My Power Foundation Seems To Come Off And Look Blotchy After A Few Hours. Any Suggestions

My foundation always looks caked on and blotchy?

I agree with "Kateepuff" as well. Make sure your skin is moisturized. Something else you can try is spritzing a bit of MAC Fix + of Evian Spray (I prefer Evian) to your face before and after foundation. I've found that it helps the foundation to "sink into" your skin.

Also, i think you may be using the wrong foundation. Just because it's expensive -doesn't mean it's good for your skin. What works on others just may not work for you. I personally hate MAC foundations because I have super dry, sensitive skin -but it might be great for others to use. I've had "caking" problems with MAC Studio Fix as well so I'm thinking you may want to try Make Up For Ever or NARS.

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Foundation is great for those with more normal to oily skin and MAKE UP FOR EVER is good for normal to dry skin. I love NARS Sheer Glow foundation -which is moisturizing and gives my skin a dewy finish.

I highly recommend that you stop using MAC foundation because it seems like that may be the root of the problem. Also, how does the Smashbox primer work for you? I like that stuff but I know that it dries some people out. I'm not sure about the powder because I've never tried it -but that could be a product that doesn't work for you.

Take out whatever doesn't work for you and replace it. If you like the primer, get a new foundation and keep the primer. If you like the foundation, get a new powder etc.. I really believe that this caking is caused from one of the products you're using.

Why does my foundation go patchy?

Either change your foundation or use a good primer under your foundation, I had that problem before so I invested in products that guarantee to look flawless the whole day.Foundations like Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid have a "dewyness" to it so it tends to either oxidize, cake up in certain places or turn patchy like in your case, try using something like L'Oreal mattifying primer, the resurfacing primer or GOSH Velvet Touch primer for easier application and a longer durability. Or invest in a good foundation such as MAC Studio Fix Fluid;MAC Select SPF15 Liquid or a cheaper alternative like Revlon Colorstay!
Good tip: Drink lots of water!!
Hope this helps!! xoxo

Foundation always separates and looks weird on my nose. Why does this happen?

Very simple. Happens because your nose secrets too much oil. To control the level of oils in your skin, make sure you are using skin care products as per your skin type.Always start off with a primer. Primers helps to give you a flawless and seamless base while mattyfying the skin as well. Use a light weight foundation and blend it well. Also, make sure to control your pores. My makeup sweats off and becomes blotchy before lunch?

Face routine:
-wash face
-moisturize
-prime w/ 2 faced primed and porless
-conceal w/ Maybelline instant age rewind concealer
- apply Maybelline dream liquid mousse w/ makeup brush
-set w/ smash box mineral powder

When I first put it on it looks flawless up until 3rd hour which is athletics and I sweat during that. Should I just re-do it at lunch? Or is there any makeup you recommend? I don't have any acne so I could just get away with concealer and powder. I don't know what to do about it my face looks horrible every day now. :/ pls help

How to stop Foundation from going patchy/ orange?

That used to happen to me as soon as my face would get the least bit oily the foundation would look that way. What i think it is is natural oils on ur face is making the make up run and collect in certain spots. The areas it collects look orange and bc of the contrast ur natural coloring looks white. The lightest foundation tone doesnt do this but that can give u a ghostly look. What i do now bc combo/ oily skin was always a problem for me is skip the foundation, dab a little maybelline dream matte mousse in ivory on my skins reader patches or blemishes and then use a light bronzer from physicians formula to blend all over with a blush brush. That way u won't look too pale and the color u leave with in the morning stays. If ur not planning on buying any new products then just put on a light coat of foundation, blend in very well with a sponge, especially on neck and near ur ears and carry tissues with u to blot any oil ur face my produce throughout the day. Carrying a powder compact to check helps but blot oil before adding powder otherwise the powder will just worsen the orange patchy areas and make them set. Drink lots of water all day to help decrease combo/ oily skin

Every time I try to contour my cheeks it looks like I just have dirt on my face. What am I doing wrong?

Bronzer and contour are two entirely different products.Bronzer is meant to be applied to the high points of your face (think about where the sun hits first and colors your skin when you're outside), and is meant to mimic a tan.Contour is meant to enhance and sculpt your bone structure, therefore it is applied to the hollows - the exact opposite of where bronzer is applied!Stand in front of a window in natural light, and hold up a mirror. Slowly turn your head from side to side, and look at the shadows that fall naturally on your face. Where do those shadows appear? That is where you apply contour. Now, what color are those shadows? If you're Caucasian, or very light-skinned Hispanic, they are a grayish taupe color. That is the right color to use for contouring - not brown or bronze (and never use any product containing shimmer!). Additionally, once contour has been applied, it doesn't need to be visible to enhance your bone structure. Apply very lightly, and blend it out so it's not noticeable to the naked eye. It will still enhance your bone structure even if you can't see it. Don't believe me? Contour one side of your face only, then snap a selfie and look at it carefully. You will see even a light application of contour in the right shade will make your cheekbones look higher, and your face slimmer, even if you can't tell it's there!

My makeup looks bad after 2 hours of having it on?

My makeup routine is exactly how it should be. I wash my face and mouisturize before I put makeup on and I use an oil free face primer, even De Slick from Urban Decay. And a good matte setting powder. My foundation oxidizes and gets blotchy, I do not touch my face with my hands or anything else. I have really oily skin and I use the correct products for it. No matter what I do or use it does this. I look terrible after 2 hours even. Around my nose, my T zone and my cheeks it's the worst. I don't know what do and I do carry around a matte powder with me and touch up so I don't look oily all the time but does anyone have any tips on remedies or anything like that? PLEASE!!
