. The blue LED power light on the monitor itself will also just flash/blink. When this does happen I've been forced to hold down the power button on my tower to restart it which I know isn't advised to do, but I've had no other choice. I've tried taking the HDMI cable in and out, I've tried VGA when HDMI fails to give me a signal and vice versa. About 10 minutes ago I had my computer on 'sleep' mode, and then when I was ready to jump back on the PC I failed to get a image on the screen. The tower itself was fully operational, but the screen failed to give me any signal much like I describe above. I should stress that this does not happen every single time, but it has happened enough times to have me worried.

I've found that I have to quickly turn on the monitor a second after I turn on the power on the tower to avoid this lack of signal issue, but this doesn't always work..

This never happened at all when I was using VGA directly onto my tower's motherboard, but I've had a couple of different graphics card within the last couple of months, and currently I am using a NVIDIA GEFORCE GT 730.

Will a VGA port start producing better quality, if you put an HDMI adapter on it? I have 2 ports on my computer, 1 VGA and 1 HDMI, and there's a noticeable difference. Should I purchase that adapter?

I suspect the difference you note is due to monitor settings. Because post-VGA interfaces are digital, things like gamma and brightness behave and are adjusted much differently. If you’re seeing crosstalk or ghosting or blurriness, the problem is probably just your cable.VGA is still entirely reasonable to use, and there are plenty of worthwhile motherboards that provide it. You should expect decent-resolution displays to work as well with VGA and DVI/HDMI/DP - certainly up to 1920x1200. After all, VGA is a well-engineered interface that can take advantage of the analog signals being differential, and use coax to avoid interference. Asking it to do 4k or high refresh is a little unreasonable, of course. And it’s always a little paradoxical to have an analog signal plugged into a digital output device (LCD) - but then again, it’s also paradoxical to continuously re-send the video frame to such devices…(Some variants of DVI support VGA’s analog signals, but don’t expect converter cables to do a good job - DVI-D, HDMI, DP from VGA)

How do I connect my Compaq Presario CQ61 laptop VGA to a HDMI port on a television?

This has happened to me before. Go onto your laptop and just press the start button and x
(windows logo on ur keyboard and press x at the same time) A menu should appear on your laptop. If it doesn't come up with a menu, go to control panel and search for display. Find display and click on set up to use multiple monitors. Then choose project to a second screen. If there is no option just Google----- Shortcut to project to a monitor in ....... (replace ...... with your operation system)

Why is my projector screen green? is a bulb out?

Your bulb is fine, so put your wallet away what happened is the same thing that happens with all VGA cords eventually (monitor cords) they bend and get tossed around, especially the ones for portable projectors, and the connections loosen at the plug. You can probably plug it in and turn it on, and play with the cord near one of the plugs, jiggle twist pinch, and get it to either go back to a normal display, or it will turn other blue or red or back to green, as long as everything is the correct color when it boots up its not the bulb. first thing to do is to replace the cord from your laptop to the projector. if that still doesnt work (i doubt but incase) try running a different signal to the projector if it has any other inputs such as an RCA in or an s-video in.
Good Luck
