My Sincere Request To All Be Sincere For Lock-in -period In Any Investment

Summer house and uninvited guests?

My hubby and I just bought a weekend house by the beach. I am starting to get annoyed by the fair weather friends who just call to see what I am doing this weekend to stop on by. One is very close, my aunt....who is the materialistic type. Type who would marry for money..anyway she never stops by our other house, but now always wants to know what we are doing on the weekend and proceed to invite herself over. How do we get the message across that I just want to spend time with my husband and daughter. I don't want to justify my actions to her. Because there are many rooms, she actually thought we would give her one (because we have a grandparents room). Like she pays our mortgage...whatever! She called today because this weekend is projected to be nice weather (last weeks was crappy weather...but she already made plans). Sincere or witty advice is appreciated. I could use a laugh because I am pissed.

What’s a good time to invest into Bitcoin?

Best time is TODAY. NOW.Remember they are limited and right now doing even better. More investors bought last week, it is about to rise again which is an advantage to new buyers as well because the price will be rising again.Do not forget to invest only in not just well known platforms, but platforms which are well known for reliability and stability such as Bitconnect (BCC). I have been an investor of several platforms but by far, I have been getting best returns from BCC, At least based on my experience. Also, Demand for bitcoins has been skyrocketing in Asia. FYI, Bitcoin has performed extremely well in 2017, up more than 200% year-to-date as I write this. Even more significantly, the digital currency is becoming more widely accepted around the world. So, it may seem like a good idea to buy some bitcoin while it's still in the early stages as part of your retirement investing strategy or if you should consider this a long term wealth building strategy. For starters you can visit this website.

What kind of jobs are there for Americans in Buenos Aires? Or American jobs that might place you there?

My girlfriend and I want to move to Buenos Aires for a year or two to have a little fun before we get locked down by our careers. We were wondering what kind of American jobs there are that would place us in, or that we could do from, Buenos Aires. That way, we'd be able to be paid in dollars, while living in Buenos Aires.

I've been running a small IT company in New York for a few years and my girlfriend has worked as a staff writer for several major magazines. She was thinking she could do some kind of freelance writing (maybe travel writing) or something of that nature.

A job for me--I'm not so sure though. I have a lot of computer knowledge from running my IT company, and am looking for something that would be more freelance if possible. I'm very flexible and entrepreneurial, my spanish just isn't good enough to run any kind of business in Buenos Aires. Any thoughts? Any field is fine--it's just temporary to pay for our fun!

From what I've found, it seems we need about $2000 (US) a month to get by comfortably and we were trying to figure out what kind of work we could find to support us there without working a 5 day 9 to 5 job.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME!!

What are the best forex trading courses?

Firstly, I would like to appreciate your thinking to take proper education and then jump on trading, which actually is better than to directly start trading. Most of the traders start taking live trades to become quickly rich and constitute those 80-90% who regularly loose, sometimes wipe out their accounts, in Forex trading. If you seriously want to take proper Forex educational course, together with LIVE exposure, (just on a DEMO basis), you might like to have a look at this link:https://admiralmarkets.com/educa...

With so many financial experts telling consumers that index funds consistently beat individual stock portfolios, why do so many financial advisors put their clients' money in individual stocks? Is this is a way to lock-in clients, and make it difficult (without trading costs/cap gains) to move?

As others have explained many financial advisors feel the need to justify their high advisory fees by pursuing investment strategies that have a chance to outperform the market. Unfortunately that is extremely hard to do these days. It’s very hard to justify advisory fees that are greater than or equal to 1% when managing a portfolio of index funds that only charge 0.1% annually. In this video, investment legend Charlie Ellis explains why it was possible to outperform the market 30 years ago and why it is extremely hard to do today. Unfortunately many financial advisors are still operating as though times have not changed.

Does paying people to ask questions through partner program goes against the mission of Quora?

What’s Quora's Mission Statement?Quora's mission is to share and grow the world's knowledge. In the ideal scenario, users would simply plug in their brains and upload their knowledge. There is a lot of information that users like you and me have that we don’t really have the means to share. Quora was build to facilitate that knowledge transfer. One of the best ways is through prompts. There are times where questions pop up and your reaction, Hey, I happen to have the unique life experience to answer that questions should trigger you to answer that question. For other people (like the OP in this case), they are motivated by trying to help out another user. By answering a question, they are under the assumption that they are helping someone out. But that someone could be anyone! There isn’t any reason why the person who asked the question should be the only beneficiary of that information.Quora isn’t paying people to be interested in your answer. Quora is paying people to write interesting prompts. The questions that the people you’re trying to help haven’t yet had the capability or the drive to form. In many ways, the people asking these questions are helping those interested in the question as much as the people who provide the answer. Without a prompt, there is not space for that knowledge to exist. Thus, the Quora Partner Program is very much in alignment with Quora’s mission. There is knowledge that isn’t being shared. The Quora Partners write the questions that users who need the information haven’t figured out how to ask.

What does the phrase "good luck with your future endeavors" mean?

It's an example of what is called boilerplate text. Boilerplate text is used to convey routine types of information. This exact phrase could be described as a polite way “to tell someone off.” In other words, they are telling you to have success in whatever it is that you will do next other than working with them because you and its author are having a parting of ways.“Good luck in your future endeavors" can have either positive or negative implications, depending on your relationship with the sender. If sent by HR where you were just fired, the implication is your future endeavors will not be in that previous employer’s place. ‘Good luck and don’t return seeking additional work opportunities.’If instead this is a statement made with a broad smile and a firm handshake by someone with whom you probably have a good relationship, it's actually a compliment, albeit it a rather weak one.More likely, however, it is not an especially sincere goodbye (unless the speaker feels like they don’t really know you well enough to make it more personal and favorable). An example of a more personal and favorable way to say goodbye to a good coworker is, "I've really enjoyed working with you. All the best in whatever you do from here on. You have my contact info. Please stay in touch!"If instead all you got was the boilerplate about which you asked, I think it's pretty clear that whoever sent or said it was trying to appear to be polite or formal, but not particularly complimentary, unless they said other things more like the example in the previous paragraph.Because the termination of employment situation can be very traumatic for the person leaving, people are very careful what they say. They may simply say the boilerplate thing because that's all they can think of to say (and they don’t want to pile more on top of the criticism just levied by the firing manager). Finally, this boilerplate is typical of what you get in what is called a "rejection letter" after a job application failed to produce a request for you to interview in person or by telephone, or they interviewed you and did not offer you the job. Try not to assign any emotional content to a phrase like that. It's just boilerplate. In the current economy, many employers don't even bother to send a polite rejection letter to applicants whom they reject. They expect you to “take a hint.”The reason for that is they don't want to answer endless questions from rejected applicants.

Can "skeptics", unlike Republican Congressmen, at least admit that the planet is warming?

Congressional Democrats have tried to add a few science-related amendments to the Republican bill attempting to revoke the EPA's authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions. One amendment from Waxman merely states that global warming is happening:

"Congress accepts the scientific finding of the Environmental Protection Agency that 'warming of the climate system is unequivocal, as is now evident from observations of increases in global average air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of snow and ice, and rising global average sea level"

Every single Republican on the Energy and Commerce Committee (31) voted against this, and every other science-related amendment. They can't even acknowledge that the planet is warming.

Do global warming "skeptics" agree with this position? How do you feel about Congressional Republicans refusing to admit that the planet is warming?
