N64 Controller Moving Character by Itself... Help?

Recently I decided to take out my old n64 to relive some memories. Everybody knows that contollers had many issues regarding the analog stick wearing out. One of my controllers had this issue and so I decided to fix it using the tape method(I've done this successfully several times before). However after doing this I got a new issue- the cursors/characters in game will move/walk by themselves. For example the cursor to select a file in mario 64 will move without any input from me. Same goes for mario when in the actual game. I've tried the L+R+Start syncing thing and that works for a few seconds, but eventually it goes back to controlling itself. This hasn't happened to me before, but has anyone else been able to solve this problem? Did I maybe bump something that caused a connection issue, or maybe its still a little dirty? Thanks in advance!

How can I fix my PS4 controller right analog stick moving by itself?

In my experience it's usually a couple things . First there is spring and small bracket in the controller there are repair kits available to fix these problems. Pretty cheap. Lastly the board contact maybe damaged or dirty (May have gotten wet etc.). Maybe expensive fix. You can usually get your answer once the analog stick is removed. If you plug controller in when removed (don't lose any parts) and it's no longer moving it's mechanical if it's still moving with it removed it's electrical. (on the control board in switch itself.)

Why is my PS3 controller blinking red lights?

It sounds like it's lost it's Bluetooth pairing with your console. It's easy to fix.Just plug the controller into the PS3 using a usb cable and hit the PS Button. It should stop blinking and assign itself to a port. You can unplug it after that.

PS2 controller has a mind of it's own?

I recently noticed that when playing a game (NFSMW) my controller will act out randomly. For example, ill be driving and a screen (which needs you to press the right key to open it up) automatically opens up by itself. Or the car will start driving by itself as if i'm pressing down the button. This controller is new. I then switched to a diff. controller and this time, the controller starts doing something diff. out of the ordinary? What is up with my PS2? Could the game be the problem?

Are there services in Melbourne that fix busted PS4 controllers?

EB games is probably your best bet. Although I highly recommend getting the Nacon Compact controller it's half the price of a new Dualshock 4.It's wired, however, But the wire shouldn't get in your way if you manage it the wire is also pretty long so it shouldn't be too much trouble except for however far the console is away from your seat. But as far as services go I'm pretty sure EB games is your best bet

My PS4 controller keeps coming on itself and turning the console on. What could be the problem?

Just realized you said your controller keeps turning itself on…The only remedy for misbehaving controllers, besides opening them up, is to reset them. Try following this guide: https://support.us.playstation.c...Original answer follows:I have seen this happen when enabling the option to allow the PS4 to be woken up remotely. Try toggling the option, located in Settings > Power Save Settings > Set Function Available in Rest Mode > Enable turing On PS4 from Network. You may also have to ensure UPnP is available, on, and functioning properly on your network’s router. Just Google your router’s name/model + UPnP for specific details. Finally, it may also be a simple case of HDMI-CEC toggling your console’s power when you turn on your TV, receiver, set-top box, or anything else plugged into the same HDMI device. This is designed to be a convenience, but truthfully, unless you have nothing but Sony devices, it won’t always work perfectly, leading to devices that turn on while others turn off, and vice versa. To try messing with that setting, look at Settings > System > Enable HDMI Device Link. Hope this helps!

How do you fix a jammed R2 button on a PS4 controller?

The easiest way is this: Use a small philips head screwdriver and remove the four back screws. Carefully pull the controller apart and remove the small silver springs from the L2 and R2 buttons. Put the controller back together. The springs aren't actually necessary for the controller to work properly. You will have more sensitive trigger buttons than normal but I find it kinda nice honestly.
