My Right Eye Is Different Then The Left

My right eye feels different then my left eye what could be the problem?

There could be a change in prescription for that right eye (an example only), but I would recommend seeing your eye doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they say.

My eyesight on my left eye is different from my right eye, is that normal? Do i need glasses?

It means that both eyes are just slightly off the 20/20...but probably not enough to warrant getting glasses for yet.

What did the Dr. suggest ?

The Dr. examined you and knows exactly why you are 20/25, so he would be the best one to tell you.

How is my right eye different from my left eye?

when you take a picture of your face and look at it with a mirror on the middle of the nose dividing the face in two parts you can recognize that your face has a different expression and growth related differences loking at the left real combined with the left mirrorimage compared to the other match.when you draw a sircumfereence of the hands on either side of a papersheet and do the same for your feet you can recognize the differnces in your extremities toowe are not growing up congruently and absolute equaly in sizethe hand that you use for heavy lifting primarily will have more muscle and so will your arm

My right eye looks different from my left eye. What's the problem?

I would like to assure you that it isn't a serious medical issue, if you aren't facing pain, watering, redness of either eyes and any other symptoms.Don't worry and visit your nearest Ophthalmologist or Optometrist for a detailed eye examination.Take care :)

My eyes are different sizes when i smile?

okay, i always turn out bad in pictures because of my eyes. I always thought it was my left one because my eyebrow kinda goes up and gives it a nice arch, but the other one would stay down. It always bothers me, then i did some "investigating" and i noticed that my right eye is the problem! There is one part of my upper lid / crease that cover a bit of the lid near my tear duct (but on the top of my eye) and in the pictures i take, i look stupid because its like a lazy eye, yet appears bigger than my left one. Plus my eyebrow is "lazy" too. It doesnt go up like my othrr so i end up looking stupid :'(. How do i fix this? What is wrong? Im only 15 so i cant do surgery or anything.. Thanks!

My right eye power is 5.0 and the left eye is 0.25. Why is this huge difference in the optical power?

It's not particularly unusual for the two eyes to be different. Sometimes one is perfect and the other needs correction. Sometimes one is nearsighted while the other is farsighted.

I don't know why it happens. Seems that refraction errors are due to differential growth -- the lens doesn't grow the same amount as the eyeball behind it. So in a case of two eyes being different from each other, it would appear that one eye has a developmental mismatch that the other doesn't.

Why does my eye power differ from left eye to right eye?

Anything that you have two of in your body are not equal. Like your two hands, one must be stronger than the other, even your ears. You can hear more clearly than the other. Similarly, your eyes. The acuity of eyes of the same person are different. Again, there is a lot more to this answer. If interested? Ask.

If you are right eye dominant, what happens with your left eye?

Well, if you are right-handed, what happens to your left hand? Nothing! It doesn’t fall off, and it is still very useful for most tasks (except maybe writing). It may not be as strong (muscularly) as the right hand, but then it isn’t given as much work to do.The eyes are very similar. The image from the dominant eye is the one the brain pays most attention to. That doesn’t mean that the non-dominant eye is necessarily weaker. In fact, good stereoscopic (3-D) vision needs the image from the non-dominant eye. The non-dominant eye usually has vision equivalent to the dominant eye in terms of Snellen score (20/20, 6/6, etc.). Yes, there are exceptions to that statement, like amblyopia, but let’s assume we are discussing the average healthy set of eyes. When a person loses the vision in the dominant eye (ex. through disease, trauma, etc.) the other eye takes over quite nicely. The same can be said for the hands. A right-handed person who loses that hand will eventually be able to write, and do other critical tasks with the left hand.Just a “fun fact” - It’s easy to test yourself for eye dominancy . What would happen if i put my right contact in my left eye and left contact in my right eye?

If you have a different prescription for your eyes, you should be able to tell based on whether your vision is blurry or not. It won't cause damage to your eye if you accidentally put in the wrong contact, but wearing the wrong prescription for an extended period of time could damage your sight in the long run. If your vision is ok with your contacts in, you should have nothing to worry about.

Why do people have more power in their left eye than right eye?

Just because human body in not symmetrical, that mean our half left body is not 100% similar to our right half. Some people works from their left hand and some from their right hand. It is because our brain is not symmetrical. There can be issue with refractive error but it is not so common. Also if you think that you have refractive error issue then you should consult with an eye specialist as this can be treated. or Visit - Eye Specialist for Refractive Error in Gurgaon - Dr. Digvijay Singh
