Still traumatized after hearing my parents have sex?
24 hours ago I heard my parents having sex (the bed creaking and a lot of banging). Right now I'm still crying my eyes out and I feel scared to go to sleep tonight. It's the first time I've heard them because I'm thirteen. After I heard them last night I went up to my room and had a little cry and when it had stopped my mom came in asking me what's wrong, I just told her to go away several times until she asked if they'd done something to upset me which sounded like she knew I'd heard them. I was talking about a bedroom in some house I'd seen online and my parents exchanged glances and my mom gave me a sort of look. I don't know what to do, I don't want to confront them because it would be too embarrassing. Please help because I've been thinking about it all day and its freaking me out :(
I'm traumatized after watching this video. Help?!?
So I'm sure many of you have heard of the story about Luka Magnotta, the "Canadian Psychopath" as many people call him. Well as you all know, he was the person behind Jun Lin's murder and dismemberment. He recorded the murder and posted it online for people to watch. WELL. Out of curiosity, I watched it. I shouldn't have. Because now, I am truly scarred for life. Ever since I watched the video, I am always zoned out. Earlier today I had a panick attack, which I have never had before. I feel like everything around me wasn't real and the people surrounding me were dead people. I don't know, it's weird. That video really got me. I'm not like this. I'm a happy person. I don't just panick for no reason. I think I'm going insane. What do you guys think I should do??? Btw I'm 18. I've heard and seen many messed up stories, but this is by far, the worst one. Oh and I forgot to add one more thing. The website I went on had many disturbing images about beh3adings and crushed bodies. Which also scarred me. So please, any psychologist out there, or anyone. Please help me!!!
What are some traumatic things that could happen to child?
I'm writing a story and my character has experienced a lot of mental trauma as a child, which may be the cause of physical/mental/emotional abuse or loss of some sort. be creative! i just want some good ideas to help spark my fire. so what are severely traumatic things a child might witness? list everything you can think of!
Ever heard of this kind of birth defect?
My cousin is pregnant. She's really upset so I haven't gotten to talk to her. My mother spoke to her mother who was really upset so she can't get much out of her either. They were told that her baby has a heart defect. It is missing a valve? and may possibly have Down Syndrome. I don't know what the defect is called just that it has a missing valve and I don't know which one. Anyone know anythign about this? And what is likelyhood baby will survive?
Can extreme psychological trauma cause someone to go mute?
I once knew a guy who accidentally put the blade of a circular saw into his kid’s head, after he’d switched it off and turned around to set it down, not having any idea that his 2 year old stood quietly by his elbow, watching his daddy cut plywood.The little boy’s mom stood at the top of the basement stairs, watching the entire grisly nightmare, also not having any idea anything bad could come of a little boy watching his daddy cut plywood.She screamed so loud at the horrific nightmare, she made herself (psychologically) deaf.Years later, when they had another baby, as soon as the baby cried, instantly her ‘deafness’ ceased. She suddenly was able to hear the cries of her newborn.Totally a different answer than ‘can someone go mute’, but after all- total deafness is harder to fake than muteness. And if someone can go completely deaf from extreme psychological trauma, of course they can go mute.(That kid’s death became a cautionary tale all my kids grew up hearing. All 6 of them knew to NEVER approach me from behind while I was using a circular saw, because even after the trigger is released, the saw is still screaming too loud to hear anyone come up from behind. And more terrifyingly, even after it’s off, the blade is still spinning fast enough to kill a person of the right height.)
