My Science Fair Question Is Which Drink Will Pop More With Poprocks How Do I Start A Conclusion For

Which  freezes faster, sugar water or salt water? science  project

Assuming you neglect hydratization-energy of sodium chloride, 1 mole of sugar or 0.5 mole of sodium chloride have the same effect in the same amount of water. The only difference is the WEIGHT!The freezing point depression does not depend on the quality but on the quantity of an impurity. 0.5 mole NaCl results in 0.5 mole Na(+) and 0.5 mole Cl(-). Together this is one mole of impurity. Same as one mole of sugar!

Does this science essay based on the article, "Can We Know the Universe" by Carl Sagan sound good?

Without some courage, how are you able to explore and ask in order to learn new knowledge? Also, with courage you’re able to risk some things to gain other things or perhaps get even more than you initially thought. I don’t think science is necessarily about finally getting to the point where you think you’ve answered the question you were assigned or have finally finished a project, but more based on the process you got there and the things that worked or didn’t work. I think those pieces of information are more valuable than the fact that you finished a project or answered the science question assigned because those are the pieces of information that you can reflect on and pass forward to others that could helpful. It’s more about how you take those pieces of information and apply them to other experiences or experiments. Just as Carl Sagan started his article, “Science is a way of thinking much more than it is a body of knowledge”, I think that science isn’t just about that knowledg

Why do plastic bottles shrink when supplied with hot water and pop open when kept in a freezer?

Two reasons describing different effects.Sufficiently hot water will shrink a plastic bottle, because the bottles are a thermoplastic. When heated to a certain point, the plastic becomes more plastic, and will deform. This can be seen as shrinking. Also, it's chemical makeup is that of a complex polymer, so it's likely folding onto itself when heated as well. The reason why water put in a freezer will pop the top is because water expands when it freezes. At a point, it has nowhere to expand to. When this happens, Pascal’s Law tells us that a contained liquid under pressure will exert even pressure on all sides. The water is under pressure because it's volume is increasing in a closed container. The top comes off because it is the weakest point of the container, and so, acts as a pop off valve.Hooray for physics and chemistry!

Which process would most effectively separate two liquids with different molecular polarities?

They should have different boiling points, so distillation.

If they have different densities, a separator funnel

Thesis Statement: Pearl Harbor?

I am writing an essay in my language arts class describing the event of Pearl Harbor. We have begun to write Working Outlines (Like a rough draft of the outline; Not the final copy; But it needs to be turned in for a grade). One part of the Working Outline is the Introduction where I need to write my thesis statement.
The problem is, I don't fully understand what a thesis statement is. My idea of a thesis statement would be something along the lines of a main idea of the entire report. It introduces the topic, gives an idea of what will be covered in the essay, and introduces sub points.
The way I'm writing my essay, however, covers the whole event of Pearl Harbor. I'm covering arising problems between the United States and Japan, the attack itself, detail on the injuries to battleships, heroes of Pearl Harbor, and I'll mention how Pearl Harbor influenced the involvement of U.S. troops in World War II. I'm just not sure how to word it.
One of my testing thesis statements is:
Battleships that had once stood tall now rested at the bottom of the harbor along with the bodies of thousands of service men who had fought faithfully and fiercely during the fateful attack on Pearl Harbor, "a day which will live in infamy."
Would this be a good thesis statement, or is it more of the conclusion. If it IS a conclusion, how can I rewrite it to form it as an introductory sentence, too.
