Red Spot On My Tonsil?

My throat has been hurting for a few days now, so i looked at it with a flashlight. I noticed my left tonsil looked like it had 2 red (bloody?) spots on it. I don't have a fever or headache or any other symptoms of strep, it just feel like my throat is kind of tight.

Red spots on tonsils?

Tonsillitis is when your tonsils are red & swollen & have white patches on them. (mayo clinic).

It could just be a very bad sore throat.
Sounds like you know the usual things to do.
May I also suggest gargling with Hydrogen peroxide (it will feel weird because of the bubbles).
Suck on Zinc lozenges.
Take Vit C 2000mg every 2 hours for 2 days.
Zinc 50 mg.

Hope you feel better

White stuff in tonsils? Red spots on roof of mouth?

Your white stuff in your tonsils is technically called Tonsil stones.
Tonsil Stones or tonsillitis is caused by an accumulation of sulfur producing bacteria and debris that become stuck in the tonsils. This causes the bad taste, or smell. In these cases people with lumps or white stuff (stone like white or even yellow buildup) in the throat, also may have a breath problem.

Long Term solution: you should try some medicinal or natural treatment. Or if your problem is serious--or reoccurring another solution is to get a tonsillectomy, that's removal of the tonsils.

Temporary solution: scrape your tongue with a tongue scraper. Use listerine, because it kills some of the bacteria. Sometimes people can "cough" them up. This is not recommended.

This is actually common, nothing to be embarrassed about. :) Talk to the Dr!

Red spots in my mouth, on the inside of my cheeks, roof of my mouth, tongue, and tonsils?

I currently have mono and my tonsils were recently very swollen (they aren't anymore). However, I have little red bumps on the inside of my mouth, the inside of my cheeks, the roof of my mouth, my tongue and tonsils. I'm salivating a great deal more than normal but my throat is still very raw; it stings when I drink orange juice (even the vinegar from ketchup made it sting) and my teeth feel very sharp (perhaps this means my tongue is very sensitive at the moment). Any suggestions of medications or remedies of any sort to make it feel better?

I got some yellow spots on my tonsils and the back of my throat has a couple bumps they are very red, any idea what i might be?

Going to doctor tomorrow so ive taken care of it id just like to know what it might be! Honestly ive had this for I think a couple weeks. Began feeling sick but that passed. No my throat is just kinda raw and i got some yellow spots on my tonsills and my throat has a couple bumps that are very red, just foud the spots today

My tonsils are huge, and have red spots along with white chunks all over them?

The white spots are almost certainly tonsil stones As you describe them as chunks. If you can keep from gagging, you can gently tease them out with a small blunt object. You can also purchase a device specifically for removing them. Just nothing too sharp. Explore the pocket each stone comes out of as I've seen many stones come out of each pocket. It might be hard to do on yourself tho. Maybe a friend can help. You don't mention pain so likely you had a sore throat in the past and these accumulated. If you are in pain or have a fever, you need to see a dr as there's an ongoing infection besides the tonsil stones. It's basically old pus that solidified. A doctor can also remove them of course. You do need to get them out of there as all those open pockets they sit in can collect bits of food and cause more infections. I wish I knew you, I'd be happy to remove them for you. I love this kind of stuff! Some sore throat lozenges that numb the throat might help if you gag a lot.
