Blinking orange light on my PS3. What does it mean?
Hi Yeah, you have suffered the Yellow Light of Death (or the YLOD), which appears to be yellow/orange. It is really a fault on Sony's part, yet they won't extend their warranty to those PS3's affected by this mechanical fault. Anyway, it basically means that you have been playing the PS3 for too long, or that it has been left on for too long and has had its motherboard melted (the wires can come apart). It can be fixed by Sony, but that does cost around $150 to repair, which can be really tight for some people. Or you can repair it yourself, which you can do, but I do not advise you to do it yourself (as the Sony is a complicated machine inside!). Firstly, try these: • Turn off your PS3 for at least 20 minutes (to allow it to cool down), then turn it on again • Check for any loose cables • Take out your PS3’s hard drive and put it back in (this may need to be done a couple of time) If these don't work, try my website to fix this issue, which is located in my source. A Yellow Blinking light next to the USB ports and next to the ongoing Green light, what is it?
next to the usb ports, the 2 lights are hard drive, and wi-fi. the yellow is your hard drive light. anytime your ps3 is accessing the hard drive, it will flash. it will flash more if you are downloading stuff from the ps store. The green light is your wi-fi, it'll flash when you are connected wirelessly to your router. The fan noise is normal, the longer you play the louder your fan will get. it works harder to keep your system cooler the longer you play. this doesn't cause any damage, once it gets cool enough it will quiet back down.
Orange light blinking near USB ports on my WORKNIG Ps3?
My Ps3 works just fine--except the disc drive does not take discs in, but we only use it for netflix anyway. Lately, the fan has been running really loud, so I opened it up and cleaned out A LOT of dust...I also bought some thermal paste to repair the dryed up stuff, but it hasn't come in the mail yet. The light usually comes on as soon as I start the Ps3 up and sometimes goes off (Like right now, it's off, but I'm updating the Ps3 and the fans are running very loudly). Any ideas? Is it overheating?

I don't know what up with the beeping so i can't help you with that but im going to correct those other fools who are probably scaring the sh*t out of you with the yellow light of death stuff The yellow light that flashing by the USB ports indicate that you harddrive is in use (loading or saving) a game which is normal and is nothing bad, the yellow light of death is when you power button which glow's green when it's on and red when it's off suddenly glow's yellow, if you have that then your screwed

Yes. The orange light shows the HDD is in use. When the light stays on constantly, that means the game is saving. Save your game and as you save it, watch the light. The light will stay consistently on (not flashing) for 5-20 seconds. When your just going about in the game, the light will usually flicker, showing it's being used as it goes. As you play games, the PS3 needs to take data/memory from the HDD as it goes to allow the game to even play in the first place. it has to do that. Especially when it's loading and such, because it requires that data and memory usage to create the maps and players, and general environment in the game as it goes. It's completely normal, and it should always do this. You should worry if it never comes on at all while it's on. Something might be up with the system. PlayStation Plus is on a different server (an online one known to most as the PSN *though it was renamed to SEN, people still call it PSN*) It won't slow down your system. It stays at one speed all the time unless the servers are acting up that day due to issues on Sony's end (Sony is the creator of the PlayStation 3 and it's online network). Hope that helps.
Why is my ps4 controller not connecting it is blinking white then turns orange?
I have had this issue with my controller and it’s annoying as heck. You can try resetting the controller using the reset button hidden in a small hole on the back of the controller. There are images available online if you have trouble finding it, and you will need a paper clip or something similar to depress it. After doing this, power off the console and connect the controller using the USB cable. Power on the console and hopefully it will connect. When my controller was acting up, it took a few tries before it connected successfully. Good luck!

It's not the light, the orange light indicates HDD usage. Anytime you save, download, install, or the game has to load something from game data, it will flicker.
