My Ps3 Shows The Game Wallpaper But Doesn

How can I open PKG files on Windows?

Depends on what it is. In my experience, PKG files are for PS3 games. To open them, you’ll need the program “RPCS3”. This is a PS3 emulator, that can open and run (most, it’s pretty new) PS3 games on windows. You’ll also need the .RAP file for the game - you could either create your own from tutorials, or (Much easier) go to psndl.net, search for your game, and click “Download RAP File”.The emulator is quite in-depth. Make sure to check through the forums if you’re having problems, and to make sure you have the latest version click “Build History” on the download page - there is at least one new bug-fixing build from the community every day.

What are Ps3's Ups and Downs?

PS3 wins over the 360 in these ways:

1. PS3 is blu-ray based (games, movies) which beat out the HD-DVD format which the 360 ended up with (it may be part of the console war)...remember the HD-DVD never made it out for production.
2. PS3 now has better exclusives than the 360
3. PS3 has way lower failure-rate than the 360 (But Nintendo Wii has the lowest though)
4. PS3 online is FREE to play if doing multiplayers on games, download access and NOW has NETFLIX which was 360's benchmark against the PS3 for quite sometime. AND IT COMES WITH BUILT IN Wi-Fi ADAPTER wheres the 360 doesn't have one and you need to spend 100 bucks for it.
5. The dualshock/sixaxis controller work like a Wii remote in some ways for compatible games and is rechargeable.

These are the areas where the PS3 gets kicked by the 360:

1. Online gaming is better in the 360 i.e. less frequent crashes... the latest example is during the CoDMW 2's launch wherein a million 360 users got online without problems while us PS3 users was down and servers were crashing...not a biggie if you don't play online all the times
2. 360 has better customer support
3. 360 has a library of more games to choose from...but quantity doesn't equate to quality though.

IN MY OPINION: Go and buy the PS3...look for really good deals this coming BF Sale...

Why are PC gamers willing to spend large amounts of money on gaming setups, while video game consoles are much less expensive?

Why do people go to the movie theaters to watch movies when there are cheaper sources?Because of the experience.Gaming on a PC is much more immersive to the user, allowing a player to become more attached. While on a console you’re much more limited to customization. There is only so much you can do to personalize your set up. On a PC however, you’re essentially only limited to the amount of money you have and your creativity. Take a look at these two set ups:Between the two, the set ups vary. Each is custom to ones own preference and interests.Additionally, PC games have the potential to run significantly better than on consoles. On consoles you’re limited to how the manufacture manufactured it. Its components can’t be changed. Meaning you’re essentially stuck at the settings in which the game developers made the game. The only thing that a user is capable of changing is their display (TV/Monitor). On a PC, a user is allowed to upgrade their computer for a overall better performance. These upgrades can allow a game to run at a higher graphic quality setting, and run more smoothly than before. Moreover, the variety of games on a PC is much larger than on a console. Some of the top games in the world right now are played on a computer. The player base as well on PC is larger and contains a diverse amount of players. This is due to the assortment of video games that can be found on PC’s. It forms a player base that contains a mixture of all sorts of personalities.Overall, to answer your question simply, it’s because of the experience. Those who enjoy gaming and treat is as a hobby are willing to spend the extra money to enhance an activity they enjoy doing.

Whats the deal with Xbox 360 Themes?

before the NXE you could see more of the background and themes made much more sense...but now that they have that foreground "ground" for your avatar to stand on, it doesn't make much sense to have a theme. What you can do tho, is go online and maybe find a cool desktop wallpaper, save it to a USB drive and load it as the background...that way you can have a new "theme" for free. I did this and it turns out pretty cool, jut remember that the bottom half will be mostly covered up and try to find pics to work with that....

Why isn't the difference in graphics quality between the PS3 and the PS4 outstanding?

I think you could get the best answer here if the question's title were: Why is the graphics difference between games from around 2010 and games from 2015 not that big?Look at these screenshots. They are from Crysis and Far Cry 2 (Release dates are from 2007 and 2008 respectively). Now take look at these screenshots from Crysis 3 and Far Cry 4 (Release dates are from 2013 and 2014 respectively). These screenshots are from PC where the hardware is not an issue, so why exactly do these titles that are released 6 years after their predecessors not looking a lot better?Well the thing is related to the latest trends. Game graphics have reached a stage where they look really good and are sometimes even indistinguishable from real life if observed by someone who doesn't know that you are playing a game. That's why developers and artists have been focusing mostly on improving post-processing in these games. In newer titles you have a lot of options for different "filters", which can create a more cinematic experience. One big thing you also see in never games is improved physics. You have completely intractable worlds, where you can destroy things around you, you have far more advanced weather systems and particle effects.Developers can now also take advantage of more real light effects and don't have to fake them with tricks any more. A lot of background and surrounding materials are now in higher detail and they create a more immersive experience. Now if I focus back specifically to PS3 vs PS4 question. At the very end of the PS3 era the developers knew the PS3 platform to the bone. They knew how to squeeze every last FPS out of them. They knew where they could save their resources and still make their game look great. They reduced draw distances, used low-poly models for some things you won't interact with, some games like Mass effect showed only the top of the models during dialogues, so that they could render them in higher resolution.PS4 is still relatively new. I strongly believe that if you give it time, the developers will learn how to use it's hardware better and squeeze everything they can out of it. Just look at how amazing Red Dead Redemption looked.

When I start GTA 4 it just keeps on showing some pictures with some background music. How can I start the game?

Open Notepad and create a 'New Document'’ Add the following line (and no other text) on the first line: -novblank Save the Document with the following name: commandline.txt Copy this document to the 'root' Installation Folder for Grand Theft Auto IV PCTry launching the Game as normal to confirm if this Hotfix may have worked for you.

How do I copy files from a USB to the PS4?

Remember, PS4 do not support all the file formats. Only specific file formats are supported. You can copy data of supported file formats only. Produce the following steps to copy files from USB to PS4:Insert the USB drive.Navigate to Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data on USB Storage > Upload to Online Storage. Now sign in to download the uploaded files.

Which would you choose, PS Vita or Nintendo Switch?

Yes, it is! Except, not really. Hear me out:The Vita has been around for a few years, and has a pretty respectable library, especially if you’re into RPGs. If you already have a PS4, there’s Remote Play, meaning you can play your PS4 games on the couch, bed, or anywhere your Wifi signal is good enough. If you subscribe to PS Plus, many games are cross-buy with the PS4 and/or PS3, and it’s not uncommon that the Vita gets more than the 2 games per month. All that being said…The Vita is abandoned. Dead. Finito. Over. Sony still has decent sales for it in Japan, but in the west, it never really took off. The hardware was pretty good when it came out, but is woefully underpowered nowadays. Odds are, a recent entry level smartphone has more raw power. Most games still coming out for it are either dumbed version of bigger games or simply gimmicks. Wasted potential if I ever saw it.Don’t get me wrong, I love my Vita. But getting one now hoping for new games is pointless. Getting one for the (very)respectable library of games and/or Remote Play is pretty valid, but as far as BETTER choices, the Switch is the way to go right nowEdit: fixed some typos
