My Tv Goes Blank After Turning It On. Vide Included

Monitor keeps going black, check video cable?

Make sure that the connection is secure on the cable running between the monitor and the pc... there should be 2 fasteners/screws on each end... secure it at well as possible... this may fix your problem. If it does, I recommend picking up a power strip and using that to control the power to your monitor instead so you don't risk damaging anything by constantly doing things with the wires. (That said, you're pretty hard pressed to mess up a power cable...)

Most other things would cause a problem that would in some way manifest in what you could see in those intervals when it's working.

Also though, if it's literally 2 seconds on, 2 seconds off, like clockwork, constantly (And no wires or swaying or anything) it may be the monitor dying... it may also be the video card dying... but I don't think it would recover.

(Sidenote: It sounds kind of like the Win Vista/7 UAC... but the no signal message shouldn't occur when that happens, so it's probably not that.)

Why does my sony tv take 30 seconds to turn on?

Actually the TV is running safety checks on the power supply circuits, communcations between the micro and the video/audio processors AND downloading your last settings....

That's why it takes 30 seconds before the picture is actually displayed...

Why does my video screen go black while watching a video on my iPhone?

I have noticed a software bug that turns the screen black if you cover up the proximity sensor when you hold it in landscape orientation watching a video. A reset of the phone fixes it immediately. I’m no software engineer, but its like the phone is still in call mode and does not disable the sensor.

My PS2 will turn on but my TV is just black?

There could be something wrong with the ps2's video/audio cable. Unplug it from both the TV input and PS2 output then plug it back. If this doesn't work you may need to buy a new cord.
Note: It may even be the fault of the TV input you're using. If your TV has multiple RCA audio/video inputs, try all of them)

It is also possible the lens and/or insides of the PS2 are dusty as this console has a tendency of gathering dust. Try taking a low powered vacuum to the sides of the PS2 where you can see ventilation holes and run it along the sides. This should at least get rid of some dust build-up.

Note: If you haven't had any experience in managing electronic devices get somebody who has for this next step:
If the previous steps I mentioned fail to fix the problem it's time to crack open the PS2.
With a q-tip and lens cleaner gently clean off the lens removing all dust on and around it. Make sure you are gentle with the lens and don't touch it with your bare fingers.
This should fix most problems from skipping DVD's to games that just won't start. But if you try all of these ideas and your PS2 still doesn't work, it most likely is broken in some way and buying a new one seems like the only option unless you want to send it in to get fixed.

(Note: Even when the PS2 is unplugged from the wall and for a while after, it still carry's enough voltage to kill a man if not handled properly)

My tv turns on but the screen stays black?

One bad transistor or capacitor could shut down the whole deal, it may be a simple fix. But then again, you can go to a thrift store and get a nicer used one for 20 bucks. Im sure that a shop will charge more to fix yours. The thrift stores have lots of tv's now that everyone is replacing their old ones with the new lcds.
Most thrift stores have their tv's on, so you can see them working, or at least have a place to plug them in. make sure you get the right remote if you buy one there.

Make sure your is set on the proper "input" setting first, tho. Like on Video, or cable, etc, or on channel 3 if that is the requirement.
If the power chassis on the tube is working correctly, you can usualy hear a slight snappy sound when you turn it on or off, as the high voltage section fires up. If you cant hear it, chances are something has failed.

My sansui tv screen goes black at random times?

There could be a problem with that HDMI port or the cable you're using, otherwise the TV internally might have a fault in that circuit that controls that ports input and video/audio processing. Now if you're connecting the Laptop up to the TV via VGA port and the cable box via coax cable wire etc then it may explain the problem is indeed in the HDMI port/ports or HDMI cable or it's inside the TV video/main board or in the power supply.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way be sure to try different HDMI ports and cables.

Why does my Sanyo TV have a black screen? How can I fix it?

The problems could be:It is not connected to power. It is connected to a switched power plug turned OFF at the power switch. It is connected to a UPS and the UPS is OFF.It is connected to power, the power is good, but the switching power supply within the TV is bad.It is connected to power, turned on, but the video source is not selected correctly. It is connected okay at the wall, but is not connected okay at the back of the TV, if the TV has this style power plug. Make sure both connections are secure.Everything is okay, but you have gone into hysteria over Hillary’s loss, and can no longer see or hear television due to a temporary brain rewiring under this hysteria. You have blindness, often a medically correctable condition today. If you are reading this, you are not blind. That’s about it.

My TV turns on but the screen is black. When I take it to my friends house it works just fine. What's going on?

Hmmmm, If your TV works at your friend’s house but not yours, think about anything that might be different. Are you using your original HDMI cable, set top box, coax wire, antenna, DVD player in both locations? Is the cable connected to the same input jack on your TV in both locations?Without an array of fancy video test equipment, you can simply substitute every component and cable from your house into your friend’s TV setup. One possibility if you are using a TV antenna is that the antenna, antenna amplifier, signal splitter, or coax cable at YOUR house is defective and your TV might be producing a “solid black screen” until it receives a good video signal. If you are using an antenna amplifier, posdibly the “wall wart” power adapter has died or gotten unplugged. If you are older than dirt (like I am), and you are using the output from an old VCR video recorder to your TV, you might need to verify your TV is tuned to channel 3 or 4.You might take your friend’s TV, cables, and input devices to your house and confirm that your friend’s TV, cables and devices work in your house.Working together with your friend, you should be able to isolate what works and what doesn't work at your house.
