My Puppy Has Become So Hyper She Bites Me All The Time Playing. She Claws Up My Legs And Rips My

Why is my cat so damn hyper in the morning ?

Oh she is greeting the day and yes being playful and excited to see you after a night of sleeping. Is she Hungry?? You might try leaving a good amount of food down , cats love to eat at night. and when they are full they tend to slow down and rest. She is just doing normal cat behavior. Hope she is spayed, this calms them down and makes them a happier pet all around. Have a toy ready. Make a fun toy for free. Take a clean pair of socks yu no longer need, the long ones work best. Put some cat nip a little will do , inside the sock, tie the top of the sock up tightly and toss it to her, she will attack and play with the sock .... Yes I think she is just a healthy playful cat doing normal cat behaviour, that is how they play with their litter mates... Good luck and blessings, she is not uncomfortable, she is healthy and happy and you are taking good care of her so she has a lot of energy for playing...

Why does my dog place his paw on me whenever I sit down?

One of my Labradors has been doing this all her life, she is 11.5 years old now. She does it because she wants my attention. She wants me to pat her and rub her tummy etc. If I didn't respond so much when she was younger, she wouldn't have maintained the habit of doing it. While sometimes I find it overwhelming, I still oblige her as it was my responsibility for conditioning her in the first place and to deny her a response at this age would be cruel. Besides, I also think it is cute and affectionate most of the time.UPDATE 1: (9 months later):Nessa is still with us but I wanted to share another photo of her in case she is not around much longer. About 4 months ago Nessa was diagnosed with a probable brain tumour that was causing tremors and instability in her legs. She was finding it hard just to get up and go to the toilet. Thankfully an anti-epilepsy medication has greatly reduced the symptoms and she leads a normal life at the moment but slowly the tremors are breaking through. Here is a photo of Nessa (on the RHS) and Simba as they wait to chase a tennis ball.UPDATE 2: (posted 17-Feb 2018)Nessa went home to be with her creator on 22-Aug 2017. she was aged 12y 10m. I thank God for the wonderful companion she was to our family. I am also grateful that Simba is still alive and well today with nothing obviously wrong (he is 13y 3m old). He is such a faithful old boy

Why do cats sometimes bite as a means to show affection?

It’s probably a bit of crossing of wires in the brain and a confused effort to hug you. I am talking about a bite which is really more like a firm clasping of you and your flesh, not actually biting to penetrate the flesh.I had a guy I adopted as an older cat, and I think he had a bad life prior to us. He would grab us with his teeth. I recall I was initially taken off guard by this, but I almost instantly “knew” that whatever was making his do this, he meant no actual harm. He could have ripped flesh out of my hand, had he wanted to. But his demeanor seemed to be gentle and quiet. I just knew he meant no harm.We taught him to do other things. I began putting my head just in front of him and touching my nose to his. Sometimes I rubbed his face with mine. After a while he started doing this on his own.I recall my wife telling of a cat she loved for many years, who was a handful at times. One day while she was petting him, he lunged at her neck and drew blood. She wore high collars for a while, fearing that her father would put the cat to sleep. She was convinced that it was actually her fault. You may encourage this if you let your kitten wrestle with your hand. As the cat grows up, they just keep doing the game you taught them, and as they get bigger and stronger, they can do some damage. I do not think this is what is being talked about here, but it is certainly worth reviewing. People think kittens are so cute when they pounce on you, but as they get bigger, they don’t learn when too much is too much (Mama generally teaches them that). Always be wary of what the kitten is actually learning from what you are doing. You, after all, can reason — the kitten, not so much.

How Can I Calm My Hyper Kitten???

my 9 week old female kitten is so hyper...always jumping around on the sofa, and getting into anything! She thinks I'm her scratching post/chew toy. I don't provoke her either. How can I calm her down or is this a phase that'll eventually go away as she gets older?

she's fed well
she isn't sick

Why does my dog bite other dogs' ears?

There are 5 common reasons that should your dog may bite other dog’s earsDog possessiveness can cause dog bitesDog fear can cause dog bitesDog pain can cause dog bitesMaternal instincts can cause dog bitesPrey drive can cause dog bitesDog bite prevention begins at home with your own dog by being a responsible dog owner. If you do not intend to breed your dog then having them spayed or neutered will help decrease the risk of bite related behaviors. Exercise and play with your dog on a regular basis to reinforce the human-animal bond and to expend excess energy that might otherwise be directed towards nervous energy. Offer different chew toy, train your dog well, they should know the basic commands such as sit, stay, come and leave it. Don’t allow your dog to roam free where they can be a danger to other people. Do try to socialize your dog and expose him to many different people and situations but take care not to overwhelm him. Keep your vaccinations up to date for a worst case scenario. In most states a dog can be destroyed if they bite someone and they are not up to date on vaccines. Seek professional help from your veterinarian if your dog shows any signs of aggression. If you have children take the time to educate them on how to act around dogs, what to watch for and what to do if a dog attacks.

Why does my cat attack me when I'm sleeping?

sounds like your cat 'owns' your bed..in his mind...
my cat takes the front of his teeth & presses it against me if he wants to be petted, & if I ignore him, he'll open up his mouth & gently 'bite'...if I warn him against the bite, he'll give me 'that look' out of the corner of his eye...
also wakes me up in the morning by placing his paws on my side or back, if I don't get up to feed him, he'll push harder against me...he's 16.5#'s, not fat, just BIG...
your cat just doesn't like you moving in 'his' bed, it disturbs his sleep...& he's telling you to calm down;; cats get hyper with movements like this..it's the 'hunt' trigger...
cute little guy, he's not psycho, or horny, he's just a 'bed partner'...good thing he doesn't steal your covers...or does he??

I can't stand my border collie puppy.?

She has toys and a kong that we fill with food like peanut butter, but she gets tired of them quickly and goes back to something she shouldn't be eating like a hand or a chair.

Every time after I take a shower my cat gets excited and rubs frantically against my legs, nibbles and licks them and purrs. Is that a particular quirk of my cat or something normal in cat behaviour?

My two kittens do this (well, they are a year old now).  They follow me into the bathroom and hang out while I shower, and will even hop up on the rim. Then, when I get out and stand on the bath mat to towel off, they actually want to lick my legs and toes! Yes, they have water.  I think it's the scent thing.  I have to smell like a certain percentage of "she's my hyooman!" or they have to rub me.  I think the licking is a grooming thing and also a way to get close and leave scent.

Poodle itching, scratching, and biting constantly?

Our poodle has been itching, scratching, and biting himself for over a month now. I gave him a bath in medicated shampoo and it didnt do anything for him. His belly has red patches on it, and some of the hair has started to come off of the backs of his legs because he's biting so much. He does it and he'll whine and keep my sister up all night. I've told and told her to take him to the vet but she hasn't had much time to, and I don't either, but he's her responsibility. I'm sure it's not just 'dry skin' its worse than that...it's beyond bad, and it's getting annoying!

Does anyone have any idea what may be wrong with him and what we can do?
Please don't keep saying 'take him to the vet' because I know that, and we will as soon as we can, but we're trying to figure out what we can do for now. Thanks!
