My Shoes Wedges Scratch Me. Help

Any methods to repair scuffs/scratches black patent leather yourself?

I read this article the other day in order to scrutinize, edit and post in my fashion blog. She has some good tips although I think you answered your question yourself in a way. You've stated that they are your favorite pair, then why would you not take it to a shoe repair? My favorite pairs I don't even polish or condition myself, I leave it to a pro, I dont mess around when it comes to zapatas, neither should you girl.
But here is the article, I learned a little from it myself.

Can I replace the leather peeling off my shoes?

If the leather is peeling off, you likely have bonded leather shoes, where a piece of leather is glued to something much easier to work with (like poly or nylon). You CAN have the area pulled off, and have a skilled leatherworker  recontruct the area, but more likely than not it'll be almost as expensive as having a new custom shoe made. So the answer is yes, but unless you have some sort of emotional connection to the shoe and a wad of cash you want to devote to saving them, it's probably not worth it. PS You can try to repair it yourself by using a leather repair kit, and a colorant kit. But unless you have the know how, it'll be a pricy experiment that will probably look worse than peeling leather.

Can you use leather shoe polish on black suede shoes?

What is SuedeNormal leathers are rubbed against a kind of Sandpaper to produce fine texture which feels like some kind of wool. The top surface as such has no grainy top layer [as it has been scrapped off]. So Suede as a leather is a delicate material and it needs protection against dust, rain/water and any kind of stain. How To Take Care of it?Use a neutral Suede spray before stepping out. The spray creates a kind of protective layer on top of the shoe which protects the shoe against dust and to lesser extent against water as well.PolishPolish on these is strict no; the wooly part is not designed to handle waxy polish; attempting to polish is like attempting to destroy it. Get a neutral suede spray and use it - the shine will get restored to some level. And take care of these somewhat delicate shoes - using these in rainy conditions etc is a bad idea. Liquid and any kind of stain can hurt this.Trust This Helps!

My shoe bites the back of my ankle. What should I do?

Avoid It:Treat your new shoes before you wear them the first time -·        Applying petroleum jelly inside the shoe and leaving it overnight helps soften the insides that might cause the shoe to bite. Rub it with a cloth before wearing. ·        Apply coconut or castor oil inside the shoes and leave them for three days to soften them before you slip them on. ·        Apply some raw potato slices inside the shoe and particularly the heel area. Repeat for two nights before wearing your new shoes. Minimize the damage/other precautions·        Cover the area of your feet most prone to bites with a band-aid or simply apply cotton and stick it with a tape. ·        Rub talcum powder or candle wax on the rough area/area causing the bite. ·        Try rubbing clean the sewing lines and edges with damp cloth. ·        Cut toenails and make sure they don't scrape the insides of the shoe.

How many pairs of shoes do you own?

own around 35 pairs. Im 24.

But only need like 10 because Ive a distinct weather climate. Humid summer, harsh winters and mild springs/falls. Like 1 winter boots, 1 short fall boots, 1 dress boots, 1 wedge booties for my flared jeans, 1 sneakers for casual wear, 1 walking shoes when my legs/feets are injured (get backache), 2 sandals in rotation during summer,1 pair of nicer flats and 1 pair of pumps.

I LOVE shoes and love having variety with my outfits, but if my economy were tighter or if I needed to build the wardrobe from scratch, I could push down my wardrobe to 4 pairs. Boots for winter, flats for summer/spring, 1 pair of pumps and sneakers/walking shoes! :P

Most of my shoes are bought from bargain hunting, some costed just 5 or 10£. All of my dressier shoes and heels costed less than 40£. The only shoes I spurge on are walking shoes and boots because I was born with a childhood foot injury and need high quality shoes for everyday wear --- or else the shoes will break apart withing a few month. Shoes like uggs and stilettos are also shoes I cant wear very well due to the foot injury, (high arch and the feets are twisted inwards slightly, I walk inwards with my feets sometimes :'/).

Why does my right shoe scuff more and wear out faster than my left shoe?

Shoe pattern wears in accordance to how you walk. Foot pronation and your walking gait. Being pigeon toed aka in-toeing or out-toeing.It could also be the kind of footwear you are using. If you need higher arch, stiffer heel, cushion heel and a little wedge to give your posture some help. If your shoe's are not supporting you well enough, you are going to get wear and tare differently on both shoe's.You can go to an athletic store that works with running and the sale of different athletic shoes. A store like this will have you walk on their machine and it will tell them about your walk.

How do I spot fake Gucci shoes?

Gucci shoes are some of the most widely imitated shoes on the market. Before buying a pair of Gucci shoes online, make sure that you are not accidentally investing in a fake. Browse the guidelines below for tips on how to avoid a cheap imitation of the Gucci brand. What to look for on the inside of a genuine Gucci shoe: Each authentic Gucci shoe is given an eight digit serial number that is stamped on the shoe's leather lining. All serial numbers are exactly eight digits long, so count before you buy! This serial number should be discreet; it is usually placed on the inside of the shoe next to the shoe size. The "Gucci" brand should be stamped inside the shoe on the heel. Next to the brand name should be a stamp saying "Made in Italy". Both of these stamps should be easily visible. As always, make sure that the stamps have been applied in a quality manner (i.e., they are well aligned, the brand name is spelled correctly, etc.). A genuine designer shoe will almost never cover up the designer name, so if for some reason the "Gucci" stamp is cut off or obscured, chances are the shoe is a fake. Finally, Gucci shoes are lined with leather. The vendor of a genuine Gucci shoe will be aware of this fact. What to look for on the sole of a genuine Gucci shoe: The sole of an authentic Gucci shoe should be leather. Again, an honest vendor should be able to easily answer any of these sorts of questions. In fact, a good way to test the waters if you are suspicious is to ask a series of detailed questions regarding the shoes you want to buy (make sure you know the correct answers!) and then see how your vendor responds. The soles of Gucci shoes vary with gender. Women's Gucci shoes will have the words "Gucci" and "Made in Italy" stamped on the bottom of the shoe. A man's Gucci shoe may be stamped, or it may have a silver plate engraved with the brand name. What to look for in the packaging of a genuine Gucci shoe: Genuine Gucci shoes usually come in dark brown dust bags. The bags are printed with the "double G" logo. The shoebox is also a dark brown and should have the word "Gucci" embossed on its lid. The lettering should be silver.

My new shoes are slippery, how can I make them NOT slippery?

Light sandpaper on the soles

Why do bowling alleys require you to wear bowling shoes?

Bowling shoes (as long as they are worn only while bowling) protect the approaches and the bowlers. The last step that a bowler takes before releasing the ball is actually a slide - the whole body is moving forward as the ball is released. Bowling shoes have a sole that allows this type of slide. If you wear ordinary tennis shoes, you won't slide, and you'll be putting a tremendous amount of strain on your shoulder.Furthermore, the slide requires a clean approach (the reason why bowling centers don't allow food and drink in the approach area). If you wear street shoes, you're bringing in dirt from the outside, and that dirt deposited on the approach can lead to either sticks or slips, both of which increase the bowler's risk of injury. You should remove your bowling shoes whenever you use the restrooms or go into the bar area, for the same reason.
