When I play my PS3, my TV turns off by itself. When I turn it back on it happens again!?
Hmm. The only thing I could think would be doing this is actually an easy fix. If you have your ps3 hooked up to a hdtv then you need to make sure the resolution you have the ps3 putting out is not exceeding what your tv can handle. Example - my tv is a 720P if i had the ps3 hooked up via HDMI and it was putting out a 1080i picture my tv would shut off until i reset the settings in the ps3. Once again, hope this works since ya didn't list what kind of tv you have, what kind of connection you are using.
Why would a TV turn off and on by itself?
Okay, I am not sure that this is the reason why your television turns itself on and off, but this is what happened to me.For a short time, I suspected that someone was coming into my house during the day while I was working. Why? Because the television would periodically be on or set to a channel that I would never watch. I was, at that time, leaving the patio sliding door open so that my dog could go in and out during the day as she needed.Until one day while I was home during the day watching television. All of a sudden, the tv started changing channels and turning itself on and off. What was occuring was that at that particular time of the day, sunlight was hitting the remote sensor on the television. With a tree moving in front of the light when there was enough of a breeze to cast shadows causing the tv to turn off and on and switch channels!Not sure that this is what is happening with yours, but it was a relief to know that it wasn't someone coming into my home!BTW, if someone had been coming into my home, my dog would have probably welcomed him/her! Not much of a watchdog at all!
My Westinghouse LCD Is TV turning off?
I have a 32 Inch Westinghouse LCD TV. It Is 5 years old and It Is turning off by It's self. I have had no problems with It until now. I will turn It on and It will stay on from anywhere from 4 to 10 minutes and randomly turn off. Then you have to wait 5 to 10 minutes to try turning It back on. You might have to keep do this for an hour or so till It will finally stay on for the night. I do watch a lot of TV but they say these TV's are suppose to last like 20 years but It's been 5 years and something Is already broke? Do you have any ideas of what Is wrong with It and If It Is a part I can buy for a easy fix or Is a repair guy required? Do you know what Is wrong with It? Thanks
How can you prevent a Vizio TV from turning itself off?
Vizio Tv’s have a few issues with the graphics boards inside of the TV. I had to replace my board for the same reason. It randomly shut itself off, locked up, froze pictures, and did a number of other strange things. There are only a few models that Vizio is willing to repair for free.I would check out repair videos on YouTube. most components insider of TVs are reasonably easy to fix. Unfortunately, without electronics knowledge, it is better to replace these entire microchip boards. Don’t get overwhelmed. It is still easy to do this. Just make sure that when you order replacement boards, that you are matching serial numbers and versions to the new parts. otherwise you will end up throwing away money, and nobody likes to do that.
