My Sister Hears Voices And The Voices Are Telling Her Bad Things To Do To Her Self

My sister is hearing voices and seeing things, please should i tell my parents?

Schizophrenic isn't associated with actually seeing people! She may be hallucinating, or they could be ghosts. Have you asked her what these people look like?Do they have identities I know it's a really scary thing to think, but she could be over paranoid too and it sounds like she is experiencing a lot of anxiety as well.

Does she know what is causing this? I think she really needs professional help. Tell your mom again, tell her your worried and you care about your sister.

I hope that she's ok. Coz i had a friend with schizophrenia and he had to go to some jail of a nut house. But it doesn't sound all schizophrenic to me. She needs to be seen by professional help and if your mom is willing to leave her, then it will only become worse..

Please your beg your mom to look inside her heart and get help.
Sometimes people do stupid things because they believe that these voices told them too. It can result in suicide or even murdering someone.

She needs to get help. FAST!

I hear voices in my head telling me to do evil things like murder or other things. When I answer those voices, I get a reply. I feel like I'm going crazy. What can I do?

Remember, the voices are coming from within you. So the answers are coming from within you too. Don’t talk to them in response, or try to maintain confidence. One phrase that works for me is actually a quote from Labyrinth. Whenever I hear the man in my head talking to me and commanding me to do things (you’re experiencing command hallucinations) I tell him, either mentally or out loud ““you have no power over me.” See a psychiatrist and ask if they can prescribe you either an antipsychotic or another mood stabilizer like lithium. Personally, antipsychotics didn’t work for me because my hallucinations kept coming back, but for most people they work. Lithium works for me, and I’m at only a moderate dose. I also see a therapist weekly to discuss stressors, which cause my hallucinations, so I manage my stress to keep the hallucinations away. This may not be the case if you have a schizophrenia spectrum disorder, as these are not rooted in anxiety. I haven’t been diagnosed with a schizophrenia spectrum disorder, I have severe OCD and Asperger’s which makes me psychotic. Good luck to you, I hope you find a form of treatment!

My little sister hears voices in her head?

i have a 11 yr old sister that has been hearing voices in her head. its happened 4 times now and she says a little girls voice tells her to get out the house repeatedly. she cries when its happening because she get scared, she told us after the 2nd time it happend and didn't want to let us know because she said she thought we think she was lying or was crazy. we can all be having dinner as a family having fun and than it happens to her. she also told us that shes tried to ask the little girls voice who she is and she gets no answer. what does this mean and what should i do? im really worried about her and don't want her to end up having a mental illness. shes an A student and shes a sweet girl, could this be caused by stress? or is she an indigo child?

My sister claims that voices in her head are telling her to kill her family and herself. My parents think she's lying. What should we do?

DO NOT TAKE HER COMMENTS LIGHTLY.   If you cannot get your parents to have her evaluated by a psych professional, find SOMEONE who has the power to do so--a school counselor, a teacher you both know and YOU trust, another family member. She may be seeking attention, but even after 25 years' experience in working with the profoundly mentally ill, it's not easy to distinguish command hallucinations from attention seeking behavior.   Even if she's not hearing voices, teenagers who talk about killing their families and themselves ARE the ones who do it.   You don't want to take this risk.   She is at least profoundly depressed and/or angry.   Teachers, counselors, doctors, and nurses are MANDATED REPORTERS in most states.  That is, if they know something is very wrong in a child's life, they MUST report it to the agency that handles child welfare in your state.   They'll remain anonymous, as you will.   You can tell your parents that not only "emo" kid wannabes have this kind of taste in hobbies and music, but also nearly ALL the adolescents on inpatient units.   She's taking it far beyond normal "I hate my parents/No one understands me except my friend" by talking about voices and killing people.   My daughter went through her emo phase 10 years ago, and it was life-sucking to live through.  She's out of that tunnel now and back to real life.   Find SOMEONE to tell, if you cannot convince your parents.   Child welfare agencies also have hot lines, on which you can remain anonymous.   My daughter and I agree now that middle school truly sucked, and now I can agree with her that most of her teachers were idiots.   The school counselor didn't know what OCD was.   She also didn't know the difference between a colander and a calendar, but that's another story.   To say nothing of the horrors of classmates. You're a brave and very intelligent sibling not to want to let your parents ignore it.   My highest praise to you.   It's easier to ignore than deal with, but the consequences can be terrible.

What happens when you tell your therapist you hear voices??

What can they do I know therapists cannot perscribe drugs even if i do need them I do not want them. If you go to a psychologist what do they do? i mean test wise???

My friend has a voice in her head that tells her to do bad things to herself and to kill herself. What do I do?

Get her somewhere safe! You immediately contact the hospital or her parents if she’s a minor and get her some professional help! Hearing voices can be anything from an organic brain issue, to a virus, to something more serious like schizophrenia. This is not something that should be messed with or wait around to see what will happen. The best way to be a good friend is to make sure she’s safe, her family knows, and get her some immediate help. I pray you all find some help soon and that they take it seriously!

What's wrong with my sister? She talks to herself and hears voices in her head, often says she sees things.

She is possibly experiencing audio and visual hallucinations, of which both can be symptoms of schizophrenia. The earlier it is treated, the better, so I would highly recommend you take your sister to the relevant health professional ASAP. In the UK this would be a GP in the first instance who would then refer on to a mental health professional, more than likely a psychiatrist for a thorough assessment.Experiencing sounds and visions that are not real can be very disturbing and traumatic for the sufferer and close people around them. It becomes particularly ‘risky’ if the voices and/or the visions start telling the sufferer to do things that puts either themselves or others at risk. Risk of harm further increases if the sufferer has high conviction in their belief that these experiences are real and that they should follow the commands of the voices.Usually, unreal experiences like this and the development of delusional beliefs stems from some kind of stressor or disress in someone’s life and it is kind of like a coping mechanism. The brain trying to make sense of something that perhaps in reality doesn’t make sense to the sufferer. It is also related to increased dopamine in the brain. Medication she may be prescribed will work by reducing the action of dopamine with the aim of reducing the unreal experiences and abnormal perceptual experiences.Drugs and alcohol can cause or worsen these types of symptoms so it is worth knowing whether she has or is taking any drugs or if she has been drinking (I’m unsure how old your sister is, but it is an important factor to be considered). Sometimes abnormal perceptual experiences and delusions can be directly caused by certain drugs (illegal drugs and/or legal highs) even once the effects of the drug has long worn off.In any case I would strongly recommend you seek the professional help your sister needs in order to prevent worsening of the symptoms and to manage any risks of harm.

My sister told me that she sees ghosts and hears voices. Is it possible that she has schizophrenia?

I think she needs help before she does something crazy. I know all about Schizophrenia. I know people who have it and, it is worse than Depression or Bipolar Disorder. I recommend having her put on Respiridone to control her thoughts. I also think that she needs to know what is going on. I think that therapy is crucial. I would take her to emergency as soon possible. I can tell you from experience with a former friend that it's hard when do not or prefer not to get help before it's too late.I would think that with proper care she can be stable. I am not sure what they will prescribe but if she is put on Respiridone she can be helped. I was always considered Scizophrenic but I suffer from Depression. I feel your pain but getting help asap is vital to her survival and, her being able to function. I know it's hard but once she gets treatment she can be helped. I also know that you need to careful with respect to getting proper advice but ask questions and, interview the therapist to make sure he/she is the proper medical advisor for your sisters condition. I wish you all the best.

Is it bad if I hate the sound of my sister's voice?

It's really all a mind game and that goes for all of life. Your mind is reacting and telling you she can't sing etc and how you hate it.
Well tell yourself
1. Her singing makes you happy because it makes her happy.
2. That you like her singing.
Now that is a lie but try it because most of the time or mind tells us lies anyway so give it a lie back.
3. Observe your reaction to her voice each time she sings and wait for her to sing in anticipation do that you can try this attention to yourself as an exercise. In fact is a great opportunity
4. Just ignore it.
5. Just imagine if something had happened to your sister you would never hear that voice again.

Dwell on and see the positive or the negative will self perpetuate and make you feel worse.

would have been good to get your ages.
