My Prom Is May 15 2015 And I Want A Dress Made Professonaly Or Me Anyone Knows Who Can Do His Or

I Know It's 2 Years From Now, But I Don't Want To Go To The Prom?

Your in Yr 9 then ???
I'm from the UK too. (My prom was in June, I really enjoyed it)
So I kind of understand.
Well my personal opinion would be to go, its the last time you will ever sit in the same room as all of your whole year, as something other than an exam or assembly, or learning.Mine was really fun and Tbh I wasn't really looking forward to it, but when I got there it was worth it in the end.
But I can Understand why you wouldn't want to go, like if your a Tomboy, you would never wear a dress right. Then the whole money situation comes into it too, like the dress, hair, make-up ,Ect.
My dress cost £265 and Im paying my Mom and Dad back.
You shouldn't feel pressured to go, most of my friends didn't go. A lot of them just hated the idea but, at the end of the day its up to you.
Anyway its in 2 years time, so you may have just changed your mind by then, and have a whole different idea.

But your in Yr 9, so the whole "Prom" thing is made a bigger deal everyone is so serious about it, closer to the time, everyone becomes stressed and I can remember on Facebook ppl were like, I wish I didn't have to go.

So yer, thats my Opinion and Experience/s.

Where can i find someone to custom make my prom dress?

Where can I find a Prom dress for under $100?

just like you, i was looking for a prom dress around 100. the best places for that prices are department stores like macy's and jc penny. for those, you could always look online first for a dress that you like and then go to the store and try it on. but i don't think that all of their dresses are online. another option is to try davids' bridal, their prom section (if you go to davidsprom.com you should be able to search the dresses, which are shown w/ their prices, and find one that is under 100 and to your liking). i did davids prom and i went online thinking that i wanted to spend 100 but i fell in love w/ this gorgeous dress and ecided that it was worth it to shell out the extra money.

also, someone told me about this place called berraboutique which has second hand dresses, they're cheap but im not entirely sure if there is one near your house (this is mostly an online place). check it out!

GOOD LUCK!

Does anyone regret not going to their prom?

I do not regret going to my Class prom, class of 1999....Infact I do regret one thing...I didnt go to my ASB balls or any other dances during Highschool....But that is why I had to go to my prom, I didnt want to sit here thinking what it would have been like to go to prom. Dont let that happen to you...GO!!!....If you dont have a date, just go with friends, or even your cousin from "Altuna" (Just Kidding) But seriously though, go if you want to. I had my prom May 22, 1999.....I will never forget the date or the fun I have today looking a-back the memories & pictures I took that day, not to mention, I still keep the picture of the girl I went with plus the group pictures of the friends we went with, this was almost 10 years ago, but still fresh in my mind....It is a memory you wont want to miss out on....Not to mention you will get to see all your friends looking their VERY BEST....A lot of them I could not even recognize since they looked so done up with make up and hair cuts, clothes, etc...DONT MISS THAT NIGHT!!! If you have your personal reasons or if it is a financial reason as to why you are not going, than yeah, I can see why you are having second thoughts....Ps. My 10 year highschool reunion is coming up soon, and guess what! I am going!!! Cant miss out on that important milestone in life either.....Gotta show everyone the progress I have made in life by becominga preschool teacher and now I am working on my degree in Human Services...DONT MISS OUT ON THE MILESTONES OF LIFE!...YOU ONLY GET ONE SENIOR PROM, so why would you want to miss it????!!!! What type of prom dress for light skin and medium brown hair?

I can not think you acquired that for fifteen bucks! I noticed "Iron Man" final night time and Gwyneth Paltrow wears a get dressed identical to that! I seemed for snap shots of what Gwyneth did for her hair and make-up, however I believe it is too quickly after the discharge to discover any, so in the event you wish to assess out what she did might be you'll be able to have got to see the film. I do not believe she wore any jewellery, and with a get dressed like that, I agree that it is on the whole fine to preserve it realistic. (Maybe anything fairly mild, like a silver chain, with a unmarried, realistic purple or lavender stone might be best, however that maybe too hippie for you.) She has crimson hair within the movie, and I acquired the sensation out of your snap shots you are brunette, however it on the whole does not subject. Gwyneth wore her moderately-over shoulder-period hair in fairly beautiful, free waves, that you would on the whole attain with a thicker curling iron and plenty of corporation hairspray. (I'm now not partial to the ones individualized, circular curlers that you simply depart in.) And there are a few fairly best snap shots of Gwyneth's make-up from the movie from specific scenes which can be beautiful convenient to discover with a Google seek. She was once extra red-y within the movie, with a trace of plum for her eyelids and frosted, moderately pinky lips. I say: Keep it mild, preserve it realistic. Line your higher lids, however now not the curb. Maybe a tackle a smokey eye, utilising a red shadow, and a lighter, rosy lip. Avoid lipstick, considering it is disgusting. And have amusing!

As some have already commented, you can be totally nonchalant about it, i.e. shrug it off. If it's a popular dress, chances are there might be 3 or 4 people wearing the same dress on that particular event.Or you can call all of the ladies wearing the same dress, take a photo, upload it on Instagram or tweet it and hash tag the name of the designer. You might even be contacted by the designer. Voila! You get your 15 minutes of fame!Another option if you really feel embarrassed being caught wearing the same dress is to duck into the ladies' room and do a bit of styling. Twist it, pin it up, accessorize it, etc. This last bit would require a bit more effort, though, but it's there if you want it.Have a look at how the celebrities make the outfit, not just dresses, their own.Image from yahoo.com. I’m going to skip mine, and, as of right now, I won’t regret it.I’m currently a junior, which means I have a year to wait until I can go, unless a senior picks me as a prom date. However, that’s not why I’m not going. My high school has a rule where you need to have a date to go to prom. Usually, our tickets cost about $60/person. Add on around $120 for a tux rental, and that’s $180 that I don’t have, since I’m unemployed. I figure, if my group of six friends (3 guys including myself, 3 girls) is going to drop upwards of $2500 (the average price of a prom dress where is live, the northeast, is about $700), we can spend that somewhere else, and have a better time without going to prom. However, my friends are telling me that “it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity, you’ll regret it!” and “just do it for the rest of us!”I’m going to sound cold here, but my answer is a firm no. That’s what they’ve been saying about homecoming. I’ve gone three times, and it sucked more and more each time. I’ve never been to our winter semi-formal, since it’s a more drunken version of homecoming. They’ve told me, “But prom is so much different, with better food!” I can cook food that I want to eat on my own, thank you. “Just try it!” No thanks. I can’t leave from prom, or any dance. I don’t want to be stuck there until 4 a.m, if you count after prom, with primarily people I don’t like. Our after prom is at one of the biggest attractions for Pittsburgh, the gateway clipper. However, it’s not so fancy as to be the reasoning for me to go.Will I regret it?Nah.One of my friends and I are talking about going camping that night, just to stay away from Pittsburgh and the annoying people at prom. But even right now, it’s not looking like I’ll regret doing this. However, only time will tell.

Teens: Would you say missing prom is a big mistake on my part?

I've made so many mistakes in my life! My biggest one would probably be wishing every night that my dad would just go to jail. I've always known since I was eight years old that he would eventually go to jail, news articles have been around about that long describing his fraudulent ways and the oh-so-clever [at the time] Ponzi Scheme. My father was actually one of the first to get away with stealing a large sum of money [$400m]. Well just five weeks shy of my fourteenth birthday, my dad told me he was finally going to jail. The next day I left for Florida with my friends and as I was settling into my hotel room, I got a text from my brother telling me my father had just left to go to jail. It's been a month now and I miss my dad dearly. Talking twice a month for 10 minutes each time isn't at all like seeing him in person. My house is actually a mess without my father. I never really realized how much I loved him until he was gone. He's going to be in jail for another 5 years and I won't see him until he's out [he says prisons are no place for children to visit]. Anyway, this is really only one "mistake" I regret... not loving my father enough and being so selfish as to wish him gone. I don't regret anything really, I mean I wouldn't change not loving him because I wasn't close to him [I was raised by nannies] and he never, ever hugged me until I was about to leave for Florida and he wouldn't see me for five more years. Honestly, mistakes make us who we are today and I love myself so much. I learn from everything I do.. the good and the bad. Obviously a star for you. I don't know anyone who hasn't made a mistake before :] -Catherine

I am now 54. Back in high school (our graduating class had about 470 students), I did not go to any of our proms during the 4 yrs I was there (I did go to the 8th grade dance in Junior HS). I was athletic; involved with sports, 4 yrs varsity track, three yrs basketball, and two yrs field hockey and I loved, loved to read——still do. I was tall 5'10" and wore heels just about all the time. I had the self confidence to wear different hats with different outfits. Or maybe because I was different…. tall, outspoken, independent, a first generation American who was sometimes socially awkward,…. it gave me self confidence, because I knew who I was and ignored those who didn't like or understand me (I could come across as being a bit intimidating or "aggressive") . I had handful of close girlfriends, but no boyfriends. There were boys as friends, but nothing romantic (although my first real kiss was at 14 on the ski lift one night on a school sponsored ski trip:) ) I couldn't wait to graduate from high school! I did not like to dance, I always felt awkward doing that and I didn't have a boyfriend, some of my girlfriends went, some didn't…..I honestly had no desire to go, so I didn't……I think I babysat or worked that night. Finally graduated, went to college, had a blast!!! Graduated college early and didn't go back for the actual graduation. My daughter who is now 24, went to her senior prom with her boyfriend and some other friend couples. She looked beautiful and had fun (although she did get tired of the drama from some friends). She had the most fun going bowling after the prom! (In their fancy dress and everything)To this day I do not regret not going to my prom. If you have the desire to go, go with a friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, alone, with a group of friends…..what ever makes you comfortable. If you really don't want to go, don't……in 20 years no one will remember if you were there or not.
