My Tattoo Is Shiny And Wrinkly

Shiny wrinkly tattoo.?

okay so I just recently fixed my tattoo that's on my wrist its been abt a week and 2 days, and it pealed pretty fast, but the problem is that it looks shiny and extremly wrinkly! the shading in it is a pink and you could see I have patched were the skin isn't colored in. im thinking the guys who did it scarred me, so will it always be this wrinkly? and if I get it a darker color will it look better? any one with good advices post a comment up!
and should I still be putting a&d?

Tattoo is wrinkly and shiny after 7 days?

What you're seeing is the "brand new skin" after the old skin fell off (think of the skin you see after you skin your knee and the scab falls off). You likely didn't notice it before with others if they're not as large as the newest one.

It's no longer an open wound, you don't need to wash it that often and you're just drying the skin out at this point.

How to make my tattoo stop being shiny ad wrinkly?

Hey so I got a 2 tattoos. I got one 20 days ago it healed and its slightly shiny and wrinkly and my other tattoo I got about two weeks ago its really shiny and wrinkly please I need help!! I need a serious answer how do I make it stop shiny and wrinkly

Why does my tattoo look wrinkled and shiny?

Yea as said before it's just because it's new. You know how when you have a scab all the skin around it is SUPER tight and sometimes shiny. That's the case. It's a fresh scab basically. It will look like a scab until it's fully healed.

Just lotion up after the 3rd week or so and you'll be fine.

PS. AQUAPHOR is the best! Too few people use it.

Aquaphor's company also makes Eucerine lotion which REALLY brings out the color in tattoos.

My new tattoo is shiny and wrinkly, do I continue using A&D or unscented lotion?

Username is correct - A&D should only be used for the first 2-3 days. Because it is petroleum based, it will eventually start to pull out the color. Use any brand non-scented lotion on your tattoo. The shiny part is ok, that's the last stages of the healing. The wrinkly part is not ok, that means your tattoo is dry. Your healing tattoo should never be dry if you want it to look good. Keep it moisturized, but make sure to let it breathe by rubbing the lotion all the way in. Use lotion on it several times a day (so it won't dry out) until it is completely healed. Once it's completely healed you should still use lotion on it at least a few times a week - it's best to apply the lotion after you shower.
Good luck.

My tattoo is kind of shiny and wrinkled.. is this normal?

Yes as long as your not using too much lotion or ointment, that is normal and part of the healing process. You should still be following your after care instructions (for about 2 more weeks) until the shine it looks like skin, your tattoo is not yet fully healed.

My tattoo looks wrinkled and a little bit shiny on some parts. Is this normal or should I worry?

the shiny part is the last part of the healing process. Once the scab comes off there is a filmy layer underneath, which is the last layer of dead skin. It will probably look a little washed out and faded too through this last layer, but give it another week or so and it will just look and feel like the rest of your skin again once this layer dissapears. I agree with the other girl though 6 times a day is a little excessive, just lotion twice a day and then again if it looks/feels dry inbetween.

MY TATTOO IS WRINKLED AFTER 3 WEEKS?

MY TATTOO IS WRINKLED WHEN I BEND MY ARM? PLEASE HELP!?
OK, im gonna try to explain what my tattoo looks like as best i can.
I got it done in May of this year and it looked wrinkled for about 4 months. I went back to the tattoo parlor and got a touch up. He said that this would help take care of what it looked like.
My tattoo is on the lower part of my arm (the top, on the opposite side of my elbow) Im african american and my tattoo is 4 letters in black. It looks wrinkled, a LITTLE bumpy. It only looks good when i stretch out my arm, but when i bend it, it looks very bad and looks like theres lines in the tattoo that were not in my skin when i first got it done. I feel like from my angle it looks good when i really strech out my hand but from other peoples view its shiny and wrinkled.
Its not itchy or red.

its been 3 weeks since i got the touch up
but PLEASE tell me if this is normal. Its shiny but i know that will go away im just scared that its goona look like it did when i first got it done. I used A&D for the first week and now im using non scented lubriderm.

is this normal?????

How long will my tattoo be shiny? It has been 6 days since I got it. It has scabbed and peeled off, and it still looks shiny. Why is that?

That’s totally fine. The tattoo is actually still healing( the tattoo as a whole and the skin wont be fully healed for at least a couple of months) and that shiny layer is new skin which will become dry depending on you. That shininess may last a week so( such as my case). After the tattoo will look cloudy which is also normal in the final healing process.

Why is my tattoo wrinkled? Normal?

I got my tattoo exactly 2 weeks ago (Saturday) on my left wrists of 3 initials in black ink. The first week, it peeled, so as far as I know, it's done with the scabbing/flaking/peeling process.

However, yesterday (Friday), I noticed after my shower that my tattoo appeared to be wrinkly and a bit shiny with a thin layer over it that resembles fresh skin scar tissue.

I wanted to know if this is normal or not? Before yesterday, if I ran my fingers along my wrist, it all felt evened out. But now when I run my fingers over it, it feels a bit wrinkly/bumpy.

Advice please? Thanks P.S- This is my first tattoo
