The canker sore could of been from salty foods you had been eating lately. Canker sores are NOT affliated with herpes so you are okay. Canker sores (if you were diagnosed with it as a canker sore) is NOT a STD! BTW, whatever food coloring you eat and drink, your mouth will have the dye in it as well. So, trust me, I DRINK orange juice everyday (I am addicted to it) and my tongue is always yellow/orange till I brush my teeth and tongue and then it lightens up back to the original color after a day or two. YOU DON'T HAVE ORAL CANCER.

everytime I wake up from sleep, I take a spoon and scrape on my tongue, and I see a thick yellow stuff that comes off my tongue. it smells like shlt, and i dont even wanna know what it tastes like. but what is it? and sometimes I cough up little yellow solid pieces of...stuff, that comes out of my throat. they're small solid little things, that smell like rotten teeth, and when I feel them with my fingers they fall apart and release a very foul odour.

I smoke both as well and used to have the same problem. The cause of the yellow gunk- It's actually normal plaque buildup on your tongue, made of saliva, food particles, bacteria, etc. Plaque buildup is usually white to cream colored in appearance, but the tar from the cigarettes and the small amounts of resin from the marijuana have given it the yellow appearance. To get rid of it- If you quit smoking, it will only get rid of the yellow color. The plaque will still continue to buildup in its natural color.
